2020 has been… well… it has been a dumpster fire of a year. Thankfully, the year is almost over, and I know we all hope for 2021 to be better.

I hope you’re all well, and I hope you stay safe.

I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday, and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Since I can’t think of anything cheerful to say right now, how about some really bad dad jokes?

Did you know that most French Fries are actually cooked in Greece?

There were rolls in one of the exhibits at the zoo. We asked the zookeeper for the backstory, and they said it was bread in captivity.

Caution: stay off the grass or you might step on a blade.

What’s worse than biting into an apple and finding a worm? Finding half a worm.

I can tell when my kids are lying just by looking at them. I can also tell when they’re standing.

When does a bad joke become a dad joke? When it becomes apparent.

That is very good. As much as I appreciated the horrible dad jokes I think tool jokes would be more appropriate ☺️

Growing up, I remember my mom coming home after a shopping trip, rationalizing the trunk full of bags to my dad with “but I SAVED so much” and my wife does the same thing now.

This site has certainly been a blessing and a curse to my bank account since discovering it this year (but I’ve SAVED so much!) I stumbled onto an Instagram post in early autumn and have been to the site daily ever since.

Happy holidays everyone! Between a worldwide pandemic and losing my dad, 2020 was a year that will leave scars on us all. Here’s hoping for a big rebound in 2021! There are very few sites that I check out on a daily basis. My ever-growing collection of tools is a tribute to that. I only lurked here for 3 or 4 years before I tried to contribute in comments! It’s rare to find a space where everyone can openly discuss our knowledge, experience and opinions without the conversation digressing into personal insults and sniping at one another. Keep up the great work Stuart!

    Cheers everyone.

    Thanks for all the deals!

My kids each got their own toolbag this year with screwdrivers, levels, tape measures, and hammers that were re-handled with heads belonging to their great grandfather.

Happy holidays, a bright new year to you and your family! Thanks for running a place that lets us all feel like we’re at a real hardware store drinking bad coffee from paper cups- running a community where the comments are as helpful and insightful as the content is very hard work, and it’s really appreciated.

Thanks Stuart and I hope you enjoyed a great Holiday. It would be convenient to blame you for all those great tool deals as to how I wound up purchasing them but that would be unfair, no I’ll take full responsibility. Your information and insight did help me make decisions and perhaps influenced the timing of some purchases but only for the better deals
