Over at Amazon, today’s deal of the day is this Dremel Ultimate 3-tool combo for $150. It includes Dremel’s Saw-Max compact saw, 3000-series rotary tool, and MM20 oscillating multi-tool.
For the price, you get a lot of bang for your bucks. The only thing I wish was different is if the MM20 oscillating tool was swapped for the newer and slightly better featured MM30 version. Still, the MM20 is quite capable even if not Dremel’s latest and greatest.

Keep in mind that this month there is also a Dremel $20 off $150 promo instant discount (more info), although it does not work on this 3-tool combo. The 3-tool combo is a little light on accessories, but overall you do save quite a bit than if you were to buy all 3 tools separately.
According to other product listings, the regular price for the 3-tool combo is ~$230. In other words, with a $150 sales price you save nearly 35%.

Of course the $20 off of $150 doesn’t work with this combo, the combo is$149.99 he said with a smirk. Seriously I’m torn on this combo, it’s a great deal. I’ve thought about buying the saw, and I could always use another dremel (mainly because I’m lazy and don’t want to keep changing the one in the router base with the router table base). Or I could leave the flex shaft on all the time, but wait there is a flex shaft tool coming out… But I don’t need another multi-tool, especially an older design. Oh what to do, what to do….

You know what I meant. Add a Dremel accessory to the order and the combo still wouldn’t be eligible for the promo discount.
The 3000 isn’t really an older design, it’s Dremel’s 2nd newest rotary tool. The 4200 is a step up from the 4000, but the 3000 remains the latest middle ground option.
