Giveaway!

Update: The Winner has been selected, and the prize ordered! It is said to arrive on Saturday, 12/24/2016! The name will be announced sometime after that to maintain the surprise. Sorry!

Update 2: Congrats to Dan W!

If you already checked out our Dewalt FlexVolt Giveaway, you might have seen where I said there would be side giveaways depending on how many entries there were.

Minor Update: That $700 limit on the FlexVolt giveaway would be extended to $800 if the FlexVolt miter saw increases from its current Amazon price of $699.

Today, we’re giving away a Dewalt DCK283D2 20V Max brushless drill and impact driver kit to one lucky winner!

Dewalt DCK283D2 Brushless Cordless Power Tool Combo Kit

The Prize: A Dewalt BRUSHLESS compact drill and impact driver combo kit. It comes with a brushless drill, impact driver, charger, carrying bag, and (2) 2.0Ah Li-ion battery packs.

Why? The drill, DCD791, is our 2016 pick for BEST COMPACT CORDLESS DRILL, and the impact driver, DCF887, is in the top running for BEST CORDLESS IMPACT DRIVER. The single-speed model was our editor’s choice. I’m still working on the 2017 updates, but both models are very strong contenders, and among my favorite drills and impact drivers to use.

The DCF887 is a nice upgrade to the DCF886, featuring 3 speed and torque modes.

The brushless motors mean greater efficiency, which translates to more power and long runtime.

Prize Fulfillment: I like these tools so much that ToolGuyd will be buying the prize. I’ve been tempted to buy a kit for myself, but my personal Bosch combo kit is still going strong.

I will be ordering the tools from Amazon, but if they should sell out before the end of the day, I’ll order them from another authorized dealer.

I plan to order the prize TODAY, partly to get the prize out as a holiday surprise to the winner, partly because if I’m paying for the prize out of pocket, why not do so when the $25 savings are still in effect?!

How to Enter: Comment in reply to this post, telling us about whether you took advantage of any holiday promo deals and what you bought (if anything), and then tell me what you’d do with this 20V Max brushless combo kit.

You MUST also then fill out this form with your shipping address:

ADDRESS FORM

Why? Because I hope to order the combo kit and get it delivered to the winner before Christmas. If that’s not possible, they’ll still get it early next week.

Winner Selection: The ONE winner will be selected at random.

Rules: The entry period ends at 10pm ET, today, 12/22/2016. The winning comment will be selected, and then I will grab your shipping address info from the form, linked above.

If the shipping information is incomplete, I will select another winner.

The address and shipping information entered into the form will only be used for the purpose of this giveaway. I plan to delete all entries afterwards.

I stocked up on some dewalt tough system 150 boxes and have the kaizen foam for them now too. This compact kit would be ideal for one of my boxes. It would also enable me to have a compact set to use in place of my overly large 771 drill.

I just entered the other giveaway, but this is all I need. Can you remove me from that one? My only tool purchases were some Bessey Parallel clamps from Zoro since Jet decided not to do their 50% off deal (or respond to my email).

This combo would replace my Dewalt 18v drill and be used all around my house, used for my hobby of woodworking and to replace all of my dad’s deck boards with him in the spring.

Thanks for having this giveaway. I haven’t entered the FlexVolt one yet because I don’t have a current need for those tools and I’d rather someone who can use them immediately would win (although I really like the miter saw).

I’ve been very happy with my 12V Dewalt tools (augmented with 18V Ryobi) but have been looking to move up the the 20V Dewalt.

I haven’t taken advantage of any of the recent tool deals (except some small purchases from Home Depot). We’ve been saving money for a trip so that pretty much eliminated the tool (and “toy”) budget for now.

If I win, the tools will be used for “random” stuff around the home. Things that I can do with the 12V tools now but might be a little easier with 20V. I’m sure they’d also make trips to work on occasion.

I bought a ton of Milwaukee stuff on a single day when Acme Tools had a free shipping promo (without the normal $199 minimum purchase) and stacked it with the $20 off $100 Milwaukee promo. Surprisingly, the $20 off $100 Milwaukee promo could be used multiple times, so I saved ~20% off of all of my “Christmas to me, from me” presents. I also used this promo to buy eligible items for the Milwaukee online rebates, so hopefully those free items get here soon!

