Home Depot Tool Deals are up – Holiday 2023 Winners & Losers

Home Depot Holiday Tool Deals Gift Center 2023

Home Depot has deployed their Holiday 2023 gift center tool deals, both online and in stores.

Most of these tool deals will be featured in Home Depot’s Black Friday sales flyer, and a few are sure to sell out well before then.

Based on past experiences and quick thoughts on pricing, most of these deals will remain at the same price points throughout the holiday shopping season. A few are destined to be discounted in a couple of weeks.

Let’s talk winners and losers.

The biggest winners are us, customers. Yes, it’s cheesy, but this time of year offers the BEST deals on the broadest selection of tools and accessories. There are deals for everyone, from beginner DIYer to seasoned PRO.

That said, here’s a quick summary of what you can expect for Home Depot’s flagship tool brands:

Dewalt – This year’s selection features new Atomic drill and impact driver kits, a couple of new hand tool kits, new and returning power tool accessory deals, and deals on select ToughSystem tool boxes. There’s an emphasis on PowerStack battery deals and tool bundles.

Milwaukee – The hand tool deals are slightly expanded, the power tool accessories are a bit different and focused on Packout-compatible cases. There are more M18 free bonus deals than in previous years, and there was a large FORGE display in the main aisle. Of course there are some Packout deals too.

Makita – The teal branded lost out on floor space again this year, with few displays featuring the same deals as in previous years. They had XGT tools in the main aisle – 2 outdoor tools and a combo kit, at higher pricing than last year, and with 1 less free battery offering.

Ridgid – There are a couple of cordless power tool deals, and an emphasis on Ridgid’s benchtop and portable power tools such as a table saw with rolling stand.

Ryobi – This popular DIYer brand had about the same amount of floor space as last year – a lot – with strong presence of 18V HP+ brushless tools. There was considerably less space given to the Ryobi USB 4V Max line of DIY and hobby tools than last year.

Husky – I didn’t notice any new Husky tools aside from a screwdriver set with comfy-looking handles. Not visible in the above photo, there’s a bay dedicated to Husky tool bags and the new Build-Out tool box system.

I would say that, yet again, Dewalt, Milwaukee, and Ryobi are definitely the WINNERS, while Ridgid and Makita look to be the LOSERS.

Milwaukee was given two rows of deals in main gift center, and Dewalt, Ryobi, and Husky were each given one. Ryobi, Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Husky storage were each given a bay in the back wall, while Makita and Ridgid had to share one. Makita was given a front row display, which they packed with what look to be perpetual deals on the same tools.

Some of the Makita main aisle deals were uncompelling, to say the least. The 18V subcompact oscillating multi-tool, which readers ask me to check on every year, is displayed in-store and shown online as a “special buy” at $249. Last year it was $199.

Home Depot Holiday Tool Deals Gift Center 2023 - Milwaukee M18 Forge

The main aisle had similar brands as the main gift center, with deal bundles and special buys by Milwaukee, Dewalt, Ridgid, and singular displays by brands such as Stanley, Zircon, and Kreg.

Home Depot Holiday Tool Deals Gift Center 2023 - Diablo Power Tool Accessories

There was a large Diablo floor display, with mostly the same deals as in previous years. That’s not a bad thing – this is always a good time to stock up on power tool accessories.

Home Depot Holiday Tool Deals 2023 - Crescent and Gerber

The same Crescent tools made an appearance as last year, but I didn’t see the typical Crescent Wiss aviation snips display.

There’s a lot to go through – I’ll be talking about and analyzing many of these tool deals over the next few weeks.

I feel that, as usual, Home Depot’s holiday tool deals seem skewed towards mid-price point DIY and PRO grade tools and accessories. There are some entry priced deals as well, but not as the main focus.

I picked up the 43 piece Milwaukee shockwave impact sockets for $99 at Home Depot. The set includes SAE and metric, deep sockets and regular size.

