Acme Tools’ Labor Day 2020 coupon promo is here!
Now thru 9/6/2020, save 10% on all kinds of tools. Cordless power tools? Yes. Hand tools? Of course. Storage, woodworking tools, accessories, equipment? Yes!

Minimum order amount is $249.
Here’s the (other) bad news: Max savings is $100. What this means is that if you were holding off on buying a high-ticket item, say a $1500 woodworking machine, this deal will save you money, but you might save more if you want for a better promo.
Coupon Code: WEEKEND10
Free ground shipping on $199+.

Fine Print
There are some brand exclusions, listed below, and also individual SKU exclusions, with most being specific price-locked or promo-priced models from Dewalt, Makita, and Milwaukee. A lot of Milwaukee power tool accessories are also excluded from the deal, judging from the fine-print list.

With exclusions, it’s hit or miss. Milwaukee’s new M18 Fuel cordless framing nailer is eligible for the discount, but their M18 Fuel cordless air compressor and Hatchet chain saw are not. That’s just the way it is.
It looks like Milwaukee Packout tool storage products are eligible for this discount, but it doesn’t stack with the concurrent 10% off $300+ Packout coupon promo.
Excluded brands:
Abra Equipment, Air-tow Trailers, Barreto Mfg, Billy Goat, Bomag, Bosch, Campo Equipment, Clemco, Crown Construction Equipment, Diamond C, Digga North America, E-Z Go, Festool, Fuego, Fuji, Furukawa Rock Drill USA, Generac, Generac Mobile, Genie, Honda, Husqvarna Outdoor Power Equipment, Interlake, IQ Power Tools, JLG, Knaack, Kubota, Laguna Tools, LEEAGRA, Magnum, Mec, Mobile Warming, Niftylift, Office to Go, Powerboss, Sawstop, Skyjack, Sullair, Supermax Tools, Stihl, Toro, Toro Dingo, Traeger, Weather Guard, Weber.

Toolup also has 10% off any full price item, doesn’t appear to be a minimum, but still a $100 max discount. Code is LaborDay.

Stuart,
Curious if you have any insight on the lack of coupon codes and typical deals from “the usual suspects” these last few months? At first I thought everybody was just a little gun shy and not wanting any bad PR from pushing coupon codes and promos during a pandemic (similar to your thoughts on the GyroAir marketing email from back in March), but I would think that they would’ve ramped things back up by now. For instance, Zoro used to have a coupon code almost every week for at least certain categories, but in the last 6 months I can barely remember 6 coupon codes.
fred
I’ve noticed the same thing. 25% off Zoro deals – are now reduced to 20%. Milwaukee deals that were usually 15% – now seem to be down at 10% off – or just $20 off $200. Maybe COVID has impacted the bottom-line of some of these businesses in different ways. Perhaps shipping costs are up or their costs from the manufacturers (a lot form China) have increased – thereby reducing profit margins. The too, maybe COVID has increased their costs in their warehouse and fulfillment operations on a per-transaction basis so that the markup versus sales volume calculus has changed.
Gordon
I think the opposite. Profits are through the roof as demand is increasing. Online shopping is outpacing in store shopping, especially earlier this year. I’d say there is little incentive to offer discounts of any sort. Product is moving, fast.
Just for example, I haven’t seen a single HF free coupon since March. You can do a Google image search for an item and see older coupons. Most coupons available today are not as good of a deal as they used to be. Plus, you can see the regular price of a few items has increased.
Sam
HF does have a current free item. LED FLASH LIGHT ITEM NO. 63878
CUPONE CODE NO.: 25014905
Sam
GOOD UNTIL 12/31/2020

Gordon might be correct. If tools sales are brisk – particularly if retailers are struggling to keep up with demand – there is less need for trade stimulating sales and coupons
Sam
In the last week, I talked to HF employ about the HF coupon and how it disappointment in recent months. She said that because of Covid19, they could not send more of the new coupons. They already short on many items, and many of the HF center distributions are shutdown. She adds, sending new coupons means creating more demands that the current supply can not handle.
I would say the same thing applies to all retailers!
Also, I think Home Depot is taking advantage of Covid19 by placing more purchase orders to power tools companies and buying more than other retailers, which puts most of the online retailers high and dry!
Stuart
I was surprised, but tool dealers have seen surges in demand and sales figures.
Why offer a coupon code if sales are through the roof? They’re likely saving better coupon-type promos for when sales start to dip, or in response to competition.

Stuart,
Longhorn Tactical has 20% Off Storewide coupon. I know you like flashlights!

10% off – not a big deal – but will cover tax. So I tried the Acme deal on a M12 Hatchet mini chainsaw kit – 2527-21 – but it didn’t work – I guess one of their exclusions.
So I went looking and at ToolUp and their 10% off coupon code “LaborDay” did apply. They got my business today.
I’ve gotten some other emails on Labor Day “deals”
ToolBarn – $20 off $200 (it may stack) on Milwaukee – using code MIL20
HNS Tools – 5% off using code LABORDAY
Big Richard
Sounds like ToolUp may get my business today, too.
Clay
Was looking at the Dewalt DCD998 kit. Have not seen any Labor Day deals better than this 10% from Acme.
IJK
Surprising. This code actually works on EGO tools. They’re usually excluded. Even applied to the preorder for their newly announced snowblowers.
Promit
Oh wow. I went ahead and put in a pre-order for the new two stage. Hard to say if I’ll really need it, as the mid-atlantic can get a foot of snow or an inch. But with sales tax exemption, I’m not likely to see a better price any time soon and worst case maybe I’ll offload it again.
