Amazon slashed the price of this Gearwrench Microdriver tool set – again – this time down to $12.15.
I’m a big fan of this 35pc tool set, and feel that it’s a great price anytime it dips below $18.
It went to $14 and change for Black Friday and is now $12.15. You get free shipping with Prime membership or orders over $35.

I’ve got mine, but at this price I’m thinking hard about whether anyone in my life could use a set.
Amazon dropped the price of some of their other Gearwrench tool deals for Cyber Monday, presumably to help clear out slower-moving inventory, but this was the biggest winner I’ve noticed so far.
Have you noticed any other Cyber Monday tool deals that got better as the day progressed?
I really wish that retailers would start off with their lowest prices of the season.

I bought one of these for every car in the family a couple years ago.

Same, and each of my sister in-laws. It’s just enough to change a battery or something else small.

Thanks. I’ll have to do a “re-buy , return” since they never price match their stuff. Looking forward for an easy carry around set for small jobs

It’s very frustrating that Amazon refuses to do price adjustments. First time the customer service rep told me to return and rebuy I was surprised. I don’t understand how that’s cost effective for them.
Stuart
Back in the day they *did* offer price adjustments, and I’m sure that sucked up a lot of customer service time.
Sometimes they can make one-time exceptions, but I’ve been told to do return-rebuy even for high ticket items and $50 to $100 differences.
It’s probably cost-effective because most customers aren’t going to go through the hassle of rebuying and returning items for small price changes.

I chatted with customer service and got a $20 credit when a Fitbit went on sale 2 days after I bought it. They gave the standard response that they don’t do adjustments, but would give me a credit “just this one time”.
The interesting thing is the invoice still has the original price, so when it broke 18 months later I was able to submit the full price to Visa Signature for reimbursement!

I looked at a few gearwrench things over the weekend, could not decide favorably on the discount on msrp, vs what it should truly cost.

I have one of these sets and its a great tool to have, but I wish the case were a little studier and more secure.

I have three (two are gearwrench and the third is a Husky in a different style case but otherwise identical) of these kits scattered about. The bit ratchets in them are pretty good and I don’t think I’ve ever paid less than $15 for one so the $12.xx price is excellent.

I caught a lowes deal years ago and snagged 3 for 10$ a pc. I use a set everyday and as an industrial mechanic , this little set has save me more times than I can count.
I will get another one.
Clay
Talked me into it.

Thanks for the notice! Just got it with the extra discount to $12. I skipped it last year… perfect in travel bag

Well, it’s back up to $28.

I bought a couple while it was on sale for Christmas gifts this year. It’s a great set for lots of different things. I have had my own set for a couple years now and I keep it in the house for little projects when I don’t want to have to go out to my shop for sockets or screw drivers.

$28.63 for me.
I’ll wait for another $12 deal.

Took me a year…

$27.99 no where close to $12.15 lies

This was a Cyber Monday deal. It’s now almost Thursday. Sorry – you missed the deal.

These things are great. Wish I had seen the deal, would have gifted it to some one. I use mine all the time.
