That Estwing compressor looks fantastic. It looks like it has a California Air Tools motor, but the rare high pressure one. Can run continuously. Very quiet. High enough pressure and CFM to run a framer. My smaller CAT compressor runs low on pressure if you’re nailing of sheathing really fast since the cut out pressure is 125 psi.

I have never heard of freeman nail guns. I just got a great deal on a decent compressor and kinda want some guns. This looks like a good deal on its face but buying a brand I have mever heard of makes me a bit hesitant.

I bought only one Freeman pneumatic – a 10.5 ga. Fence Staple Gun.
I bought mine on Amazon last year. It got me less than 1/4 of the way through the job I wanted it for then stopped working on the first day. Maybe I got a lemon since reviews on Amazon were 5-star excellent. I returned it and bought a Fasco. which worked flawlessly but costs more than twice the price of the Freeman. This would have been the sort of tool I’d rent – but could not find a rental place nearby that had one.

Freeman is all I ever had in the flooring nailer/stapler and I won’t buy anything else is the ones I have are very universal.

I think that’s the same Husky framer that was $88 through the holidays … that I grabbed for $23 on clearance earlier this month. Didn’t have a need for it, but for $23? Even the “CEO” thought it was too good a deal to pass up.

Maybe Milwaukee has a gen 2 set of nailers in the works for NPS2018? Here’s hoping. Hopefully something more reliable and consistent without the thermal overload issues and better balance/ergonomics.

They do make a stapler. https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Power-Tools/2447-20

While Milwaukee does make their T-50 cordless stapler,
Cheyne was probably thinking about a narrow crown stapler for carpet, upholstery or attaching things like bookcase backs. A cordless 7/16 crown construction stapler and a cordless hardwood flooring stapler both would also be nice – but might be a challenge.

How about the Makita 18V 23g (XTP02Z) brad nailer? Here in CA it is $179. Can HD knock off $29 today and get it to $150? 🙂
I know…not gonna happen! Even CPO is not including it as part of current MKT15 offer to get 15% off their price.

I think the Milwaukee 18g is already priced at $249 – at least at the couple of SoCal HD’s nearby it was.

I actually like the M18 nailers. They are certainly bulky and heavy, but they seem to be very reliable and fast. Every nail sunk. As far as overheating, at the rate you can go without overheating, you could install half a mile of trim in a day. If I could do that, I’d be earning $500k a year and could probably afford a second nailer to cycle between.