Also got the 2 pack Milwaukee knife set for $20. One of the knives has a flip out screwdriver (PH2+SL2).

Good price for both. I’m happy with those deals.

I would say… if you purchase at this point, be sure to save your slips in case they drop the prices further in the next month or three. You can always ask for a refund of the difference.

      Yes, absolutely.

In my experience, Home Depot is far better about maintaining prices throughout the season than Lowe’s. I refuse to buy anything from Lowe’s until the dal before Thanksgiving when the Black Friday pricing goes into effect.

There are some deals I wouldn’t buy right now, such as the M12 HO battery 2-pack at $149. The same bundled was just $99 for a while, and I’d bet it will be again.

I have not seen clearance pricing on holiday gift center items for a couple of years. It seems unsold inventory is sent back or reshelved. There will usually be extra discounts online-only in deals of the day in December.

Interestingly, the M18 Fuel 2pc combo kit with free bare tool is $399 in stores, but online-only it’s now $379.

This is the thing that really erks me about Home Depot. Can you tell me the difference between these two products other than skew number?

        https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-12V-Lithium-Ion-CP-High-Output-2-5-Ah-Battery-2-Pack-48-11-2425-48-11-2425/321649924

To me that looks like the exact same product with different skew numbers but one is $149 and the other is $99? I get that I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer so can you tell me what I’m missing?

The only thing I need this year is batteries (Craftsman & Milwaukee). The only Milwaukee tool I own is the little M12 3/8 in. Drill/Driver I use around the house. I’m not going to pay $149 for batteries unless there way better than the $99 ones.

One is a 2-pack (48-11-2425S), the other is 2 of an individual battery (48-11-2425-48-11-2425) that sells for $79.

          There’s also a double 2-pack of the promo pack for $99×2 = $198.

It’s kind of like buying (12) individual cans of soda at the supermarket vs (1) 12-pack. Or (6) bars of chocolate vs (1) 6-pack.

There are other examples where the same promos are listed in two different ways – both as a bundle and as a “free with purchase” listing.

I get that as well. Or rather, I don’t get it. I see all sorts of items for sale on line, and for some reason the older “ad” is not removed when the new sales go out. This is why, when I am looking for something specific, I start searching with vague terms. This usually brings up everything associated with that item. Many times I’ll look down a page or two and find a better deal. Many times with Milwaukee, I’ll find a combo I may like better, and at a better overall price.

I get that retailers typically want to comp successful promotions year after year, but I really wish they would make more of an effort to rotate some of the tools available with the battery deals every year. I already have everything I need within the promotional assortments, and I’d gladly stock up on more batteries if there was a tool available that I still need to add to my collection.

Which brand, and what tool(s) are you looking for?

At least this year there are 4 Dewalt and 4 Milwaukee “buy this, get 1 or 2 tools for free” options, with half not requiring the purchase of another drill or impact driver.

I’m already invested in both the Dewalt and Milwaukee 18/20V and 12V systems. What I’d love to see to mix things up in future years is:

-More 12V deals. Milwaukee has done the “buy a battery kit, get a free tool” around the holidays and multiple times a year with other distributors. Lowe’s really seems to be missing out on this front.

-Mix in the “nice to have” tools with the core offering for the 2x 18/20v starter kits for both Dewalt and Milwaukee. Things like 3″ cut-off tools, shop/stick vacuums, adhesive guns or even storage options instead of a power tool (2 drawer units for Packout/Tough System would be awesome!). Something that I might be on the fence about since it’s a replacement for a corded or hand tool that is hard to justify on its own for occasional use that I might be inclined to buy on impulse with a sweetener.