Oh, I also did the 20% off of 3 or more eligible Milwaukee hand tools at Toolbarn on a day where they dropped the free shipping minimum to $99 (instead of the normal $200). I got the Cheater Bar with 2 free wrenches from them, along with the Basin Wrench and the Oil Filter wrench. Sadly, I could only use this promo once, even though the Toolbarn Customer Service told me that there was no limit.

Sorry for the multiple posts. I wish there was a way to edit posts (I know that there was some discussions previously of the difficulty and security concerns of changing this).

Anyhow, I forgot to mention how I discovered Blade HQ from a Black Friday post here on Toolguyd. I ended up buying some sweet automatic Kershaw knives on that site (my first Automatics!), and the knives are so beautiful that I’m afraid to use them! I’m just sticking to my cheap Milwaukee Fastbacks for EDC. I also got a free t-shirt and freedom shipping with my purchase!

I bought a DeWalt 735X planer, and separately, the stand for it, taking advantage of two $25-off $100 prices through Amazon. I am invested in DeWalt’s 20V line; adding the brushless driver would be great because I often find myself looking to drill holes of two sizes (and am lazy and don’t want to switch bits), or would use a second driver to put screws in gently, where an impact driver isn’t desirable. (Think woodworking projects).

I visited ToolGuyd frequently during this holiday season to stay up on all the promos and to help choose the right tools. Some of the promos I scored for myself and family were the Bosch random orbiting sander, Skil router bit set, Husky tool bag, Werner 4ft step ladder, and Zircon stud finder with level. I’d use this 20V Max brushless combo kit to replace an old 18V NiCad Drill that won’t hold power. It would allow me to finish some household projects for the wife that I’m behind on and to tackle some garage organization and furniture projects I have been itching to start. This combo would be great to build from!

I jumped on the starter kit and added the new brushless SDS Plush Impact masonry drill and the grease gun. My neighbors Bobcat has a couple dozen zerks that I’m excited to break free for him. We tried replacing the zerks and stripped them out. Hopefully 10,000 PSI of grease will blow through them and open them up?

I also did 2x the $25 off $100 with consumables (Bits and Blades) and the 20v LED light.

I’d use the drill to help crank up the legs on my Truck camper. I opted out of the automatic lifting legs for manual ones, the deWald drill will a home made bolt bit should do the trick. Right now me and the wife crank on each leg by hand…. she can’t hang as long as I. I usually get the duty of cranking on 3 legs to her 1. She would love me for it.

Batteries don’t hold charge, chuck is slipping. I’d definitely put this stuff to use and buy into their 20v system. Been waiting for that impassable deal, but without time to get out shopping I just haven’t come across it.

First off this would be replacing my Ryobi drill and driver, it was a great set for my home remodel last year but it with all the heavy work it was doing, the drill now has a heavy “wobble.” Now that I am doing more woodworking, a wobble free drill would be great for precision!

This holiday season I got some nice bargains on hand tools from Acme, KC and Amazon.

One of my pickups was the Felo 62411 six-piece Ergonic screwdriverdriver set, with the squishy handles. I wound up using these to get past some badly seized screws, and I have to say they’re amazing. I bought a bunch more as gifts for family.

If I’m selected for the DeWalt giveaway, these will be the first cordless power tools I own. I’ll use the DCF887 impact driver to speed up my mechanic work and an outdoor carpentry project in my yard, and I’ll use the DCD791 hammer drill for general all-around hole-making in my metalworking projects. Presently my only power drill is a corded Bosch 1030VSR workhorse, and I love the thing but it would be nice to move around without a cord.

I could also use the batteries and charger with one of DeWalt’s cordless worklights. I’ve gotten familiar with these working in a friend’s shop. They’re awesome and I’m sure they run basically forever on 20Vmax batteries.

Sadly I have to say I’ve not used any of the deal promo’s this year. So that might disqualify me. Our holiday shopping this year centered on furniture and a new laptop and mobile phone. However, I would love to receive this particular combo as I happen to have a weaker Dewalt cordless drill and impactor. And I would happily pass on my current set onto another person I know who could use a quality tool set. As I said in the Flexvolt notice – I would use these tools in the building of a new fence and either a new swingset or a new gazebo.

I also am unable to fill out your address from – it comes up and says unsecure connection when I hit the link. FYI.

    Thank you again

I took advantage of some holiday Bosch pricing to buy my first plunge router. I had been wanting to get a new drill/driver to upgrade a black and decker kit I have that’s very under powered but the router was more of a need. I would love to get into the Bosch cordless line of tools. I’m beginning a woodworking shop and having quality tools really helps.

