This fine October Monday, Home Depot has another tool-related deals of the day event, featuring Milwaukee cordless power tools and a couple of other tool-related deals.
Some of the deals are quite good. The M18 Fuel One-Key brushless table saw, for example, is on sale for $449, from a regular price of $599. We saw similar one-day pricing last month, and it still seems to be a great price.

The inflator is also a good deal – here’s Andrew’s review on it. The bare tool is typically priced at $79. So for $95 you’re basically buying the bare tool and then the 2.0Ah battery at ~$16. This isn’t an unbeatable bargain, but it’s a good price if you have an M18/M12 charger and want the inflator but don’t already have an M12 battery to go along with it.
The M18 Fuel chainsaw kit and blower bundle is also a good deal, given that the chainsaw kit typically sells for $449 by itself.

To me, these M12 bare tool and free battery deals always scream to me: “c’mon M18 users, give M12 a try, you know you want to…” This is a really good strategy if you ask me. The chargers bundled in M18 cordless power tool kits come with M18 and M12 charging ports, and so you only need an M12 tool and battery to get started.

I love the output and small size of the M12 Rocket LED work light. We have review samples of all of the Rocket lights, and I prefer this size most of all given its versatility. Its smaller size makes it easier to transport, and also means it can fit in smaller or more awkward spaces.

Anybody have any experience (besides the bright color) with the the Wolverine Safety shoe on sale? Does this meet OSHA requirements with the composite toe?

I bought a pair when they first came out. It rubbed on one spot on my big toe. I ended up returning them. But the shoe was comfortable. I would buy size-WIDE- I don’t have wide feet.
Check wolverine.com i think they have good prices on the same shoe which i believe is a first gen.

Well, yeah, except for the fact that I am still (happily) using the M18-only charger that came with my first 2-tool set back in …. 2010, I think. Generally speaking, it looks like I’d need to find a steal deal on a full kit that includes an M12 (or dual voltage) charger, or hand over a few dozen more hard-earned clams, to get into the smaller versions. Which outlay might be well spent, were it not for so many other wolves at the door. Praying that the right combo sale prices arrive in the week I receive a large an unexpected check from somewhere.

Or you could just got the local pawn shop or Craigslist. Everytime I go to the pawn I see brand-new chargers for practically nothing.

I am still stuck on adding the M12 cutoff tool to my M12 arsenal. Currently I use a 4.5” grinder for occasionally cutting metal however the size of this tool is awesome but after reading reviews I am afraid it will not have the power I am used to with the grinder. Lots of negative reviews stating as such.

I haven’t bought that cutoff tool for those exact same reasons. Same reason i haven’t bought the m12 circ saw. Tried it at homedepot on 2x material and wasn’t impressed. Had the milwaukee rep touted it as a sheet good saw and had a demo as such i’d probably own that too lol.

I have the m12 circ saw it’s under powered – you just have to be smart on how you use it – it can bind very easily – but it’s great for not having to pull a cord out – I can’t see a pro-using this saw unless it’s really thin material.

Check out the new m12 right angle die grinder coming out with 4 different settings . Waiting for mine to ship from acme tools near mid month when they come out. Hopefully sooner as the new extended ratchets shipped early and arrived at my house before the expected ship date last month. Great new M12 tool as well.
Glad they’ve came out with some more mechanics stuff lately.
