There are some Bosch Pro tool deals that I felt compelled to remind you about. I mentioned some of these deals in more varied deal posts when they came up, but they’re good enough to tell you about again, in case you missed them.
Each of the deals screams “I would definitely buy that!”, if I had the need.

Bosch CSW41 worm drive circular saw: $140, reg. $209 – EXPIRED
Bosch deep-cutting band saw with angle grinder bundle: $255, reg. $327
Bosch GTL3 tile laser: $115, was $145
Bosch 1275A 4-1/2″ angle grinder: $43.35, was $51

It’s rare to see deals on corded power tools these days, but I’m not complaining.

Is that CSW41 worm drive any better than the old 1677MD? I bought the 1677MD years ago because it was supposed to be the most incredible saw ever, it wasn’t. I rarely even use the thing, it’s mainly a stair stringer and PT lumber saw now, and I really don’t even like to use it for stringers because the thing wanders so bad, not to mention the weight of it. That saw really turned me off of Bosch products.

When we had been replacing some old Skil 77’s we shied away from the Bosch (probably was a 1677MD) because the one I picked up in a showroom seemed to have a base that was not aligned correctly to the blade. I thought that my eye might have been off when looking at the gap – but my tape measure showed (I think) an1/8 inch difference rear versus the front of the blade to the baseplate edge. Two of us were doing the shopping – and we both scratched our heads over it.
I’ve commented before on what I believe has become some hit or miss QA/QC in the modern tool manufacturing business – and Bosch doesn’t seem to be immune.

I know AVE was pretty disappointed after his tear-down of the SKIL 77 magnesium and Amazon reviewers identified this BOSCH saw as the same model with different cosmetics.
Ben
Bosch and Skilsaw are all owned by the same company, it only makes sense that they are the same saw.
Stuart
Not anymore, but the changeover was recent enough that there won’t be any product changes yet.

Stuart, I can’t reply to you. I didn’t know it had closed (or fallen apart or anything). Looks like it closed last week – I stand corrected!

This 7″ angle grinder for $161 looks like a good deal too:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0020ML6B8?ref_=plp_pc_dp_ADLYP19WFLUTW_B0020ML6B8&me=ATVPDKIKX0DER
The price is marked $191, but it’s part of a promotion where you get $30 off $149.

At $191 – I think I like the Makita better:

But at $161 this seems a bargain.

The 18V Bosch Reciprocating Saw is also on sale on amazon (Bosch GSA18V-083B 18 V Compact Reciprocating Saw Bare Tool) for about $84. It’s normally $120.

When I click on the circular saw the price comes up $209? Am I missing something?
Andrew
Amazon also says 1 left in stock. I’m guessing they hit a unit cap on that deal as CAMEL CAMEL CAMEL says it was the best price on that saw in Amazon’s history.
Stuart
Looks like the reached a quota of some kind.
It was this price for at least 2 weeks. I first listed it here: https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/amazon-tool-deals-120617/%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E

The Bosch ROS65VC-6 6-Inch Pad Rear-Handle Random Orbit Sander with Vibration Control is part of the promo for $30 off, listed at $229, so down to $199 with the discount. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NZ6EGQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have this sander and think the vibration control works pretty well. For sanding larger surfaces, the 6″ goes quick. You can also get a 5″ pad for it. I’d buy it again.
