Sweet! Thanks for the heads up. I been waiting for this.
Got my eye on the $30 shop vac.

After browsing Lowes.com I don’t find the model number for the shop vac listed in the black friday ad. The black friday special is 4.5hp, a full hp less than the other 14-gal models on the site. hmmm….

Exactly. What I have learned is that Black Friday deals that cannot be found ahead of time are usually specially intended for the holiday shopping season.

This is not to say that the Shop Vac is a bad buy, but it’s something to consider. As long as you’re aware of any differences between that model and others of its class, you’ll be able to make a well informed purchase decision.

It is for this reason why I refuse to buy special in-store-only drill bit sets. I still curse the lousy Irwin set I bought at Lowes two years ago during their Black Friday sale.

I’m not really excited over any of that. I don’t see anything I want. What about sockets, ratchets, wrenches, tool boxes/chests, etc.

Task Force tools are a back deal at any price.

In past years, there were 20%-off Kobalt tool chests, roll-aways, and combo storage systems, so it is highly possible that such a discount will return.

I don’t recall ever seeing an explicit socket, ratchet, or wrench sale, though.

Is that cordless drill any good?

By specs alone, I’d say “probably.” What worries us, however, is that we cannot find that drill’s particular model number is not listed on too many other retailers’ websites.

Well, hopefully we’ll be surprised when the whole ad comes out.

Who knows, maybe Home Depot will spring something really good on us. Here’s to hoping they do

I’m also not to impressed with anything they have on sale. Maybe the entire add will be better. I think this will be the first time I go to HD first.
