Makita 25 off 100 Holiday 2015 Discount

As mentioned in our early Holiday 2015 Amazon deal roundup, Amazon’s $25 off $100+ discount on select Makita tool orders went live really early this year.

There are some exclusions, but we have found that this discount works on most Makita cordless power tools, benchtop power tools, air tools, and power tool accessories. It doesn’t work on a couple of price-fixed cordless tool deals or battery promo packs.

The discount appears instantly at checkout on $100+ orders of eligible tools that are sold and shipped directly by Amazon.

So… for all you Makita tool and accessory fans, what are you going to be buying this holiday season?

Deal expires 12/31/2015.

Right now, it looks like this discount is only available at Amazon, but we believe it will spread to some other retailers in a week or two when other brands’ holiday deals are expected to first pop up.

I may look at either the right angle 18v drill (XAD02Z) or the Oil-Impulse Impact Driver (XST01Z). I’ve just bought a normal Impact Driver and two drills so perhaps I may be overspending 🙁

Wanted to grab a better jigsaw and was liking their $99 offering, but it doesn’t qualify… will have to wait to see how Bosch stacks up whenever their offer comes through.

I just took advantage of the offer a couple of days ago. I bought their ¼”-hex corded impact driver (6952). There are very few choices on the market for this specific tool, and understandably so. Most consumers want cordless for this tool. I would have purchased the Makita regardless of the promo, so the savings were a bonus for me, not a sales clincher.

I was just checking out Makita’s site last night and saw the XTP01Z: 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Cordless Pin Nailer, 23 Ga

Any experiences or review of that? Im seriously excited upon seeing that. That looks like it really went under the radar or at least I missed it announced somehow as I’ve been waiting for sub 18 Ga cordless nailers to make their appearance. I would sure take a cordless 23 Ga pin nailer without question!

Although currently not in stock, Amazon will let you buy it:

“Order now and we’ll deliver when available. We’ll e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information. Your account will only be charged when we ship the item.”

so you can lock the price with 25 dollar off discount. That seems like quite a darn good deal for a cordless 23 ga pin nailer = $175.

None. I might have saw it on Amazon once or twice, and meant to post about it, but it looks awfully bulky to me, for a pin nailer.

I reached out to Makita USA asking for more info, will see what they say.

There’s also a new impact wrench that’s coming out, and some other tools that Makita announced this week with few details, but the pin nailer wasn’t one of them.

Found some more info, I did find one guy who had a video he posted in reviews from Home Depot:

        https://youtu.be/Cr8R6dK6_28

It doesn’t look “too” terribly bulky particularly if Im getting rid of the compressor and hoses.

One main detail they don’t note in specs or manual itself is just what type of pins its compatible with. While they note the length: (Pin nail size
0.6 x 18, 25, 30, 35 mm (11/16″, 1″, 1-3/16″, 1-3/8″) they don’t seem to note wether they are “headed, headless, and/or slight headed pins. I do no that some like the Grex nailer are headless only compatible not even slight headed and thats pretty important info to know.

I’ve never come across any other 23 gauge nail other than headless. I thought that was the whole point of the 23g to allow for the smallest possible hole showing.

I’m not saying there aren’t 23g nails with heads, just that I haven’t seen any.

You could hook up a conventional pneumatic pinner to a small portable tank of compressed gas(CO2), similar to a paintball gun system.

Both Tools-Plus and Factory Authorized Outlet (cheesy name IMO) have had the $25 off special in place since November 1st. I have dealt with both companies and have had zero problems with either of them. I personally prefer Tools-Plus as they generally ship all in stock items in quick order.
