Update: Lowe’s is offering FREE SHIPPING on ALL online tool purchases 11/24-11/28 2011!
A little birdie at Lowes sent an email about their current tool deals and specials. Some of these deals expire on 11/21, others are valid through the end of the year. Some of these deals are downright awesome, possibly even better than their Lowe’s Black Friday tool deals!
The deals we’ll probably whip out our wallets for are the Dewalt bit kits, $10 Kobalt tool kits, and that 16-gallon 5.75HP Shop Vac. The others are reasonably good as well.

Dewalt 28pc Impact Bit Set “buy now” link is broken
Stuart
*fixed* Thanks for the alert!
Jonathan
Thanks for the hard work Stuart!
FWIW – I think that for a Dewalt Combo DCK251X from last week (Still available ) https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/2011/11/makita-dewalt-cordless-tool-combos-and-accessories-deals/%3C/a%3E which is still available is a better deal – if you need the impact driver/wrench you can add the bare tool for $107-$134 for 118 Ft# to 300 Ft# of torque.
The impact driver that is in the kit is the bare bones DW056KS (98 Ft#) – (long/no led light/and only 20 Ft# of more torque than the 12MAX impact driver (78 Ft#). http://www.dewalt.com/tool-categories/cordless-impact-driverswrenches.aspx
As well you only get the basic reciprocating saw and it looks like the basic batteries/charger and entry level drill. ( the flashlight -pass on it e-bay $10).
118 Ft# 1/4″ DC825B $107 link
125 Ft# 3/8″ DC823B $119 link
145 Ft# 1/2″ DC820B $118.18 link
300 Ft# 1/2 $134 ($109 Amazon) DW059B link
Lowes is going to have the #146404 Werner Aluminum Portable Work Platform normally $44 for $19 these are great for projects (esp flooring jobs as a work platform – as well as for cutting in ceilings when painting).
Jonathan
The 28 piece impact set is a great little kit – I bought one this past summer when they were $14.97.
My $.02 cents on the DEWALT 3-Tool 12-Volt Cordless Combo Kit -it does come with a free extra battery/or the Awesome 12v led light. link
I love this little light. This is a Lowe’s Promo that is running in store through the end of the year. ( I will look for the code) I would go for the light all day long. Extremely versatile and bright 130 lumens. Nevertheless the kit is a little silly in that you have three products that kinda of overlap. They all have enough torque to drive a 3″ screw into two sandwiched framing 2by4’s and all are VSR. Still a great deal for $199 for three tools and an extra battery or an awesome led work-light.
Stuart
Thanks, Jonathan, for the tips! I see what you mean about last week’s 2pc combo and a separate impact driver being a better buy.
I also noticed the Werner platform and ladder in a leaked copy of the BF circular. $19 looks to be a killer price for those products.
As for the Dewalt 12V LED light, I have to agree with you there as well – it is absolutely fantastic! Dewalt really nailed the design, and I’m looking forward to their new AAA/AA/D flashlight release in two months or so.
The same email mentioned the free 12V and 20V batteries with combo purchases, but I couldn’t see a way to redeem it online.

jonathan remember power doesn’t mean speed i have three impact drivers a firestorm, makita and a porter cable the firestorm has the least power but is the fastest at drilling screws and lag bolts were the porter cable is the most powerful by far and is the slowest the only advantage the porter cable has it can remove my lugnuts on my car.
Jonathan
Joe, I don’t believe that I quoted speed only the “quoted” foot pounds of Torque. Speed is less important to me than breaking free rusted or frozen bolts. Driving is less of an issue – my Dewalt 12V will bore 1 1/2″ holes ( they are not as clean as a drill because of the stutter from the impact. What I do like about driving screws with the impact is that you don’t chew up the heads (you might snap it off but not chew it up from camming out.
It is funny that your Firestorm and Porter Cable and my Dewalt’s impacts are all made by Stanley Black & Decker. The PC PCL120IDC-2 and the DC815 both are 12v impacts they both are rated at the same torque. Look a lot alike and have a similar silhouette, and features ( the PC has a different battery and a bit holder) they probably share a lot of the same guts as well.
But my 12v Dewalt 1/4″ Hex with a Milwaukee Shockwave impact adapter 1/4″ Hex to 1/2″ Rachet ” will loosen and remove the lugs on my car. I was shocked. I removed a ton of other bolts on the undercarriage and the shock absorber clevis bolt . It would touch the center support to frame bolts that were torque to 120 Ft# that is why I just bought the DC820 1/2″ 145 Ft#. This will handle most of what I will face on a car or truck, for everything else I have a 32″ breaker bar. I tell you that it beats firing up the compressor, and dragging the hoses out.