-For Makita, I’ve been looking for a reason to invest in XGT, but for all the reasons that have been covered ad nauseum in other posts, I’m on the fence. They’ve still got a great reputation for quality, but the get-in prices are too high and Home Depot doesn’t seem to be willing to give them permanent shelf space for this line. I would try to leverage aggressive holiday pricing and temporary promotional floor space as a way to prove the value of the line and get some tools in the stores that no other brand has in stock. I’m thinking 8-1/4″ circular saws, track saws, etc. I’ve been thinking about investing in a track saw for a while, but it would be a lot harder to turn down if it was staring me in the face at a great price in the store. I feel like they more than any other major brand need to shake things up in order to get more traction, and shifting the focus from core/DIY tools to really professional focused items would be a great way to do that.

That being said, I get that so much of this is also up to the retailer. There’s a lot more risk in trying something new versus comping something year-over-year that already has a demonstrated track record of performance. I do feel like it could be a win for the consumer, though, and it would make these seasonal deals a heck of a lot less predictable.

More 12V deals – Lowe’s sometimes has very limited Bosch 12V deals, and occasionally Dewalt 12V Xtreme deals.

The Dewalt ToughSystem 2-drawer tool box is on sale, not the Milwaukee Packout though.

Makita XGT Pros: fast charging, more battery sizes and higher capacities than Makita 18V, more premium features they won’t bring to the 18V line.

Makita XGT Cons: limited selection (overall, and worse for USA customers), high prices.

I would NOT buy into the Makita XGT line as my one-and-only cordless platform, but I DID buy into the system for specific solutions (some of which I regret).

If you’re on the fence, stay there until you have a compelling reason to reach for your wallet.

Yeah, I get your situation. I don’t need another drill/driver and impact combo to get a deal on a ratchet.

But you know Milwaukee has a contact button on their website and HD has the survey on the receipt.

I suspect that tool companies are more interested in bringing new buyers into their systems than in helping existing customers build out their systems, hence the same old discount offers on basic tool sets and batteries. It’s much like how McDonald’s makes more money by opening new stores than in selling more burgers at existing stores.

        Yes!

But they also do want to keep people in-system. A lot of deals are aimed at new buyers, but there are strategic deals aimed at existing cordless customers who wish to upgrade or expand their kits.

If you’re 10 tools into a cordless system, and want to buy a band saw, you’re going to buy it. Or a grease gun. Or sander. Or rivet tool.

You will see similar discounts every year because they’re popular.

I like to think I do a good job of searching out and finding both types of deals. If you have a specific need, I can add it to my watchlist.

I could get behind this too. To someone with a reasonably wide range of cordless tools, it sometimes feels like the deals are all drills, impact drivers and saws. I’m pretty well set on those.

I need deals on a belt file, caulking gun, flexvolt batteries, grease gun, etc. – basically the stuff that’s a bit more obscure.

I understand though, that manufacturers probably aren’t terribly incentivized to do that. They’d sell to a much narrower audience, and can probably expect the people who need such tools to pony up.

The Dewalt DCW600B brushless compact router is on sale for $145 at Amazon right now. That’s $55 cheaper than HD’s sale price. I had almost $100 of Amazon cash back credit from using their credit card, so pulled the trigger. I mean, I only have 4 other routers!

Not by Amazon or any authorized dealer. It’s sold and shipped by a 3rd party reseller, with many getting their inventory through Home Depot sales like this one.

Home Depot has the router with 2-battery starter kit for $199. Resellers buy it up and sell both parts for $150 each.

It has also been suggested that at least some of the “deals” by marketplace resellers are of tools stolen from home centers.

So it’s not “on sale at Amazon” right now, unless you see it sold and shipped by Amazon, which it’s not.

I have also heard from a few different places that Milwaukee will not honor a tool warranty unless that tool is bought through an authorized dealer. So a person may get a better deal at Amazon or Ebay, but if the tool fails they are SOL on the warranty. I would rather spend the extra $20 to $30 and have the piece of mind with a warranty. That said I have never had a failure with one of my Milwaukee power tools, just triggers on my Makita power tools, which is an easy and cheap fix.

