Home Depot Tool Deals of the Day (8/25/22) – Milwaukee, Ridgid, Ryobi

Home Depot Special Buy Tool Deals 8-25-2022

Home Depot has another round of tool deals of the day for 8/25/2022.

The sale features Milwaukee M12 and M18 cordless power tool bundles, select Ridgid and Ryobi 18V offerings, and also a slew of Milwaukee hand tools and accessories, and Ryobi accessories.

It’s worth taking a quick look, as there are some fresh promos and bundles I haven’t seen recently.

Some of the featured tool deals are great, but there are also some so-so ones.

For instance, they have an M12 cordless drill and impact driver combo kit (2494-22), plus an extra battery, for $194. Or, you could wait for the holiday shopping season, when the tool kit usually goes on sale for $99. At that time, an extra $99 will get you a pair of extra batteries, at the least.

But, that’s one of few exceptions, with most of the other deals being more compelling bargains. I just wanted to remind you that deals aren’t necessarily bargains.

The deals are valid thru 3am ET 8/26/22, unless supplies sell out sooner.

I grabbed the M18 compact vacuum. I’d been eyeballing it for a while and the price was too good to pass up.

      You’re welcome!

I’m thinking about that M12 Rocket worklight bundle as well! This is a repeat of last year’s early Black Friday deal. https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/milwaukee-m12-rocket-led-worklight-battery-bundle-deal-blackfriday2021/%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E

The light retails for $179 by itself, and the 2x 6Ah XC battery starter kit retails for $249 right now. $199 for all that is hard to pass up if you want the light, batteries, and definitely both.

I keep putting off buying the light because I didn’t want to pay regular price but there has been SO MANY times when a tripod light would have helped out tremendously. It’s not just for outside work, even if you are like painting indoors or installing something indoors your overhead lighting most likely wouldn’t illuminate everything properly.

Now I just need the M12 right angle impact wrench + battery deal to come back

I’m guessing several readers ordered the dual M12 6a battery combo kits. So many that here in California HD is telling me the item is not in stock and provide my email and they’ll tell me when it is. Congrats to the lucky ones.

The deal went out of stock by about 6:30 am Central time here. If you want to get deal alerts, I would suggest you go to slickdeals.com and set up a free account and set some price alerts so you get emails about the deals. The thing is though, that you have to be up EARLY and check your email. These are being bought up by resellers who will buy the bundle and then sell the batteries and light/other bundled separately for a pretty good profit.

Thanks, sorta. I stopped looking at the HD deals of the day a while ago since I shouldnt be buying anything more. I saw this one, especially the 2-6.0 m12 kits and couldnt resist. Got the m12 circ saw and 2-6.0 batts. Also the m12 rover? light which ive been wanting for a while with the small form factor. I may have enough m12 tools now to make a fairly complete kit for most jobs without much of any m18 or ryobi. My main lacking is my m12 fuel hackzall which disappeared(possibly stolen) about a year ago.

I almost jumped on the m12 fuel multitool. I’ve been waiting on a deal for a while but I’m also trying to separate my “wants” from my “needs.” The two batteries make it a great deal but I don’t need those. Heck, I don’t need the multitool. My Ryobi does just fine for the somewhat rare occasions I need one.

I asked the forum a while back about which m12 tools to avoid, and a few people said the multitool. YMMV.

I’m one of those people but there’s a precision issue: the m12 multitool is underpowered and doesn’t have modern convenience features, it looks like the newer and upgraded fuel version is pretty good.

I suffered through the original m12 for years before trying anything else. It was eye opening what even the Ryobi can do (granted it’s 18v).

I hear, and it appears backed up by youtube videos, the m12 Fuel is miles apart. It even beats the m18 brushed version in just about every way.

I’m thinking about the Ryobi jigsaw https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ONE-18V-Cordless-Orbital-Jig-Saw-Tool-Only-with-All-Purpose-Jig-Saw-Blade-Set-10-Piece-P5231-A14AK101/316710408 My current jigsaw is an old 2A Black and Decker from the 80s (it belonged to my grandfather). I was considering the compact Makita mentioned in a previous article on here, but man, $40 really has me reconsidering. Should I bother with the Ryobi, or invest in the Makita?

If you already have Ryobi batteries, that seems like a done deal. I’ve been using that jigsaw to cut LVT most recently. I really appreciate that you can select how much oscillation you want for speed vs clean cuts.

This may be a glitch and my order might be cancelled, but I can add items by clicking “add to cart” from the landing page and check out with them, even though when I click on the item link itself and go to the product page it says out of stock. Kind of odd behavior on their site today.

I (hopefully) picked up the rocket light and 2 x 6ah M12 batteries. The M12 rover flood light they have with a 2.0 and 4.0 battery is currently my favorite Milwaukee light, but I had an actual need for the rocket light.

I snagged the m12 fuel circ saw w/ 2 6.0 batts and charger. I’ve been eyeing the saw for a while for smaller quick projects. I have the newest m18 fuel, but its really heavy and bulky. Bundled with the 2 batts made it a deal i couldn’t refuse!

combine it with a straight edge guide and it is amazing for working with sheet goods. pretty sure that was the first m12 tool I picked up

Unrelated but the Bosch 12v brushless flexiclick kit is back to $149 at Amazon. Great price, great set. I keep one in my shop and one in my home. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084Q4143Y

Thanks Stuart! I picked up a little 5′ ladder. $40! And I can throw it in my car, unlike my other ladders.
