Since I already have a Dremel and tool many cutting, carving, grinding, sanding, and polishing accessories, I’d just like to buy that box.
Stuart
You and me both.
Unfortunately, it only seems to be a bundle option. What I am hoping is that it’s made available as an accessory, possibly after the upcoming holiday season.
Dennis
I concur as well. Put the box up for sale and I’ll buy it.

I just switched from an old $15 plastic box (from Walmart I think) to a bigger multi-trayed Craftsman due to have too much Dremel junk to fit in the old box.
So this one might not work for me since it doesn’t look like its big enough, but it does look nice on the outside. I’d like to see the interior too.

Seems like Dremel is looking for another revenue stream with this kit– the “premium” gift buyer. At least that’s my guess. I’m also predicting discounts on this kit if they’re shipping it to big box stores in quantities for Black Friday.
As far as the toolbox itself, I am positive that I’ve seen it elsewhere (without the Dremel logo) and it was pretty low quality. Personally I’d rather use a decent multi-drawer (like Mac mentions above) rather than this one.
For now I’m having good results (not to mention less weight and less metallic “clang”) with a couple of Plano 3700-size plastic boxes in a soft-sided bag. I’m a little surprised that Stuart doesn’t have a customized foam-lined Bosch Boxx for his Dremel stuff.
Stuart
Actually, my Dremel tools and accessories are in an L-Boxx, although without padding. The bits and accessories are all in reused Dremel accessories boxes from the various accessory kits I have purchased over the years.
Still, the idea of a compact hybrid tool box for a smaller to-go Dremel tool kit might sounds nice. Sometimes I want to leave the kitchen sink at home.

sorry guys. that box looks like a teenage girls makeup kit.
The road case look only works on real road cases. Since Bosch owns Dremel, seems a better idea to do the L Boxx kit with one drawer.

totally agree..

I agree as well. I own a 1987 American made Craftsman rebranded Dremel and I went to a yard sale recently and bought a slightly beat up American made portable metal toolbox and this works pretty great. Nothing special about the color of my box, just a faded manilla color.
If you are going to do a road box, might as well use real road cases. There would be a good chance I’d be heckled if I ever had that, as some might think the work I do is work with Barbie’s dream house or sell make up.

For that kind of money, I would get the Foredom K.5240 and never look back.
Stuart
Foredom tools are great, but they’re not very portable.

I just purchased a Keter tool box that has two levels with small bins from Lowes to store my Dremel accessories. I also found a husky tool box that has bins in the upper compartment and a larger lower compartment that the Dremel tools and other larger accessories would fit nicely. It’s hard to tell from the picture how much room there is in this tool box from Dremel. It looks fairly small.

I think I’ll go for fishing tackle box or build one.

if the tool box only is for the 4200 let me know
