Earlier today I posted about I Heart Engineering’s low fire sale price on an Engineer L-wrench driver kit. That product already sold out, and I’m assuming ToolGuyd readers were responsible for that.
Back when I ordered some Engineer tools in late 2012, I also ordered these PH-55 Tetsuwan scissors for $29.45 plus shipping. They’re now priced at $11.64 plus $5.39 shipping via I Heart Engineering’s Amazon store, or $10.01 plus $14.24 shipping via their direct store.

So that’s $17 (via Amazon) for Japanese-made compact scissors that feature a partially micro-serrated blade, blunted points, U-groove wire cutters, and comfortable handles. The outer edge of one of these blades is shaped as a safe box opener.
These scissors are fantastic, so I of course ordered another one. The finger loops are somewhat small, but I don’t mind it, especially since this allows for alternative grip positioning. Their size, as well as the included blade guard, make these Engineer scissors excellent for an EDC or portable tool kit.

It looks like a, made-in-China kitchen knife.The blades probably aren’t as thick as they are made to look. I have a more snazzier looking multifunction kitchen knife at about 1/8th the price and it is serving me well.

vie been looking at a pair of the vampire tools shears that look almost identical. their pictures had red handles but look like the exact same pair. any idea if this is a knock off of them or did vampire knock of these?

It’s my understanding that Vampire Tools is an Engineer Inc subsidiary, or they have some sort of direct OEM relationship.
Some of their tools are exactly the same, but different colors and marketing.
