Home Depot has another round of tool deals of the day today, featuring a huge selection of Milwaukee Tools – cordless power tools, cordless nailers, hand tools, accessories, and more.
Many of today’s Milwaukee tool deals are promos we’ve seen before, but there are a couple that look new to me.
As usual, I’ll list out some of the deals that stand out to me, and I encourage you to briefly run down the list to see if there’s anything that especially catches your attention.

Today’s promo also includes deals from Dewalt, Ridgid, and Ryobi. There’s also a Makita cordless power tool combo deal, but the pricing isn’t good.
The deals end at 3am ET 7/25, unless supplies sell out sooner.
It seems there are more M12 tool kit and tool plus battery bundles today than usual, and also a broader selection of M18 Fuel nailer deals.

This is still one of my favorite M12 tools – enough power without being over the top – especially when a light touch is needed, and an impact driver is too much:

On the other hand – this is an M12 tool that for me missed the mark. Maybe I got a dud – since others give it good reviews – but mine stalls out with the least little bit of pressure:

On the die grinder, I’m inclined to think you got a dud. It’s hard to imagine they would release something as weak as yours while at the same time claiming that it’s 20% more powerful than a pneumatic one. Granted, they don’t say which pneumatic one they are referring to, but still…..

I love my right angle die grinder. One of my most used tools. Use it for all sorts of grinding, polishing, cutting, etc. I’ve only had it stall once or twice and that was when using a 3in wheel. The 2in wheels are perfect. It actually surprised me with how well it works because I read a lot of people have had problems with stalling. Just keep in mind it’s kind of like a large dremel tool. High RPM low torque. Got to keep those rpm’s up and let the tool speed do the work, not your arm.

My RADG stalls out constantly but I’m also typically running 2″ wheels at fairly low RPM to prevent burning or other issues. I sort of honestly wish Milwaukee had two versions of the tool with different motor winds. One for the full chooch 25k and another lower rpm… maybe 8k max at full throttle? Or… I dunno. Maybe put a gearbox in the lower rpm version.

Good reviews on the right angle die grinder for me also. It’s not that I can’t make it stall, but it doesn’t bother me or anything. In fact for me, the 3” cutoff tool is more frustrating. For both and other tools and as some have said, I’ve learned that sometimes it’s not the right tool for the application, but if I need to remove burrs or clean up an edge or something, I LOVE it. I keep 2 4.5” angle grinders on the truck, one with a grinding wheel typically and one with a cut off, wheel. Since the die grinder is there, I rarely need the grinding wheel and now have been able to leave it installed with polishing flap discs instead.

I’ve never tried the M12 fuel OMT. The non-fuel version is amazingly anemic but fine to keep in a go bag and then I just use a junk corded one for bigger projects. Any thoughts on the fuel?

I haven’t used the non Fuel one, but the Fuel version seems to be plenty powerful for my remodeling. Haven’t had it stall out or anything.

I have the M12 Fuel and it’s been awesome for all of the stuff I’ve throw at it around my house. It’s pretty smooth too, however, haven’t used any other red OMTs so no comparison to the one you have.
The blade release mechanism isn’t as quick as other brands, but it works reasonably well.

It’s excellent. In fact I’d say there’s no reason to go with the M18 versions unless you want much longer run time. I’ve used both M18 and the original non-fuel M12, a Ridgid, and the Ryobi. The M12 Fuel is just hard to beat really, imho. The blade attachment is easy and quick and secure, and the magnets are a great idea. Feels like it’s just as fast cutting as any other when following a line, plunges just fine…have to go look again but I think the stroke length is tad less than the 18v models and electrics. After using the original M12 I opted not to buy one but thought I’d give the new Fuel a chance and I’m glad I did, great tool. Any battery is fine but but for use on construction lumber or long cuts the HO 2.5 or 5.0 seem to let it sustain better.

The M12 Fuel is fantastic.
It’s still a 12V-class tool, but it’s very capable for most of the cutting tasks I’ve thrown at it.

The Fuel M12 impact is one of my favorites. I grab it more than my M18. The Fuel M12 drill is nearly useless except for the smallest tasks. That one goes to my wife.