I took advantage of the $25 promo off my Dewalt 735x planer. My wife would not let me open and play with it until AFTER Christmas. It sits on the garage floor in the box and I drool every day I come home for lunch as I walk past it.

As for the 20V Max brushless combo kit I would replace my old (2004) craftsman 19.2 drill that lasts about a good 25 minutes with my NiCad batteries, and that’s if I’m churning butter with it. I have many plans for interior faux beams for our hallway, wood siding on an accent wall, and finishing a dozen window planet boxes. I am also in the process of building new garage cabinets out of 3/4″ MDF and this drill would be sweet to go with my Kreg pocket hole kit.
I also want to set hanging planters along my backyard fence and the posts are 2″ steel tubing so I’ll be needing some uumph and self tapping screws for that job. This drill should do that with easy. So that’s just a few reason why I would love this kit.

The combo kit will replace my 10+ year old DeWalt 18v. I do find myself jealous of my friends who use more modern (and lighter) cordless drills.

I can’t say I “took advantage” of any holiday deals, since I paid full price on Amazon for most things, but I did order a few Kreg accessories for myself and a few for my dad for Christmas.

I’d use this drill & driver to build a new & better table top for the table base I just completed.

Wow…. Another great giveaway and I find myself compelled to comment for the second time in two days… I’m hooked!
This kit would certainly fill a hole in my tool collection, specifically a brushless tool hole… I have been trying very hard to kill my old brushed cordless tools so I could justify the upgrade but they just won’t give up the ghost no matter how hard I treat them!

Did I take advantage of any of the sales? I suppose I did….

    Milwaukee 2pack Multi tip Screwdriver
Dewalt 4 pack quick grip clamps
    husky 3 piece electrician screwdrivers
    3 x Milwaukee storage boxes
    Milwaukee impact bit set
Empire level and speed square combo
Lennox high tension hacksaw (Thanks for the heads up!!!)
    2 pack M18 Batteries
    Rocker woodworking vice 50% off
    2 x Rockler F style Piston Clamps 45% off
4pc Bessey Parallel Revo Jnnr clamps 25% off
Craftsman 311pc Socket Set 50% off
Costco: Us Wire and Cable 2 pack of 50ft 12/3 Extension cords for $36!!!

I picked up a Milwaukee 4 tool combo kit from Acme tools, the M18 hammer drill/driver, impact driver, hackzall, and light with 2 batteries and a charger for $299 shipped after black friday price and $25 off $200 coupon.

I got the set to augment my Makita CXT 12v drill and impact set and have been impressed so far. The M18 drill drives a 2 1/8″ hole saw through doors very nicely, the M18 1/4″ hex impact had the power to remove and fasten the lug nuts when I put on my snow tires, the hackzall has been indispensable for cutting in the field where I don’t have clamps, and the light is an added bonus.

I would give the 20v max set to my stepdad for his birthday in January, he does a lot of drilling and driving but uses a crappy old nicad drill to do it, I’d like to gift him a nice set but can’t afford to do so. Thanks for the contest!

The holiday deals I took advantage of were the $8 morakniv companion knife (impulse buy) and the $99 jawhorse. I had been waiting for it to hit sub $100 and so when I saw your post I pulled the trigger immediately. If I win this kit I will give it to my father for christmas as he is still running corded and does not trust cordless tools because he tried them in the ’80’s and they were not great. I’d love this kit because brushless is way out of my price range and this would give me an excuse to pick up other Dewalts, as I don’t currently own any back and yellow batteries.

A couple years ago my aging and heavy 18v black and Decker cheapie drill died. I was on a budget but wanted tools that would withstand the test of time. I went shopping and at the time the DeWalt 12v Max drill and impact driver combo was around $199 at Lowe’s. I was all set to walk out of the store empty handed when I walked past an almost empty display of Wounded Warrier edition of the tools … For $149. I got them. Sure, other tools were cheaper. And other tools were more expensive. For my strict budget these worked. And boy, did they work. A friend and I hung drywall in the ceiling and walls if a house I was remodeling and both tools earned their keep without breaking our arms. When I needed to pound out rusting screws in a 2x door frame, the impact driver didn’t even break a sweat. Now I am moving on to bigger projects and the muscle and lightweight nature of these XR tools will be a great step up.

