Today only, Home Depot is running an expansive tool deals of the day promo, where you can save on select Dewalt, Ryobi, and Ridgid cordless power tools, select Bosch corded tools (such as a pair of angle grinders), some Makita products, and more.
Some of the deals are quite good, and it looks like there’s something for everyone included in this promo.

It’s worth a quick glance, as some of the tools are at very good bargain prices. For example, a Bosch worm drive saw is on sale for $159, compared to $189 at Amazon and up to $219 elsewhere.
This also looks to be a good deal for Dewalt and Ryobi cordless power tool combo kit shoppers.

Deals end at 3am ET 8/28/2020 unless supplies sell out sooner (and some tools have indeed already sold out by this morning).

That 8 piece Ryobi set looks pretty good for a basic homeowner tool kit.
Mosh
They got the ryobi remote control truck on sale…

Just yesterday I passed on the new DeWalt 20v and 60v blowers, in lieu of a new shop vac. This deal puts the 60v blower smack in my previous budget. Live and learn lol

You’re better off buying the kit, comes with the DCB609 9Ah/3Ah battery and a charger for $269. That’s only $70 more than reg price or $90 more than this sale price. Battery alone usually retails for around $179ea or $249 2pk.
Plus you can sell that charger for like $20 if you don’t need it.

I’ve got a surplus of fv batteries(8 12ah-6ah) and chargers (giving them away with toughsystem and 4 individual rapid charger’s in my box) unfortunately (fortunately?) Was just playing around with an anniversary gift freebie budget. Almost went with the new 20v, but know I want the 60. Old corded/cordless 18/20v blew up awhile ago though, and I’ve been annoyed not having it several times since, so $99 for the new corded 4 gallon took the buy, under budget and I’m thinking I might be able to engineer a way to get it in some kind of toughsystem form.

I feel you. I too have a surplus of pretty much every battery size on multiple platforms. I do like to buy the kit anyways, occasionally when my budget allows, and sell the battery along with the charger at a nice discount to people who are just starting off their career/tool collection and can’t afford extra batteries. That’s how I got my start, so just trying to pay it forward.
I’ll also trade them for beer.

Was really hoping for a Labor Day deal on a DCD996 ( I just gifted my DCD796 to my nephew) or possibly a DCD998, though that is probably too new for any serious discounts.

They sorta do, it is part of their Labor Day Buy More Save More deal right now.

You have to buy some other stuff along with it to really get a good discount though.