OK, I didn’t think Amazon would allow me to use their “points” on 3rd party resellers, but I guess that’s changed?
Also, when I followed the link to the tool specials, HD only listed the bare tool for $200. I just did a sitewide search after your comment, and the kit shows up. I agree, the router + 6ah battery + 4ah battery + charger + bag for the same $200 is a better deal, but it isn’t showing up on the sale link. Oh well.

          Thank you, I appreciate it!

I tend to be sensitive to user hassles. I’m annoyed by things like paywalls, sign-ins, those “read more” buttons when I’m already on an article page, ads that overlap text, content where you have to sort through 12 paragraphs to find a 6-word answer to the main question, and sites that break browsers’ “back” button functionality.

If I hit the “back” button, I don’t want to be taken to ads and nonsense thumbnails, I want to go back to the point of entrance, whether it’s a search results page or other article page somewhere.

I desire a convenient and hassle-free reading experience. So of course I would seek the same for ToolGuyd readers.

Asking or encouraging readers to go out of their way in the pursuit of affiliate revenue just seems improper to me.

Besides that, ensuring I/ToolGuyd receive credit and commission for an influenced sale is not feasible. Readers might read ToolGuyd on their phone and order in-store, on a different device, at a later time, or via the app.

Reader satisfaction, convenience, and trust is simply a much higher priority. It’s idealistic, but also practical.

I was looking through the Holiday setups in my local Depot last night. Definitely less Knick Knack items than from years past by Husky, HDX and the like. I am pretty well geared up but I do look for accessory type items especially drill bit and driver type sets. I believe Amazon has stolen a lot of these type items from the box stores as last year they had some crazy good deals on Dewalt Bits sets that I picked up. Haven’t been to a Lowe’s store in years for Christmas items or specials. They have really gone downhill
IMO. We used to have an OSH store in the Neighborhood until 4-5 years ago and I really enjoyed shopping there for not only tools but all sorts of cool things and their holiday decorations were always unique! I miss them!

I suspect every store is a little different — they stock the tools that people in the area are buying. Stuart’s comment that one brand is “losing” while another is “winning” is probably more of a reflection of the buying habits of the people in his area than of Home Depot as a whole.

The previously released deal with the (2) 5Ah battery kit for $199 with a free tool is nominally competitive with the other Milwaukee and Dewalt deals, with the caveat that the bundled tool options aren’t spectacular. The brushless jigsaw and the brushless grinder are really the only compelling choices, but hacking that deal and getting (2) 5Ah batteries and charger for $95 is a pretty screaming deal by Makita battery pricing history.

Yes, it’s a relatively dated cell architecture, but they don’t drop dead suddenly for me like M18 tends to do. I’m happy paying a premium for a slightly better handling and smoother tool.

Still disappointed to see the same XGT deals continuing, but Makita corporate might refresh their deals on November 1st, and I’m still holding out hope that they’ll bring back the 2x free battery deal.

I’m not complaining about Makita batteries or tools in general – I like all of mine. Like you said, I’ll take my “dated” Makita cell architecture over my Milwaukee batteries which also had a propensity to die on me immediately after use. I just think their pricing is getting outrageous, especially on XGT which generally doesn’t go on sale like LXT.

As for the whole “Makita battery tech is behind” argument, as best I know they were first to market in the international segment with “tabless” 21700 cells in their XGT 4.0 “F” battery. So they really aren’t very far behind.

These aren’t the same XGT deals; last year’s deals came with 2 free batteries. Then at the beginning of this year there was a deep discount with 1 free battery.

Now, the tools are higher priced with just 1 free battery.

From November thru I believe January, the 2-tool combo was $449 with 2x 4Ah batteries.

The current deal is $469 with 1x 4Ah battery.

They also have an XGT cordless chainsaw kit at $599 (advertised as “was $629”) and a blower at $399 (advertised as “was $439”), with both also eligible for 1x bonus battery.

Oh, correct about the deals from last year.

I meant that the XGT deals are basically the same that have been running since of this year (a bunch of 1 free 4Ah with kit packages). The slight price drop on the blower and chainsaw are the only things I caught.

