Klein Tradesman Tumbler

This isn’t a new Klein coffee cup or travel mug, it’s a Tradesman’s Tumbler.

The new Klein Tradesman Tumbler, model 55580, is a double wall vacuum mug, featuring a slip-resistant sleeve and several other

Klein Tradesman Tumbler with Worker Drinking

Klein has come out with a lot of new tools and personal safety and jobsite comfort products lately, and an insulated mug fits in quite well.

Klein Tradesman Tumbler Features

The new Klein Tradesman Tumbler can keep hot drinks warm for up to 4 hours, and cold drinks cool for up to 12 hours. It can hold 20 oz of liquid and has BPA-free construction (stainless steel).

A magnetic lanyard is looped into the lid, and helps to secure the tumbler from tipping or being knocked over.

The lid has a flip-top cover to help prevent spill resistance. It should also help keep your drink safe from jobsite dust or other contaminants.

It also has a threaded design that’s easy to open even if the user is wearing gloves.

There’s even a slip-resistant bottom pad, to help provide stability on a range of surfaces.

Seems like a very feature-rich beverage container designed for jobsites.

Is this something you would use?

And the fact that stainless steel is BPA-Free – who knew?

Joking aside – I find the lack of obtrusive logos on the tumbler to be a plus.

Well, they say BPA-free, and in another place they say stainless steel, so I just put it together. There are plastic components, such as the lid, where saying BPA-free construction is better said than not.

Perhaps a bit less funny (to me anyway) compared to a list of ingredients and RDA percentages on a bottle of water.

I think it looks cool – and that’s basically the reason to buy something like this. I’m interested enough to consider it, but I don’t know yet whether my excitement for Klien is enough to push the purchase button.

    No, I wouldn’t buy that.
First off, I wouldn’t spend that much on a work mug; expensive ones tend to “get lost” more often. Besides, I’m not spending 4hrs to drink a cup of coffee.
Lastly, all my travel mugs need to fit in my B&D Brew & Go single serve coffee maker. I have one at home and at work. Works perfect with fresh ground coffee and you can use standard #1 paper filters so no clean up.

Sad but it might be hard to find many that are not made there. The well advertised Yeti tumblers are made in China – but I think Dewalt has theirs made in the USA

The guy in the photo looks like he has hand to mouth co-ordination problems.
It looks like he is going to try to drink through his nose.

LOL – I’d perhaps consider it but like said expensive things like that tend to disapear around the shop.

Dishywashy safe is a big thing but I bet the magnet isn’t. Looks coated in silicone though so might be OK.

Curious just what are you going to tether this too with the magnet? Is is strong enough to hang from a metal belt clip? Do you tag this to the side of your snap on tool trolley? I’d like to see a use case for that.

otherwise I’m sure it’s well made.