Tough System Tool Boxes combined with the $25 off 100 were a huge win. About to grab some 20 degree nails for my cordless nailer now, 25% off those is a huge lift b/c they’re more expensive. And like you I seem to be a sucker for good deals on blades, knives, tape measures, drill bits, and the like this time of year! Even got flashlights for the kids for Christmas! I’m most anxious to play with the Dewalt Flex Torq Impact bits I grabbed on a sale at Lowes (I know that wasn’t one you mentioned in a post but I stumbled upon it and I’m very curious to see if it’s as advertised).

I’ve been going back and forth on grabbing a 20V combo like this. Still use the 18V but they’re so darn heavy compared to the new stuff, and it does seem like there is just more and more 20V stuff out there. And brushless? Sweet!

I look forward to getting your daily emails regarding new products and great deals while having my morning coffee! I have been keeping an eye on the Dewalt 20v Line-up for the last few months and appreciate you giving updates for all the great holiday deals! Unfortunately I didn’t pull the trigger on the Dewalt 20v lineup to replace my aging Dewalt 18v lithium set except to get a Dewalt 20v HD Impact gun with one 3.0ah battery and charger on a great deal a Sears!

I chose instead to spend my dollars switching out my Dewalt 12v Drill,Impact and Screwdriver with the same tools from Milwaukee using awesome deals Home Depot had on them this Holiday Season in promo kits. I also added the M12 sawzall, Ratchet and Dremel-type tool to my arsenal using the great HD promotions! I personally like the feel and operation of the Dewalt 12v Max better but they have done almost nothing in the past 4-5 years to add tools and I didn’t see any promotions this year on the 12v Max line so I am thinking it is not a priority with Dewalt and because of this they lost a Dewalt customer to Milwaukee, at least with that lineup!

Really would enjoy the Dewalt DCF887 impact as I have had my eye on it for months!

As to taking advantage of tool deals this season: I am getting the Porter Cable 6 gallon compressor and three nail gun combo from Home Depot as a Christmas gift from my lovely wife and kids.

Now the drill set, what can I say? I have had the same 18 volt Ridgid driver since 2003 and it is exceptionally long in the tooth… the battery holds enough charge for simple household tasks but not even close enough for a major project. That, and I hear that these new fangled impact drivers are handy to have around.

The plan is to add an addition to the house in the Spring followed by yours truly replacing the deck (necessary to tear out old deck to complete addition). Much more than my old Ridgid will be able to chew!

My recent tool hauls have been a new Hitachi 12″ SCMS that was something like $330 at Menards after 11%, and also a new California Air Tools compressor from Amazon…. It’s ridiculously quiet! I ordered the oscillating multi tool and 3/8 impact wrench. Over my xams break, I plan on using the OMT to cut out drywall for a wall mount tv wiring install and to possibly aid on some window trim removal. The 3/8 wrench will be used to run beefier lag bolts in the wall mount tv since whomever finished our basement spaced the studs 24″ and the hardware that came with mount doesn’t make me comfortable with that spacing.

Seeing what brushless can do even at 12V, winning this “20v” set would be a substantial upgrade to my personal drill driver for use at home and helping friends.

I’ve been reading your reviews for a long time, and check the site multiple times a day. Love it. Anyway fantastic give away. I have planned to get drill/impact kit soon after Christmas, because my old 19v Craftsman Ni-Cad is dropping batteries, plus it is huge. The compact size would be great, since I have a corded Dewalt drill for backup. And the impact driver would make screwing down my unfinished bonus room subfloor much faster and easier than using the drills before I install the hardwood. I have not taken advantage of any of the promo’s yet, but will probably order the Dewalt DWFP12233 Brad Nailer today from Acme while it qualifies for the additional money off. I was looking at the Bostich equivalent on Amazon, but Amazon pulled that model from the Bostich promo (save $20 deal off $100). I’ve already got the similar Bostich 16 gauge finish nailer, but need the smaller nailer for quarter round on new hardwood floors in the entire house.

New to site and was referred here by my friends. I tend to avoid these tool sites cause I’m always looking for tools for making furniture, building my home, working on my cars, and general home maintenance. How that I’m here, and I’m seeing all these bargains, my wallet is going to hurt. You can never have too many tools!! If I win, these will come in handy as I’m currently in the middle of adding an addition to our home. No tools will go idle at my house!