But hope springs eternal that on 11/1 Makita corporate changes the deals on their end. Notably Home Depot is running a slightly different deal for the LXT kits than Makita corporate (and other resellers like Acme have listed). So I’ll wait a few more days before I give up hope.

Is an interface pad required? included?
How well does that interface hold up? Will it last dozens of papers?
Can you still use traditional velcro sand paper on it?
As I am thinking one may have to remove it if you are switching between paper systems.

In the video they seem to slap it on the same Ryobi sander.

And in the discussion, it is more like 2x or 3x the life time.

Not that the cost is huge but I have three or four sanders, trying to decide if it is worth it; perhaps I should just use it on my small cordless one.

I’ve been waiting to see any sign of the new Rigid Pro System boxes – I thought I read at some point that boxes with drawers were due by end of 2023. I hoped maybe they would pop up around the time all the Black Friday deals started cropping up! Has anyone heard anything?

I haven’t seen them yet. Home Depot’s Ridgid holiday deal focuses on the existing system components. The displays were up – but not the tool boxes – and they clearly featured the small tool box, large tool box, and rolling tool box.

Any thoughts on whether the dewalt 20″ scroll saw will be $329.00 again? So mad I didn’t buy it last year at that price. Might have been $369.00. Either way, I should have pulled the trigger. Would HD refund the difference if it goes lower than the current ‘Special Buy’ price of $599? Thank you!

In my experience, Home Depot usually offers price adjustments within 30 days, and the 90 day return policy usually allows for return-rebuy for deep price changes outside of that.

          I am serious though.

There are too many holiday tool deals for me to spare any time or digital ink for lousy ones. They’re all good “I’d buy that” deals.

It’s a welcome break for me to talk someone down from spending money.

I have not seen any combo sales either, but I was in the same boat last year. Ended up going with the Ego models, SNT2112 (21″ snowblower with 2x 5Ah batteries) and LM2130 (21″ mower, no batteries) since that specific combination was the lowest cost of batteries, charger, and tools. YMMV – double check pricing again. Also, I did not have any Ego tools prior to that; was just switching from gas-powered OPE.

It was $119 last year too – https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/shop-vacuum-deals-black-friday-2022/%3C/a%3E

They have the 16-gallon vac as the main “doorbuster” type special buy this year too at $60, and so I’d say the NXT 14-gallon is unlikely to be discounted further.

HD looks to have nearly 4,000 in stock for delivery, and so you can probably wait to see or buy soon with relatively high confidence in my opinion.

One thing I’ve notice over the last 2 years, since I really started searching for deals…
Spend time to walk store, check every tag, and…. look through every listing on the HD app or website, before you buy anything. They do and have made mistakes, or have several people listing things at different prices. Not only near holidays, but year round. I missed out on the biggest Rigid table saw with rolling/collapsible stand… 2 for 1. Who needs 2 saws, but can always sell one. Or split cost with a friend. Few months ago, had the $599 saw/rolling stand, 2 for 1. I had just spent a lot on other tools, so couldn’t/didn’t jump on that, and regret it. I’m near Chicago, a store in Milwaukee even had a listing on FB marketplace, selling new from store for $300 each, at same time. Not worth 2 hr drive for me.
Just take the time to scroll thru 300 listing, amd you may get lucky.
Week ago, had Rigid 18v max bat.. 4amp & 6amp, for $179, with a free tool. 18 choices for free tool.
One was 7 1/4 saw, router, jig saw……some tools that list for $179 alone, with the 2 batts….

I’ve wasted hours, scrolling thru sometimes, but if you wantbsomething, and can wait for a deal, they do pop up.
Also, instore, someone mis labeled Prter Cable pancake comp. , with 3 guns. Finish/brad/stapler…
Got that for $99.., along with the 2 guys behind me in line. We were laughing, made the manager sprint to that end cap, and remove the sign. Had to give it to us tho…..

