Do you want the above-shown pliers for $8.03? They’re Knipex electronics pliers, model 37 13 125, which are flat wide-jawed pliers, possibly non-serrated from the looks of it.
BUY NOW (Wait too long and the price will likely jump back up.)

Update 1: The low price has held steady for a few hours now. You might not have to rush after all.
The next lowest price is $32 via KC Tool. So, essentially, these pliers are 75% off.
How/Why?
Over in another post’s comment thread, I mentioned an “Amazon Deal Finder” search tool that I coded a couple of years ago. I tweaked it a few times since then, but still need to restyle those humongous “go” buttons.
Basically, what my search tool does is use Amazon’s filtering methods to try to find deeply discounted tools. Amazon will sometimes substantially reduce the cost of tools, perhaps those in customers’ carts and wishlists – we don’t know, in order to move them FAST.
The result? Fantastic discounts.

These substantial price reductions are often temporary, hence the “BUY THIS NOW” intimation at the very beginning of this post.
These random deals are often temporary and short-lived. Maybe there’s a timer, which bumps the price back to normal levels a certain time after an order is placed, or maybe there’s a quantity limit.
The Knipex pliers are currently temporarily out of stock. That could mean they’ll ship out in a week, a month, or 6 months, depending on any number of factors. There’s no way to tell.
My advice is that, if you want this Knipex pliers at $8.03, buy it now, and think about it more later. You might be able to cancel it, or refuse delivery (if it ships quickly) if you change your mind. But what you won’t be able to do is get it for $8 and change after the price jumps back up to $30+.
I found this deal in about 15 seconds after firing up my Amazon search tool. If I had more time, I’d look for some other random price drops. If you find any, please share them here!
P.S. This is partly why I LOVE my Amazon Prime membership (Free 30-day trial info). If you’re a Prime subscriber, you can order just this and have it shipped for free. If not, you’ve got to pad your order above $35 with qualifying items to get free shipping.
Update 2: It looks like the deal is over. As of the morning on 12/8/15, the price jumped up to $33.49.

Smoking deal on some torx wrenches:

Found with your deal finder!

This looks to be a great buy! The Wiha bit holder in the below comment looks to be regularly priced.
Tom
Looks like a solid buy, I just can’t imagine what I would ever need them for. I already have so much torx stuff that rarely gets used.
fred
I’ve never had good luck with using ball-end torx drivers for breaking fasteners free. They may be OK for running loosened screws in or out.

Wiha bit holder, another great buy:
http://www.amazon.com/Wiha-28103-Magnetic-Holder-Stubby/dp/B004A910HO/
fred
It is $11.95 with free shipping – if you look at the other sellers list on Amazon.
There is also this Wera:

Benjamen
Out of stock already, so the price is back up to $35.92
BUT…
if you click on the other sellers, you can still get them on back order through Amazon at $8.03.
Added to my cart and now we wait.
Stuart
It was “temporarily out of stock” when the post went up. But ordering now saves one’s place in line (and locks in the current price), for when they’re resupplied.
I waited an hour after the post went up, then ordered 2 for myself. I used to have 2 flat and wide smooth-jawed Proto pliers that I miss terribly, hopefully these are just as good.
Thanks for the update, I fixed the links to focus on Amazon as the seller. Amazon’s algorithm sometimes has a mind of its own. I don’t know why it shifted focus to the other seller and their $35 price.
fred
A bit off-topic – but while we’re talking about deals – ToolsPlus emailed me about a deal on the Makita Coffee Maker – $45 with free shipping – it may also be eligible for the Makita $25 off $100 deal

I back ordered these on Nov 23, last time they dropped to this price. Still haven’t shipped, although I think some guys on garage journal have theirs in hand already. Willing to wait at this price, but just don’t expect them soon if you need them for an upcoming project.

I never liked mini pliers of any sort at any price. My hands aren’t mini and working with pliers like this with tiny handles is extremely awkward. It’s like stubby screwdrivers, people call them stubby screwdrivers when what they really are is stubby handled stubby screwdrivers, and a PITA to use.
Hang Fire
Electronics are miniature, so the pliers are as well. These are 5.5″ long, so they’re not really that tiny.
SteveW
These are five inches long and the head is about 1 1/2 inches, that leaves about 3 1/2 for the handle, so yeah, they’re tiny. It wouldn’t be bad if there were a self opening spring, but there isn’t, so it’s bad.

I ordered two of these on the 22nd and finally received one of mine Friday(Dec 5th), the other should be here Saturday(Dec 6th). It’s been this price since the 22nd of November.
Hilton
Ok so I bought one of these. Not sure I needed it but for $8 how wrong can you go?
According to Amazon, the expected delivery is anytime from: Monday, December 14, 2015 – Thursday, December 17, 2015 by 8pm.
This ‘may’ just make my shipment to South Africa or else it will have to wait at the couriers until next year.
Stuart
My order says:
“Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We’ll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date.”
Hang Fire
I got the same message as Stuart… if they delivery, it’ll be worth the wait.
Hilton
Sadly my delivery status changed to that of Stuart and Hang Fire.
On the plus side, I managed to get a pair of these Knipex Bolt Cutters delivered to my office in South Africa. Landed price including international shipping and import duties was the equivalent of $87.

It’s my Christmas present from my wife. Odd I know but she was born like that 🙂
Hilton
Mine still haven’t shipped 🙁

Wow. I wish I would have been watching this site when that came up. I am a big Knipex fan and have been in need of some precision sized pleirs for awhile. Missed it by that much…