The only deal I’ve used so far is $25 off $100 of Dewalt at Amazon to buy a 102″ track for my tracksaw. Joining and separating my two 55″ tracks just got to be too much of a pain when breaking down plywood for cabinetry projects. I’ve been tempted to pull the trigger on other deals but just haven’t felt like the promos were that good this year so I’m saving the tool budget for now.

I would like to use this drill / impact driver set for work instead of packing and unpacking my Makita LXT tools every time I need a drill.

I haven’t jumped on any holiday deals, but checking out Amazon’s bare tool deal. The drill is my most used tool around the house and would replace my nearly-dead Dewalt 12V. The impact still would come in handy for numerous home renovation projects that are continually going on, especially driving screws to build walls and screwing down underlayment. Used a friend’s Dewalt impact driver once and it was amazing!

Wasn’t able to buy anything this year, as more pressing needs around the farm kept the bank account a bit too low. I use my 18v Bosch drill/driver around the property a ton, and as they’re getting to be quite a few years old, my batteries aren’t lasting very long. Would LOVE to try out a brushless kit. From what I read, it’s a decent step up.

Thanks again for all of the giveaways! I love the ToolGuyd site!

The only holiday discounts I used this year were for presents. Most of those presents–if not all–were directly influenced by this site. I will say that there are going to be some happy people in my family. Knipex Pliers Wrenches and Wera Screwdrivers all around this year!

I have been devoted to my Craftsman Nextec drill and impacts. They are great, but I have finally found their limits. I am finishing my basement and really need a drill with a 1/2 chuck at this point.

The only way that I could justify to my bride the expense of moving to a new system would be to win it. “Sorry hun, it looks like we are going to have to start stocking up on DeWalt batteries in the new year…..”

In retrospect “pliers” doesn’t do justice to the Knipex Cobras. If brain surgeons required water pump pliers they would use these. They are flawless in every way, save pricing.

I tell coworkers these are legacy tools. Someday when your dead and your kids are going through the garage, they will throw out the Husky 6 in 1 screwdriver and the 16oz Plumb hammer. These won’t meet that same fate.

Thanks for the reminder! I used the $25 off $100 for Dewalt and Bosch multiple times from Amazon and Home Depot (last time today after seeing this post). Got another DW618 router, a couple sanders, 20 max USB power source, SDS plus bits, etc from Dewalt and a router table and hex shank drill from Bosch. I also did the “buy a Dewalt starter kit get two bare tools” Amazon promo after seeing discussions about it on here. I did the DCD991 drill and DCH133 rotary hammer (which is quite nice even though I could not find reviews of it) and the battery pack for $241. Doing a lot of outside building lately and also framing walls for some basement finishing so I am glad to have added both tools. I could not believe how inexpensive it was to add two big brushless tools and batteries.

Around the house I use the DCD790 drill and the DCF895 3 speed impact driver and I cannot say enough nice things about them. I would love to win this kit and have an upgrade/duplicate for both of these tools. Despite seeing many say that trigger control is everything and speeds are not necessary I love them and I use the “1” speed on the impact driver almost all the time in the finished parts of the house.

I really appreciate the posts about promos for high quality tools (including how to maximize their usefulness and end date reminders).

    Hi Stuart,
I’m entering the prize giveaway. I did buy that impact driver as a Christmas gift for my contractor (currently working on our back unit/in-law/garage). His old DeWalt driver died and he’s been trying to get it repaired. he’s been using my Ryobi instead.

If I won, I’d actually give the kit to my contractor instead, and keep the bare-tool impact driver for myself. I could then start building up a DeWalt kit (I like the flexvolt table saw – I don’t have one yet). First project would be saw horses, so I could start the second project: roubo-ish workbench.

I was actually looking into purchasing this particular Dewalt kit ( DCD 791 & DCF887 ) to have around a house. Don’t have a cordrless drill yet.

Thank you & Happy Holidays !

I bought way to much for work, big items being:

Amazon had good Wera and pb Swiss deals

Home Depot had good dewalt box and small parts deals

KC tool had a Gedore 3 piece plier set deal that was pretty sweet.

I took advantage of the Home Depot Black Friday deals that you posted. I bought some of the Empire measurement tools as well as the high-capacity Ryobi lithium batteries.

With this new set of drills I would be putting in wood shelving units all around my garage as well as installing a bathroom vent light fan. I would also be putting together a Rolling Wood storage rack.

