I started to write about a new Dewalt Tstak freebie promo, but I find myself distracted. Did you know that the price of a Dewalt Tstak tool box dropped to just $16 on Amazon? Because that’s new to me. I don’t know what I should do first – write this deal post, or calculate how many more Tstak tool boxes I might need to buy.
The “long handle” Tstak has also dropped in price, to $20 on Amazon. It’s a nice general purpose standalone tool box, with a main compartment, organizer lid compartment, and long carrying handle.

Anyways, so here’s the promo: now through 11/19/2016, buy at least $50 in select Dewalt tools or accessories on Amazon, and get a free Dewalt Tstak tool box.
Here’s our initial intro post on the Dewalt Tstak tool box system.
The eligible tools must be sold and shipped from Amazon. As of the time of this posting, there were 854 eligible items, mainly (or entirely) power tool accessories – from what I could tell.
You have to add the Tstak tool box to your cart, and the price will be deducted from your order at checkout. No, this and other Dewalt Tstak tool boxes are not eligible for the deal.

It appears that if you only want to buy the boxes at $15.99 there is a limit of 3 per customer.
Stuart
I noticed that too.
But… one could always place multiple orders.
I checked, and the Tstaks aren’t eligible for the promo, and so it’s not a measure to prevent one from buying over $50 of Tstak boxes at once.
Maybe a number of users ordered multiple boxes and they arrived damaged. Or maybe they are manufacturer-imposed quantity constraints.
Or it could be to discourage reselling.
Derek
What ever happened with the Dewalt Tstak brackets that mounted on a wall and you could slide these out?
Stuart
Those brackets are for the Tough System tool boxes, and it’s still coming out.

Doh! Thanks Stuart. Guess I can’t stack up on the Tstaks then.
Travis
Pretty decent promotion. Buy a blade or 2 for your saw of choice and get a tstak. I love my tstak boxes and could always use more.
Tom
In September I bought one of each TSTAK boxes from HD and returned all but the long handle and deep box. I was about to check if it was cheaper, but I paid $19.99 for the long handle too. The others were close to the amazon prices; some cheaper and some more
Jason
The Tstaks never seemed to take off like the Toughboxes.
Sam
Are these interchangeable with the Stanley FatMax Tstak? I noticed a three piece combo of the Stanley branded one at Lowes this weekend.

Well, that’s new to me!
I’m fairly sure that Stanley FatMax Tstak = Dewalt Tstak with different colors and lebeling.
Sam
Thank you Stuart,
I am now pondering standardizing on one system to store all my miscellaneous tool items like a jig saw, skill saw, sanders etc. I am not heavily invested yet in any one system but do have a tstak long handle and deep drawer unit for my Dewalt 12v related stuff and a toughsystem flat top that came with the 18v dewalt set I purchased a couple of black fridays ago. Plus a L-boxx that came with my Bosch 12v screwdriver (it is my goto tool).
I think I am headed toward a decision that might be driven by black friday pricing deal. Time to take some measurements and set back and see what comes up over the next month.
Again thank you for sharing the information about storage systems.
Travis
Whoa. These are new to me too. I love my Tstak boxes. I keep all my interior finishing tools in them. My rough tools go in the Ridgid Pro line.
Dan
I really like my Tstak boxes. I don’t know why they are not more popular. I have 4 of the flat tops and one deep box that holds my circular saw. I think I paid ~$15 ea. for the flat tops, which is a bargain compared to the equivalent Bosch L-Boxx. The deep box was less than $20. Since they are mostly for storage and moving tools around the house/garage, the tough system was overkill. I wish they made on flat top that was in between the regular flat top and the deep box. No bells or whistles, just a bit taller.
If DeWalt wanted people to buy into Tstak, they should add an option to sell their tools in a box with custom insert, just as Bosch do. Much better than a canvas bag.
Jimmie
I keep waffling over these. Wish there was a wall-mounting option. I’m a little wary of locking myself into an ecosystem in case something new comes along.
Related question for readers: what organizers are folks using for portable small parts storage?
Stuart
Stanley and Dewalt offer shallow parts organizers. Milwaukee and Dewalt both have larger compartment parts organizers.
“Small parts” means different things to different people.
Matt
So, these are a lot cheaper than the L-Boxxes… not as good? Comparable?
Brian
I can’t get this to work. I’ve put my items of choice (~$70 for just these and from the list of items in the promotion) along with the box in my cart but when I go to checkout, there’s no discount… help?
Uzvards
The promo works indeed (received my package from Amazon yesterday), but you have to choose not any random DeWALT item but only amongst those listed on the promo pages (36 pages to go through!), mostly power tool accessories.
