Leatherman Fall Collection USA Apparel

Leatherman has just rolled out their Fall 2021 Collection of US-sourced and USA-made apparel.

The new line includes a pullover hoodie sweatshirt with their 1983 logo, a hoodie with a hand-drawn logo, a long sleeve tee with “brand stamp” on the back, and a t-shirt with the 1983 logo.

There are a couple of different color options, depending on the style.

Leatherman says:

Each tee and hoodie feature classic details like ribbed collars and reinforced stitching for maximum comfort and durability. And just like our tools, our apparel is proudly made in the USA.

The product pages detail where their shirt and hoodie components are sourced. For instance, the new 1983 logo hoodie is made in Asheboro, NC using USA-made hardware and fabric that’s knit in Clover, SC.

This is good news. There were some worries that Leatherman’s USA-made shirts and sweatshirts were a short-lived experiment, but it turns out that the previous designs were simply on clearance at 50% to make room for the new Fall 2021 collection designs.

There are still some limited sizes and styles from Leatherman’s previous series of shirts and hoodies, also made in the USA, on “final sale” clearance at 50% off.

The green and the black shirts look nice.

I hope they are able to start producing the crunch again soon, that thing looks interesting and useful.

How much are they offering to pay me to advertise for them?

It certainly seems that in all the way from low to high fashion some folks seem to like to wear or carry product emblazoned with the maker’s name.
I get it from the standpoint of the manufacturer – but I’m a bit happier to wear less adorned clothing or at least ones where it just carries a small logo that is not is not so blatantly obvious, Small penguins, crocodiles or golden fleece logos on my polo shirt seem better to me than even the small naming that folks like North Face, Patagonia and Columbia put on their outerwear. Meanwhile -in my past life we did order many T-Shirts and Jackets with the company name on them – as giveaways to the plumbers/helpers to help them promote our plumbing business and help build esprit de corps.

I used to prefer prominently displayed logos when I was young, but I outgrew it. Now I don’t even like small logos like Carhartt’s grey square. I would buy more of their clothes if they removed that logo.

      I prefer the low-key versions they’re closing out – e.g.: https://www.leatherman.com/basics-pullover-hoodie-665.html

It just has a small patch on the pocket.

Regretfully that version isn’t available to Canadians.

If it’s not for you, it’s not for you, but a lot of people do like graphics or branded tees and sweatshirts.

At least make a hi-vis option, given that Leatherman is big in the trades

Also, the logo doesn’t need to be bigger than the size of what would fit on a standard shirt pocket

fred. I also appreciate subtle logos. Or nearly none. And these guys are also 100% US Made. With a lot more choices, colors and three of my personal favorite jackets. Dunno about the girl’s stuff.

I’m just frustrated that pullover hoodies are the norm and full zip are much harder to get. Do people generally prefer pullovers? I find them harder to get on and more importantly, they are all or nothing. You can’t wear them open if it’s cold but not freezing.

Totally agree. That’s why I’ve never worn my Leatherman pullover (dumb. I know) and totally rely on the American Giant zippered variants.
      Both all “Made in America”.

Bought the clearance ones for gifts after the prior post, made in the USA, probably by American giant, these are a steal.
