A reader – thank you Josh! – found this Husky all-terrain folding cart at their Home Depot, and said it looked interesting and felt somewhat well-built.
I haven’t seen it in person yet, but I agree about how it looks interesting, with its lipped platform, huge wheels, and multi-functional folding handle.
I can’t use one right now, but it looks built to move. It’s kind of like part garden cart and part utility cart – I like the concept.

The newish Husky cart features 16 gauge steel construction. Home Depot advertises that it “will not break like plastic carts.”
It rides on 4 pneumatic tires, sized 8″ x 2″. 2 of the casters feature a swivel and foot brake.
There are tie-down holes, drain holes in the bottom, and corner bumpers. The black powder coat is said to have a UV-protective finish for protection against “the sun and elements.”
You can fold the handle down for more compact storage. When upright, the handle sits at a height of 40″.
On top of all that, there’s a folding tray on the handle that can hold long handle garden tools. Alternatively, you can use the trays for holding smaller tools and items.

I’ve seen this in person at store. It’s heavy and thick and justifies the price. I’ve even had a coworker stand on it not much if any flex we thought may be nice for transporting material to the jobsite.

Should have had a folding nose plate at the opposite end of the handle to function as a hand truck. The plate would fold flat into the bed floor when not in use.

This looks really handy for moving tools and materials especially from a garage to an outdoor project space. I’m currently working on a hardscape repair that requires dragging lots of stuff in and out of my garage. This is definitely on the pricier side like a gorilla cart.

Pneumatic tires on a utility cart are a double-edged sword. If one (or more) goes flat, the cart is all but unusable. Give me solid or foam filled tires for this application.

This would be fantastic for my precision sports activities when placing fine holes in aluminum cylinders, paper, steel or old printers.

I much prefer pneumatic tires, especially when rolling over uneven ground.

16ga steel should be pretty stout for something like this.
I like the tie down points. I wonder if I could fit a couple Toughsystem coolers on it, side by side, for a bit more offroad-style transportation than my rolling cart. Looks a little too small, but I might have to measure.

Looks good, but I think that for those of us who use the “BUILD-OUT” system, the “multipurpose dolly” is a better option.

It’s a good cart. We bought two already for the house because we used the first one so much.
Home Depot also now has an off road (large pneumatic tire) service cart that I’m contemplating buying a few of.
I usually wrench in the garage but there is a bunch of times where there’s already a few projects going in the garage so the wife’s suv has to get service in the yard. It would make it pretty easy to have a setup to roll out to the vehicle and back in when done.
