We recently learned of a new archery-focused Leatherman multi-tool. It looks like Leatherman is developing two new multi-tools for weapons adjustment and maintenance as well.
Leatherman Pump
From the trademark application (serial 85800938): Manually operated hand-held tool for use in connection with making adjustments to weapons and consisting of wrenches, gut hook, punch, bit driver and screwdriver bits. We have since learned that the Pump is designed for use with shotguns.

Leatherman Rail
The Rail is more designed as an AR-maintenance and adjustment tool.

Interesting……..From the sound of it, these probably won’t be available to look at at SHOT 2013 coming up.
I think it would be pretty cool to be able to attach a leatherman to a picatinny rail or to fit inside an AR-15 grip…….

I don’t think I would want to add that much weight to my AR, but it would be nice for a range bag. What is the real difference between this and a standard multitool that makes it gun-specific?
Stuart
It has a disassembly punch as featured on the Leatherman MUT Utility.
The pump seems to be a hunting-focused tool since it has a gut hook as opposed to a strap cutter, but it’s really too soon to tell.
My guess is that these are going to be smaller and ligher than full-sized multi-tools like the MUT and are designed as complementary pairs for other non-weapons-specialized milti-tools.

Demp:
You might take a look at the Leatherman Squirt Ps4. It’s a handy little multi-tool about 2 1/4″ long x 3/4″ wide x 1/2″ thick that should fit nicely in most AR15 pistol grips or some vertical fore grips. The Squirt Ps4 has a knife blade, scissors, pliers, wire cutter, file, bottle cap opener, two sizes of flat tip screw drivers, and a surprisingly useful half-profile Phillips screw driver.
