Makita Black Friday Tool Deals at Home Depot 2024

Makita has fewer Black Friday tool deals than in previous years, but there are still some good bargains worth considering.

Most of Makita’s Black Friday 2024 tool deals are centered around their 18V cordless power tool system, but there are some XGT and accessory deals as well.

Be sure to check back on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, as we’ll be covering flash sales, coupons, and doorbusters. I don’t expect to see many more Makita deals, but there might be some coupon offers that can be applied to Makita products.

The starter kit is different from last year’s, but both offers are still good values if you’re set on buying into the Makita 18V cordless tool system.

Much disappoint. They should have at least matched the 5ah deal from last year…

Some deals are better than none, or so I keep telling myself.

Not the deals of years past. Also nice that Makita is resurrecting 4AH batteries because they have to hamstring a totally capable line of tools to make way for their ugly new baby xgt. I would do a starter kit and another grinder, but the damn thing takes proprietary grinder discs so all they get from me is a middle finger.

It seems Makita does not consider itself competitive in NA and is making little effort to increase its market share here. The market in the USA and Canada is very competitive, and the prices are consequently kept reasonable/low. Makita does not seem to want to compete price-wise and has decided to try to compete on quality. But is their higher quality worth the price differential? Makita sales are taking a hit in NA and the market is telling them the answer is that “no, the higher price is not justified”.
The price/value of XGT is hard to justify, and I like XGT tools.

We pay 199 for two 4ah and a charger. Yet somehow they list a single 4ah and charger as valued at 194. Gotta love their “marketing” aka lies

I urge everyone to vote with your wallet. Expecting us to pay the same for less product, while they take in record profits is the epitome of late stage capitalism corporate greed. Years have passed since the pandemic and their “supply chain” issues.

This isn’t the place to soapbox about “late stage capitalism corporate greed.”

And if you’re going to do that, get your facts straight.

I had a chat with Makita USA a few weeks ago, and they don’t understand why I point out their financials in posts, such as in the one Rick linked to in their comment above. It’s mainly to help generate my own understanding. Financial disclosures can shed valuable insights that provide context.

If you read some of those posts, you’d know that Makita USA is NOT “taking in record profits.” They’ve had slim profits and even losses over the past few years, even after a couple of price increases, value-reduction in certain kits such as with battery size swaps, and job cuts.

Makita USA no longer seems willing to throw cash into aggressively discounted deals and promotions.

It’s my belief that they’re not thinking “how do we screw over our tool users with higher prices,” but “this is how we avoid further price increases and another round of layoffs.”

I bought into Makita because they had the best deals many years ago. Years later I have replaced every tool in that kit and have crews working all Makita. Not having good deals this time of year is very short sighted.

      Agree 100%.
If Makita does not put more effort into staying price competitive with the other big players, it will increasingly become a niche option. Only those already heavily invested in Makita will continue to purchase Makita. I thought they would change course this xmas buying season from the last year or two and offer comparable “deals” to the other big tool companies, but this year is as bad if not worse. I also thought that the price of their new XGT line would come down. I am now convinced that they have decided to go in the direction of Fein/Festool, i.e., high quality/high price. LXT is legacy, and they will keep it reasonably priced, but XGT marks the split in the Fein/Festool direction.
