Over at Acme Tools, they’re holding a Halloween sale where you can save 10% on select orders. What this means is that you get 10% off most of the cordless power tools, hand tools, tool storage products, or accessories that have been on your wishlist.
There are some exclusions, although it looks there are fewer than in recent promos. There’s a link to the brand and SKU exclusions below.

As usual, it looks like the promo works on new Milwaukee cordless power tool releases, which is always nice to see.
Someone recently asked me to keep my eyes open for Milwaukee Packout tool box deals for the holidays. Well, the promo code works on all of the Packout products currently in my “test cart.”

Promos like this one are good opportunities for snagging new Dewalt bare tools, klein hand tools, or any number of rarely-discounted tools from other brands.
I know what some of you might be wondering: will we see a better deal for Black Friday or Cyber Monday 2019? Acme Tools usually has a Cyber Monday discount. Last year, they had a code for 18% off one item, and with a $50 max discount. In 2017 they had 20% off one item with $150 max savings and $199+ free shipping threshold.

ToolUp is also having a 10% off (any full priced item) sale – using code “NoTricks”
They say it ends 11:59PM on 10/30/19 – and does not apply to Makita – or stack on other promotions

A few highlights for me:
Bosch CLPK22 12V drill and impact combo kit, which is currently down to $99, gets lowered to basically $89 with this deal.
Newer makita tools like the XLC04 / 05 stick vacs are included.
Unfortunately, the couple makita CXT tools rarely included in promos like the brushed drill at the $99 price point are still not included.

DeWalt needs to release a few of the newer Flexvolt tools with a bare option. Even with $150 off of the $1100 new 2″ rotohammer, I’m not fool enough to pitch that purchase to the wife lol Do I want two new 12ah batteries? Yes. Do I want to have to buy them with the tool I want much more? Not at all. I’ve already got half a dozen FV 9’s and 6’s, DeWalt. North of a grand for a single tool purchase is a little unreasonable.

If I buy a tool, I also look at selling the batteries in the kit, if I don’t need them, to subsidize the cost. Sometimes it’s worth it to buy a $1000 kit that comes with (2) 12ah and a “free” 9ah and sell the 12ahs for $150 a piece and the 9ah and charger for $130 (prices vary depending on area). So, I would ultimately get the drill and case for $570. A little legwork but, like you said, you just need the tool.
Robert
I double-checked it and yeah, $989, no tax or shipping for the kit (dch773y2) with two 12ah and a free 9ah. Definitely tempting…

Where have all the good Acme Tools gone. Lately I have been hesitant to even waste my time looking at them for good prices. They are increasingly hard to come by. The previous 18 months always saved a $100 on power tools, free shipping, (not the $199 threshold) common today.
Very disappointing-they we’re always my go to store

Maybe its mis-remembering of deals past – but I think I agree with you that the “sales”, “promos’ and deals have become more modest. The very strong economy may have something to do with it: – no need to cut prices if you can make a bundle leaving them where they are at.

Just picked up the Gen2 Circ Saw and Fuel Hackzall with free batteries. Had been on the fence but couldn’t pass this up.
