Makita BOGO Tool Sale Holiday 2014

John sent in a tip about International Tool’s new Makita promo.

Buy a Makita 18V LXT XT252M or XT257M brushless tool combo kit, get a free X2 rotary hammer (XRH05Z) or X2 circular saw (XSH01Z).

The XT252M kit comes with the new Makita XPH07 extreme torque brushless hammer drill and a XDT01 impact driver. The XT257M kit comes with the same hammer drill and the same XDT08 impact driver. Both kits come with Makita’s standard fast charger and (2) 4.0Ah Li-ion batteries.

(Thanks to Del for the correction!)

Makita 18V XT252M Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit

While I think Makita USA is definitely misusing “BOGO,” this looks to be a great deal.

If you’re looking for something a little different, don’t forget about Home Depot’s tiered tool discount promo, and Amazon’s $25 off $100 Makita tool promo.

Over at International Tool, the XT252M kit is priced at $399, and the XT257M kit is priced at $379. The free bare saw is valued at $209, and the rotary hammer is valued at $359.

This deal is available at other authorized Makita dealers, although it’s not clear which ones. Makita USA simply says offer valid at participating dealers only. Contact your local dealer. If you find any other distributors that offering this same deal, please let us know in comments!

I expected that maybe International Tool’s pricing would be higher than Amazon’s, but the reverse is true. Amazon is only selling the hammer drill version directly, and for $31 more, and that’s after you take into account the $25 discount.

Thanks John for the deal tip!

Wow, this is a great deal! Slight error in your description regarding the impact drivers. They are different for each kit.

“The XT252M kit comes with the new Makita XPH07 extreme torque brushless hammer drill and a XDT01 impact driver. The XT257M kit comes with the extreme torque drill/driver and the same impact driver. Both kits come with Makita’s standard fast charger and (2) 4.0Ah Li-ion batteries.”

Both kits come with the XPH07 hammer drill.
The XT252M comes with the 3 speed XDT01 Impact Driver.
The XT257M comes with the single speed XDT08Z Impact Driver.

I bought this set last week from International. Good value deal. Also bought new Dewalt impact air tool from them and got $25 off purchase since the tool was over $100. I love Black Friday!

This is a little bit of the topic, but I went over to the internationaltool.com website to check out this Makita deal and saw that they have the Dewalt DCK296M2 combo for $229. This kit usually retails for $369 at most places that I’ve seen, so it seems like a pretty good deal.

ToolBarn.com has started offering this as well, for a similar price structure, but they are not making it obvious on their website. You have to read the small print on the individual pages for each kit and click on the link that leads to the explanation of the offer.
