Home Depot has another round of tool deals of the day for 4/11/24.
As has been the pattern, the promo focuses on tools from Milwaukee, Dewalt, Ridgid, and Ryobi, with some other brands mixed in.
The offers end at 3am ET 4/12/24, unless supplies sell out sooner.

Here are some of the deals that I found to be noteworthy:
Dewalt 13″ Planer with Extra Blades, Infeed/Outfeed Tables, Stand – $649
Ridgid 2-Pack of Table Saws – $699 (it’s still unusual)
Milwaukee M18 Fuel Deep Cutting Band Saw with Hackzall – $319
Milwaukee M18 12Ah Battery 2-Pack – $289
Milwaukee M18 6Ah Battery 4-Pack – $339

Stiletto TiBone Hammer + Nail Puller Bundle – $319
Milwaukee M18 Fuel 14″ Cordless Chain Saw w/ 8Ah Battery – $379
Ridgid 18V Cordless Hedge Trimmer with Battery & Charger – $179
The selection is not completely different from prior deals of the day, but there are some new ones. Let us know if you see any other hot deals! As usual, I feel it’s worth a quick look.

I would love that Stiletto set but $319 is a *lot* for a hammer and puller. I recently framed a foundation for a new shed by hand and even though it was only 4 foot by 6 foot my 22oz Milwaukee Framing Hammer shredded my shoulder. 15oz would probably be a lot easier to swing…

If I was going to get another high-dollar hammer, I’d buy a Martinez. He’s the one that built stilettos name and reputation, and has started another company that is arguably a better product.
Stuart
Stiletto has upped their game again in recent years. Hultafors (Johnson Level et al) acquired Martinez Tools in late-2022.
Martinez makes good tools, but they’re starting to become “status symbol” products, with polished hammers and the like, similar to what happened to Woodpeckers. Because of that, you need to weigh who’s providing the feedback and what exactly they’re saying.
I’d say look at both.
Leo B.
Especially with the new TB3, it’s definitely worth looking at both. Hammers are too personal to dismiss one over another. However, I think the Martinez is a great choice over the Stiletto. The head changes more easily, the claws are replaceable, the grip has a hard bottom to slide in hammer sheaths more easily, and the weight is focused more in the head for a more efficient swing. I looked hard at both, and went with Martinez. If you get a chance, try to swing and use both.
Leo B.
Sorry, not TB3, but the new TiBone.

Wow that 2 M18 12Ah batteries is quite a deal!

I’m wondering if the Pouch battery sales are taking the place of these boat anchors?
Stuart
The Forge 12Ah won’t have pouch batteries. Dewalt’s highest capacity pouch cell battery is 5Ah.

$300 for a hammer?
Skylar
Yeah I was a skeptic too at one point! But if you’re using one on a daily basis then it’s worth it.
I bought a Martinez M1 almost a year ago and haven’t had a single regret. It swings easier, hits harder, doesn’t transfer any vibration, and has replaceable components. Really makes my old Milwaukee framer feel like a hog. A nice hammer is cheaper than a new elbow down the road!
That said, any homeowner, diyer, or hobbyist will do just fine with many of the non-titanium hammers on the market as I did before I started building full time.
BigTimeTommy
Stiletto gets to overcharge for the same reason snap on does. The perception that you’re a hack at your trade if you don’t invest in the “best” Great hammers, no hammer is “worth” $300
Stuart
Have you ever used one?
BigTimeTommy
Yes Stuart, I have.
Out of curiosity, what is a tool you would consider overpriced/a poor value? I don’t know how to say this without it sounding like a personal attack (it really isn’t) but you seem like someone who has never worked in a trade, has extra money and likes to buy tools.
Stuart
Did you buy a Martinez or Stiletto and regret it? Why? Or did you pick up a coworker’s and then hand it back?
Value is subjective and relative. Whether a tool is overpriced or a poor value depends on many different factors.
Ignoring all of the societal reasons why someone might recommend for or against titanium hammers, they DO have functional benefits.
As for tools I feel are overpriced and a poor value, the Nepros Phillips #2 screwdriver with wooden handle, https://neprostools.com/products/a000260 , is at the top of my list.

If your elbow and shoulder are worth any value, swinging less weight with more kinetic energy is worth it.
A foreman was kind enough to inform me of this in the early 90’s on a framing crew, he also taught me to stay behind the swing whenever possible.
Swinging heavy weights wildly are not good for your tissue.
Back then we used fiberglass handles as much as possible.
Good deal on 12’s. And u paid $300 for Bandsaw 5 yrs ago with a 5 for $300 on the same daily deal.
Joe
I was able to get them to price match on the mitre saw stand that I bought a few weeks ago when it was on sale so I got another thirty bucks off just by calling and asking today. They say this stuff is a one day sale for today
Stuart
Nice!
They usually can’t help you in-store, as these deals are online-only, but I’ve also been able to get Home Depot to price-match recent online orders to deal of the day pricing.
Nathan
I would agree that the ti hammers are really for a pro daily use.
But
For 300 dollars I’d buy a framing nailer first that would then do most of your needs and then use a long handle steel job for the other 10%
Dave
I thought maybe the M18 12.0 deal wasn’t interesting because there was already newer Forge technology out. Then I looked up the price of the 12.0 Forge and decided that I was never going to pay that for a battery in my lifetime. The 12.0 HO looks like a great deal for my air compressor.
Stuart
The Forge 12Ah hasn’t been announced yet. Were you looking at the 6Ah or MX Fuel 12Ah?