I got some bosch l-boxxes off amazon, using the $25 off $100; and some husky hand tools and a coast flashlight. I would use the dewalt combo kit, as an additional set for when I build a deck this summer, gotta have extra tools for the friends to use.

I bought Milwaukee tools from Home Depot and Acme tools in great part to your excellent “real” reviews where you highlight the pros and cons of each tool you share your personal experience and opinion. I bought the M18 Surge 2899-22 combo from acme and the 2731-22 saw with the 9.0ah battery from home depot. I would use the Dewalt combo at my firehouse.

Another awesome gesture Stu. Thanks to you, I have a set of red M12 and green 18v impact driver. On that note I have bicut compound cutters, torx impact bits, misc. Wiha drivers to mention a few. Uh huh….I do believe that there are many folks the read your site with credit cards nearby. Like I said, I have drills/drivers. If I won this DeWalt set, my plan is to give it to Habitat for Hunamity or a local charitable organization that aids in housing assistance for disabled veteran

So glad I found this site. I appreciated your reviews of deals around black friday. I got in on the 2x Dewalt tape measures kit after reading here, and some drill bits at Home Depot. Also, after reading here about the Dewalt 5.0AH starter kit deal, I took advantage of that- don’t think I would have seen that one if you hadn’t highlighted it, so thanks! Oh, and got into the Dewalt tough system too after your comparison with the Rigid boxes. If I won these brushless drill and impact, I’d put them to good use helping my aging dad rebuild his deck and fences, as winter has already taken its toll on what he’s got. My old black and decker 18v drill is long in the tooth, and “let the smoke out” when driving a lag into a gate project awhile back, so its days are numbered. Thanks again for your generosity Stuart.

Not sure if I am qualified for this Dewalt brushless giveaway as I am not the flexvolt. Thank you for all the hard effort and work put into this website.

i am an A/C tech and just purchased a reciprocating saw from Dewalt Mod. DW305
very powerful and just what i need it to cut aluminum rail and wood stud.
my old one died after 5 years.
i have an old set of Bosch drill and impact and they will die soon, according to the noise they make and the amount of tape wrapped around the handle.
Can’t afford to buy both , maybe i should replace one at the time, starting next month, since i just purchased the saw.
will be great to have this set and Dewalt its a great reliable brand.
didn’t take advantage of any deal, the saw was $89 at the orange box,

I have not taken advantage of any of the holiday promo offers. I’m really interested in upgrading my old dewalt 18v tools to the new 20v models. This holiday giveaway would be perfect, I hope to be the lucky winner. Some current projects are building a pallet electronics cabinet. I also want to make a pallet firewood box for next to our fire place, so the drill and impact would be great for that. Merry Christmas to all!

Heh, this is a weird post. I don’t want to win this one, I want to win the Flex volt one, but I wanted to answer anyway (cause I am weird that way).
I purchased the Battery Pack starter deal with DCF620B drywall gun and the DCH133B rotary hammer drill. I have some doorways to widen for a walker/wheel chair and needed a good way to attach the floor plate to the concrete floor and the drywall gun to drywall it all up. I also used the 25 off 100 to get the screw attachment for the drywall gun.
In the 20v line, I now have every tool I am interested in from Dewalt (unless they release an oil based impact). The only tools I really am looking for is the Flexvolt miter saw (for using between locations) and a Saw Stop table saw (my uncle cut his finger off two months ago).

I finally picked up the Bosch JS120bn with the 25 off 100 deal at Amazon and I really like it. There are some things I wish were different with respect to the ergonomics and such but it’s a fantastic little saw. It does chew through the little 2ah packs pretty quick if you really put it to work though.

If I won those compact tools, I would donate them to the lab at Virginia Tech where I work for the students to use. We have a lot of old Dewalt 18v tools and they’re all really too big, heavy and bulky for what we do there. Also most of the battery packs are pretty much shot.

I took advantage of the $25 off $100 at HD. I grabbed the discounted tough system tool box as highlighted on the initial posting. I paired this with two 36″ XL Dewalt clamps. I needed the clamps to fix my Xmas tree stand base, which is a decent sized white fenced set. Grabbing the clamps like this allowed me to get them for under $30 a piece compared to Irwin comparable which came in at $42 including tax.

With the new kit I would upgrade out of my Dewalt 18 volt tools. While my xrp impact is still going strong my drills are dying out and have seen better days.