Just my preference, but I’m stuck on Rigid.
Although I haven’t tried the Lifetime warranty on them yet, but heard it’s a real pain….
Rigid 18v is the only brand I haven’t had major problems with, or burnt out a tool from yet.
Five plus years, and only had the LED lights go bad, on the front of 1/4 impact/driver. They replaced that gun, in store, no questions.

I don’t baby my tools, and I try to take care of them. There have been times where I had to push them to extremes, and they haven’t failed me.
Mounting a short, wrought iron fence on brick wall…. 100+ holes thru 1/8 steel, then concrete for anchors…. either push thru the rain, finish the job at 8pm, or drive 100 miles,2 hours, back to the job following day…. I pushed that Rigid 18v hammer drill, Gen 3, until it was so hot, I had to wear gloves… kept swapping out 4amp batteries, almost non stop, for 2,3 hours…. it finished the job, the drill is still in my van today… even has same brushes and bearings in it.
Thats not normal for any brand, or situation, but ot sold me on Rigid tools.
Everyone has their reasons, and brand favorites.
And to each his own. That’s just my experience.

Take the time to search every listing on the website, you never know what specials or mistakes you’ll find.

Ridgid just started a new service arrangement where they cover the shipping for you to ship your tool to their service center. Sounds great. I haven’t needed the LSA for a long time, (I’m nice to my tools) which actually makes me even more likely to stick with Ridgid. The few M12s I’ve bought never feel quite right.

I was in a Home Depot in Canada yesterday and wandered through the holiday center to see if anything excited me. I didn’t buy anything, so I suppose the answer is “not really”, but it’s early yet and I expect some of the prices may drop as the season progresses.

There were “buy a battery starter kit get a free tool” deals for Dewalt, Milwaukee, Makita and Ridgid. Dewalt’s $200 5ah starter kit had the Atomic 3-speed brushless impact driver as one of the free tool options – that seemed pretty good to me (that’s the super low profile one).

Given the “value” of the kit and impact, my napkin-based math says you could return the starter kit and keep that impact for about $85 – which seems awesome for a relatively new tool with good specs.

The M12 2.0ah batteries were a whopping $84! I picked up a couple at $29 last year so I imagine that price must be temporary.

The Milwaukee aluminum rafter square 2-pack (7″ and 4.5″) was $20 – also a great deal.

I checked for the OMT blades recommended in an earlier post, but there was just an 8-pack for $129… that’s not a deal right? Seems crazy expensive to me. Maybe it will drop later too.

Lots of similar stuff from years past otherwise. Plenty of Milwaukee, including hoodies, hats, gloves, etc.

I’ll check back in a few weeks to see if I can be tempted. Notably I didn’t see any Freud sanding disks, drill bits and other consumables – I often pick those up. Not much “special buy” Husky gear either, though I don’t miss that as much.

Kinda aggravated at Home Depot and their lots for sale displays. The main aisle at the nearest HD, is now ONLY a cart wide on one side and person wide on the other. Its like “just put the displays up!” already feel to it. There was so much Red and Green that you’d think it was Christmas… it wasn’t …more like…Milwaukee and Ryobi!

Oh and Aisle C# are the Checkout Aisles when you look up a product online and its shows in Aisle C1, section 009 … that is Self Checkout Aisle 1 and shelf/peg location 009. Where they put the battery section. But then there are popup displays with tons of 40+ packs of AA/AAA etc Husky batteries or Duracell or Energizer throughout the main aisle.

I’m not claustrophobic … but shopping there yesterday, OH I am now.

No. I did some digging, prompted by the pricing I’m seeing in 3rd party listings for the 5Ah starter kit and individual batteries.

I see what you’re seeing, that Home Depot has the 2-pack for $296.10.

Amazon (direct) has the 2-pack for $226.

Acme has the PowerStack 5Ah 2-pack plus a FREE bonus tool for $299, and there are some good options in the selection.

Ohio Power Tool has the same deal.

Update: Lowe’s has the free bonus offer too.

