Milwaukee Buy More Save More Deal 02-2020

Over at Acme Tools, they have two really good (at least in my opinion) deals on Milwaukee cordless power tools.

Deal 1: Save up to $150 on select Milwaukee M18 Fuel bare tools

With the first deal, there’s a selection of 88 M18 Fuel tools. Officially, the deal is “save up to 30%,” but it’s a dollar-off promotion with the 30% figure coming from the max discount on the exact threshold. I know some of you don’t like the language of these deals, but it’s still a great discount nonetheless.

  • $30 off $299+
  • $80 off $399+
  • $150 off $499+

If you had your eye on a couple of new Milwaukee M18 cordless power tools, especially the kinds that are rarely if ever discounted, this is a great promo.

Actually, the deal includes some non-Fuel tools too, such as LED lighting and cordless vacuum products.

Unfortunately, the discount doesn’t stack on top of other deals. For example, buy a select M18 LED worklight and you get a free battery. But if your order exceeds $299, the “buy more save more” discount will override it.

Obviously, the deal isn’t very good if you’re at the lower tiers. $30 off $299+ is ~10% if you spend the minimum, and it gets worse percentage-wise until you get to the next tier. $80 off $399+ is ~20%, which is better, but it also diminishes percentage-wise until you get to the next tier.

The highest discount tier, $150 off $499+, comes out to be ~30% if you spend the minimum.

STILL, consider that Acme’s highest regular discount promo is 15%, this deal of $150 off $499 saves you more money until you get to ~$1000, and that’s when Acme’s fine print allows for discounts of $150 or greater.

In other words, if you were looking to buy a bunch of new Milwaukee M18 cordless power tools, this is a really good discount on bare tools. $30 off $299+ and $80 off $399+ are okay, but far less appealing.

With the tiered discount, a $300 order comes out to be $270, a $400 order comes out to be $320, and a $500 order comes out to be $350.

Personally, I would ignore the lower tiers and just consider this a $150 off $499+ promo. Besides, $500 is spent pretty quickly when talking about Milwaukee M18 and M18 Fuel cordless power tools.

The discount is applied to your cart automatically. Deal ends 4/30/2020, giving you plenty of time to plan out your order.

Deal 2: Save up to 20% on select Milwaukee M12 bare tools

The next deal features a discount on select M12 bare tools.

  • Save 10% off 1 select tool
  • Save 20% off 2 select tools

This is a decent deal if you buy two tools, otherwise you’re better off waiting for a 15%-off promo.

There are some rarely-discounted tools in the 17-tool selection, including the new M12 Surge hydraulic impact driver, stubby impact wrenches, and M12 Fuel cordless ratchets.

It is unclear as to when this M12 deal ends.

I wish they had the die grinder in the M12 deal, but I suppose its too new.

I didn’t see the Packout radio listed on Acme select tools. But it’s listed on Toolnut $30/80/150 tool sale.

Home Depot and CPO have the same basic structure on the M18 deal in case you run into any availability/shipping issues.

I didn’t look at the Cpo site, but I didn’t see the Packout radio number listed on HD sale list.

I guess you just need to add an item to the cart. That way you can check for sure if it’s eligible for the discount.

It’s a little frustrating that you can’t purchase something for $199 and $299 without adding something else. The frustrating part is the cheapest things are $49 flashlights that I don’t really have any need for.

Yes, if you have to purchase something just to complete the deal. The trick is finding tools that you need, which also meet the price criteria.

Yup, unfortunately, there’s nothing else I really “need.” Especially when my total is at $498, so anything else I add I’m essentially paying full price for, or it just reduces to overall discount %. I choose to take the glass half full approach.

One bonus is all the tools are Red, which goes with the Valentines them. So it qualified for a gift to myself.

Another way to look at the deal:

If you were going to spend $300 anyway, you might as well spend $400, for only an extra cost of $50, or even better, spend an extra $200, and it will only cost an extra $80.
Or, if you going to spend $400 anyway, for an extra $30, you can get an extra $100.

I guess that’s my hangup, I was gonna spend $498, so I get nothing extra. 🙂

Just ordered a 7 1/4 miter saw and a Blower, wanted both for a while and the $150 pushed me over the edge.

      The $150.00 is a 30 percent discount on a $499.00 total.

I used this deal at a local Home Depot Store.
I also got an email from their “PRO” email listing for 10% off in-store.
Went in and got the Packout Radio at $329 (It said $299 on signage, but worked in my favor by not being reduced) and the M18 Trim Router at $179 for a total of $508.
    $150 off of $508 = $358
    10% off of $358 = $322.20
    $322.20 + $19.33(Tax) = $341.53.

If your signed up for the email, I got mine 2/4/20 from homedepotpro@email……..
    It’s a yellow banner.

PS. this is the fine print…

For newer items like the Packout radio. The discount brings it more inline with Dewalts tough system radio.

Home Depot discount for this here I just do not under stand.
    Put in cart a 299.99 Impact wrench and 99.99 flashlight. Tells me my subtotal is 418.00 and gives me a 50.00 discount. I owe 368.00. That’s a 12% discount. Now I add a heat gun for 149.99. Get a subtotal of 567.00, discount me 170.00 . I owe 397.00. A 30% discount. If I subtract the heat gun. Add one more 99.00 flash light and a 54.97 flash light I get a 591.97 subtotal. A 190.00 discount and a balance I owe of 402.03 which is a 32% discount.

Procrastinating really messed me up. As presidents day I believe it was I had the 1/2 impact wrench with one key, 279.00, heat gun 129.00 and 100.00 flash light. That’s what I wanted. Now same impact wrench is 349.00, heat gun 149.00. The 3/4 inch impact with one key is 299.00. Seems like a much better price to me. I want the 100.00 flashlight. Just cannot lock in on that third item.

And they will give me a credit card with six months to pay for all this Milwaukee 18 volt stuff. They give me another 50.00$. Seen that and almost thought it was Christmas.

I have one other issue that’s kinda big. I own eleven m12 fuel tools, zero m18 tools.
