It’s Green Monday 2019 – here are all the most notable tool deals we’ve come across. As far as we can tell, the special Green Monday promos are one-day only, 12/9/2019. The focus seems to be on cordless power tools, but there are a couple of other deals mixed in.

Acme Tools Promo
Over at Acme Tools, they have a Green Monday promo where you save more when you buy more.

- Spend $149+, get $15 off
- Spend $299+, get $35 off
- Spend $599+, get $75 off
There are the typical brand exclusions and specific SKUs and already-discounted tools are also excluded.
This type of promo always takes a little more effort than a fixed money-off or percent-off discount, but it can be worth it depending on what you’re looking to buy.

Amazon Kershaw Scallion EDC Knife Deals
The Kershaw Scallion is a fantastic EDC knife. Basically, it’s the smaller brother of the Kershaw Leek knife that I posted about the other day.
It features a 2.4″ blade, assisted opening mechanism, and anodized aluminum or stainless steel handle. Like the Leek, the Scallion is also made in the USA.

I bought mine on sale 4 years ago when the blue-handled version was a deal of the day at $36.
The Scallion is a solid smaller-sized EDC folding knife.
Update: As a reminder, you are responsible for knowing your local knife laws before buying or carrying any pocket knife. Here’s a good resource to start with. Assisted opening knives are sometimes mis-categorized and misinterpreted. When in doubt, full-manual knives are the safer choice.
I can’t really see any other tool deals on Amazon worth mentioning, but have a peek – maybe you’ll have better luck.
Makita 18V X2 Cordless Track Saw Bonus Buy
I’m sorry, I keep meaning to post about this fantastic deal on Makita’s cordless track saw kit, where you get 2 free bonus batteries and a bonus 39″ guide rail. I’ll try to get a post up on this soon, but in the meantime, hopefully this quick reminder is useful to anyone planning to splurge on this kit before the end of the year.
Update: Acme Tools also has this promo, and their SAVINGGREEN coupon STACKS on top, saving you an additional $35! Add $100 of eligible tools to your order and save another $40!! (The kit is $499, and the savings increase if your order is over $599.)

Dewalt Compact Router Kit
Dewalt’s DWP611PK compact router kit is on sale for $139 at both Amazon and Acme Tools. It was ~$169 before that. Unfortunately, it’s not eligible for extra discounts or savings. It looks like other Dewalt dealers have it on sale for $139 right now as well.

An alternative to the $499 makita tracksaw kit deal with batteries and guide rail is the $347.99 Home Depot deal for the same kit minus the promo items. (If you’d rather spend the extra dough on 55″ guide rails and not on batteries)
Matt
I still think it’s a better deal on acme.
Track saw with 2 batteries
2 free batteries
Free track
55” track
Dewalt track clamps
Two track mounting kit
All for $571 shipped.
Julian
CPO had the tracksaw kit WITH the two extra batteries plus the free rail for $347 on their Bfriday deal. Simply amazing deals at CPO this year if you could get them while they lasted
MattF
Darn, I missed that one and still spent a lot at CPO.

I’m pretty bummed out too. Need to buy this and it’s too bad I didn’t notice that deal.
Matt F
Don’t be too bummed, I have long thought about the cordless version, but with an autostart vac, the corded version is very nice.
I actually bought the same cordless set from Acme fro $425 and sold it for about $425, keeping the small track. So for a profit? I decided I didn’t want to deal with another battery platform.
Tim D.
This is the reason I bought the corded model.
I’m already connecting my vacuum to it 99% of the time. Might as well plug the power cord into the vacuum and have it autostart for me.
I know Makita has the bluetooth option, but I don’t (and probably won’t) have a Makita dust collector, since I got the Metabo ones cheap last year.

i got the tracksaw at hd last year 4 batteries 55 inch track saw and 2 cases $399

Hey Stuart, I notice you don’t cover a lot of stuff at CPO Outlets. Occasionally there’s a passing mention, but after buying loads of stuff from them, toolnut, toolup, acme tools and a couple others, I have repetitively been impressed with their prices, sales, and reliable shipping. Every other online company has failed me at some point, but I’ve never had an issue with them.
Over BF/CM I purchased about $2500 in tools and out of that they got $2200 of that. Everything delivered on time. I’m still waiting for acme tools to even give me an estimate on a tool that showed in stock when I bought it, but now is a backordered item. I had to call them to find out what was up.
I bought four of CPO Outlet’s spectra LL100N rotary lasers that were reconditioned for $138 each +tax and one new DeWalt DW074LR for $242 (tax included). All of them in new condition, with booklets and brand new receivers and zero scratches.
Anyways, just think you should do more highlights on them.
Stuart
I tend to focus on retailers where I shop more, otherwise there are too many things to keep track of.
We’re a CPO affiliate again, and I’ll be checking in on their deals from time to time. They have impressed me with some of their holiday promos.

I also picked up a sub compact LXT Rotary hammer kit that included a free LXT 3/8″ impact wrench for $154 (most stores sell the bare rotary hammer for $120 or so), and another LXT 3/8″ impact wrench kit with two batts, charger and case for $137.
But the real deals I missed – they had all FLEX tools at around an 60-80% discount… just crazy town pricing on vacs, drywall sanders and grinders.
In general, CPO has higher than average prices, but one thing they do that other’s don’t is stack promo deals, so sometimes you can get 3 offers on a certain item.

I had to look up definition of “Green Monday” Thought maybe only Hitachi or Ryobi Tools on sale! I am getting old….lol
Like another poster mentioned I am glad tool outlets including CPO are covered in Toolguyd. I just purchased a Hitachi Refurbished 3/8” corded drill from CPO and received it yesterday. Looks and runs like new AND included the case! Price was so cheap on this deal I am embarrassed to mention it!
Robert
Embarrassing? I originally saw it for $5.58 (went up after a bit) and it made me want to buy 5 of them just to walk down the road and hand out to people (I restrained myself). I picked up some crazy deals though, glad someone bought that drill.
Diamond Dave
Yep that was the deal and even with shipping it came to around $15! Seems like a great little drill and good reviews. First Hitachi Tool Product I own. I hope my Yellow Tools don’t get jealous!
