That Dewalt ToughSystem cooler that you’ve been eyeing? The one that launched at $149 and is still $110 at some Dewalt dealers? It’s currently on sale for $58.49 at Amazon.
The cooler is compatible with Dewalt ToughSystem tool boxes and will be compatible with Dewalt ToughSystem 2.0 tool boxes that will be available in a couple of months. I’m assuming that’s the reason for this pricing. Or, maybe it’s to clear warehouse shelves to make room for Dewalt Tstak and Craftsman Versastack rolling coolers.

It features 27 quarts of space, 5 days of ice retention, IP65-rated water and dust resistance, and has a load capacity of 88 lbs.
This is the best price I’ve ever seen on this ToughSystem cooler.
Price: $58.49

Good deal! So good I even ordered from Canada. These are $224 at Home Depot here (though I’ve seen them for about $150 from other retailers when they go one sale) and I got two for ~$200 with with the currency conversion, shipping and taxes. Thanks for posting these deals Stuart.

Has any ToolGuyd user actually tried this? I just bought this on impulse, and am hoping it will be comparable in quality to my RTIC coolers. The boxy shape makes me hope that it will do double-duty as a decent platform; the Yeti Roadie and RTIC coolers aren’t as stable as I want, when I need a quick step up.

I have used the DS400’s as a “step up” in certain situations.
I believe they are identical sans the insulation and color.
Though I didn’t step in the center, I gingerly squared up 275lbs more towards the corners.
I’m not recommending this though.
Just get one of these on sale for cheap.

Shows up as $90 in the link
Stuart
Sorry, looks like Amazon sold out and tool their direct listing down.
Chris
Rakuten has this on sale as well for the same price (from CPO) plus a 15% off code “HOME15”.

I had some points I needed to spend anyways and got it for $44 after tax.
The closest comparable yeti is the Roadie 20 for $200. I think I can live with this for 1/4 the price.
Johan
Thanks just ordered one

Not on sale for this price at Amazon
Chris
Amazon changes prices rapidly when the see an uptick in sales.
Rakuten still has it.

I got one at the sale price from Amazon. Thanks for the tip, ToolGuyd. I’ve been eyeing these for years.

Same here. Changes to $90 once you add it to your cart.

I’ve had mine back and forth from jobsite for 3 months and on a few road trips.
It’s better quality plastic on the shell than the rest of the toughsystem line. Feels sturdier, the latch’s are also powder coated pretty thick. Everyone comments on it as they bum cold gatorades.
Bottle opener is useless, you just end up spraying the soda or beer down the side of it. Also no drain port so it’s better with cold packs than ice
Still seems way nicer than the $100 I spent on it.
The What?
Well I think one of the reasons why the price dropped is because it ain’t hot outside and there ain’t a lot of people buying coolers after September. And I also don’t see why they would drop the price just to make some shelf space available for something that ain’t even out yet. They have more than enough space in their warehouses and distribution hubs for all of that sht. The price went down cuz nobody was paying $150 for the cooler and they were collecting dust. If the name of the manufacturer were on the front of it instead of Dewalt, then it would’ve retailed for its current price when it was released and that’s a fact. $150 is a lot of money for an insulated shelled plastic box with a hinged lid and the Dewalt name screened on the front doesn’t make the value of an igloo or Ozark trail cooler increase 3 fold.

You’re welcome 🙂
I was the person who posted it on the “other” site.
Chris
What is the “other” site? Surely it’s not so offensive that it’s a secret…
