Leatherman Tread Clearance – Save 60% on Wearables & Watches

Leatherman Tread Multi-Tool in Silver and Black

You can score a Leatherman Tread wearable multi-tool or watch or less money than ever!

Leatherman deeply discounted their Tread wearable multi-tool bracelets back more than half a year ago, and have now reduced the prices even further.

Back in November, in the midst of the 2021 holiday shopping season, the Leatherman Tread was on “final sale” clearance for $82.47, or 45% off their regular price.

Now, the stainless steel and black-finish wearable multi-tools are $59.98, or 60% off their regular prices.

The “special offer, final sale” notice is still there, meaning no returns or exchanges are allowed.

Leatherman Tread Watches 2021

The Leatherman Tread Tempo watches – I’m sorry, timepieces – have also been further discounted, from $220 to $159.98. They were originally $400. The watches have Swiss-made movements.

Buy the Tread at Leatherman

The Tread and Tread Tempo wearable multi-tools are unconventional, and I would go so far to consider them functional jewelry.

There’s no way to know how many tools/bracelets or watches are left. I thought that a 45% discount would be enough for Leatherman to move remaining inventory, but apparently not. Will the 60% discount do the trick?

The abundance of less expensive clones is probably the reason they didn’t clear them all out at 45% off.

The cheap don’t last a screw and cost the same as it discounted.

My opinion that these are more gimmick than useful still stands – and apparently others thought so too as they were not scooped up at the 45% off pricing. The few reviews of the watches – on Amazon – are really mixed – with 20% being 1’s and 2’s

Agreed, these are far more of a fashion statement than they are a practical tool.

I have one. I only wear it where I can’t bring a multitool though. I’ve used it a few times but it’s always awkward. More of a better-than-nothing tool than anything you would use regularly.

Just about all the Leatherman stuff looks like junk.

That’s basically absurd on every single level.
But it’s certainly up you to make that personal judgement. Speaks worlds.

My experience using a variety of multi-tools has my rating the brand and the vast majority of the products as mid-market; with ‘standard’ materials and high quality – better than average performance.
Particularly in high knock-off, low quality environments such as Asia and East Europe.
There are superior quality & materials multi-tools. None that match the specific professional tools being replicated & bundled. These bracelet multi-tools are good for what they are intended for – the urgent needed ‘correct’ head for a minor fix when a tool box or full size multi-tool is far from an easy reach. JMHO.

I can see that as a fine use. Good idea, is the connection span listed?

Purchased one of each a few days ago. This clearance price is fairly the same price as a good knockoff. Plus Leatherman has a 25 year warranty. I wear a mens bracelet all the time so for me it’s a fashion statement more than a needed additional tool. I am retired and not in the trades anymore and I definitely wouldn’t wear any bracelet working with power tools. I received them yesterday in mail and have not made the sizing adjustments yet. Decisions decisions on what (2) links to take out.

I don’t see how you’re supposed to hold the thing. I guess you just grip it really tightly? With all those flexible links? Even the worst multi-tool would be more usable.

And you know what’s one thing I would never, ever wear every day? A bracelet. The watch would at least function as a watch.

Well I always wanted one and now I have one coming. I’ll give it a shot at 60% off. The original price was too high for my liking.

Looks like it might snag on clothes and other stuff, or give a good pinch. But I guess the proof is in the wearing.

LOL, so I have one paired with an apple watch.. so I used to say i took two worthless items and made one.

But I have come to really like/use my applewatch

To use it with a Leatherman bracelet, buy some of these:

I’ve always wanted one, but after trying it multiple times in the store and talking to the store rep. I realized I would return it just like the other people who bought it. The rep thinks the ones that weren’t returned were gifts. It looks cool but I don’t think it’s practical for me.

I thought maybe a good deal for a Swiss movement watch and I can just pick out a new bracelet for it, but I don’t know. Kid’s watch was the first impression I got when I saw them on the website. That dial just doesn’t do it for me personally.

Everyone loves a good deal, but the responses here seem to be lukewarm. Makes me wonder if someone over at Leatherman is big trouble for this one.

I hope nobody is “in trouble” – you have to be willing to fail sometimes if you want to be an innovative organization.

This idea may not have been a winner, but punishing someone for coming up with it might just mean the next great idea will pop up across town at Gerber…

        Agreed.

Good companies won’t penalize for innovative thinking that doesn’t pan out. Good companies also don’t rest products solely on one individual’s shoulders.

I don’t know much about Leatherman’s corporate culture, but I would think this product was a team effort.

It was a good effort, and the Tread perfectly suits certain users.

A “Swiss movement” when it’s a quartz watch isn’t what people think it is, it’s a literal Swatch. The Japanese make the best quartz watches. The Swiss movements people want are mechanical watches, which is not ideal for a watch like this because mechanical watches don’t handle shock as well as a quartz watch. A Swatch starts at around $50 and they’re basically disposable.