There are better deals right now. Acme Tools has the 2-pack for $299, which includes a free tool, and there is also a flash sale today for an extra 10% off which stacks on top of that. The batteries are available at Amazon for $215 from a 3rd party seller or $225.78 from Amazon themselves.
There were also better deals over a week ago, Acme had a different flash sale back then which had better than a 10% discount, which makes me think there may be better deals yet to come.
If normal 5.0 batteries are also of use to you Acme has another few deals which look really good, for $349 you get 2x 5.0 powerstacks, 2x 5.0ah standard batteries, charger, and either the drywall screw gun or an impact driver. There are also similar deals with 2x 5.0 powerstack, 1x 5.0 standard batt, charger and either the 4-1/2in circular saw or the random-orbit sander for the same $349. Today’s 10% off flash sale applies to those deals as well.

I noticed with all of this “Black Friday Month” sales event displays getting set up and the internet reports on them, as well as the fact that they didn’t start until today, that there are all sorts of deals online. The Milwaukee 3/8 in. impact set was $249, marked down to $99. But today HD ProXtra website has it for $89.

I also need a toolchest/box and have been seeing the Husky boxes getting marked down. But the boxes in the size I’d prefer haven’t been marked down yet. So, I was thinking about buying 2 of the smaller boxes and putting SAE in one and Metric in the other.

As a DYI’er with a limited budget, I started my Ryobi 18V tool collection about 12-15 years ago, and still have the original drill and impact driver.
They both look much worse for wear, but are for me indestructible. Two out of four of the original batteries I got are still working, and these are not garage queens, but have been used hard and put away wet.
I see many Ryobi tool and battery deals, but I have all the tools I need, and could use a few extra batteries, but there really isn’t any good deals on batteries, especially the higher capacity ones.

I have also found, the the battery is the limiting factor when using the drill, and will stop the drill when under a heavy load. Haven’t experienced that with the driver

The M18 Fuel compact Hackzall is an option in the “buy this get 1 or 2 free tools” promos, starting at $199.

There’s also an M18 Fuel Sawzall + Forge battery and charger deal that I feel is a good value – if you’re interested in the Forge battery.

There tend to be different deal of the day bundles with M18 Fuel Sawzall recip saws as well, sometimes with batteries, other times bundled with other tools.

What else are might you be looking for?

There might be dollar-off discounts in promos to come, maybe for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Home Depot usually has holiday promos with extra savings around Black Friday or later. Acme usually has discount promos.

The M18 Fuel Sawzall tool-only is $199, and you should be able to trim away some of that cost with umbrella coupon offers.

But the bundles usually offer better savings.

At $199 I’d get the Hackzall, which is good for light demo but not very heavy work.

For prolonged use, the Forge battery might be a good choice.

If in your shoes, I would likely get the Forge + Sawzall promo ($299) and keep it all in-box (except maybe testing it if I could put the box back to like-new condition), and keep it in a corner until early December. If a better price comes along, there’s the opportunity to request a price match or return.

In Home Depot deals of the day, the Sawzall is often paired with a circular saw or sometimes a rotary hammer.

Today, they have the Sawzall with a circular saw and 2x 6Ah batteries for $369.

There’s also this deal for the Sawzall plus 3x 6Ah batteries for $309. That’s actually pretty good.

It really depends on what you want. The Forge kit deal *should* be around for the holiday season, or at least as long as supplies last. That can be your fallback or benchmark.

I think the Sawzall plus 3x HO 6Ah battery deal might be the best fit. If you already have M18 chargers, that gives you extended runtime for long demo sessions.

18Ah total charge capacity for just $10 more than the single 6Ah Forge battery seems more than fair.

The Sawzall with 3 batteries is $389.00 local price.
But, I get what you’re saying.
I already have the circ saw, or I would have been all over that Sawzall/ circ saw deal.
Need to check my receipt for the circ saw when I get back home because I may be within the 3 month window at HD.

        Thanks Stuart.
