Today only, Home Depot has a whole lot of Milwaukee cordless power tool bundle promos, plus a couple of hand tool, power tool accessory, and workwear deals.

Some of the deals are really good. For instance, Milwaukee’s M18 cordless sander is $99 for the bare tool, or $199 for the 3.0Ah battery kit. With today’s bundle, you get the sander and a starter kit with charger, 2.0Ah battery, and 5.0Ah battery for $189. You get more than what’s included in the regular kit, and for less money too.

Milwaukee appears to have deals all too regularly, far more than most other tool brands. Why is that?

I believe part of the reason is brand recognition and market saturation.
The other part is probably that they are priced out of most DIY/homeowner (when full price) use cases and this is a way to get you hooked into the lineup.

Most power tool brands have deals all the time.

Milwaukee’s deals tend to be very different over time, and I think that makes them more compelling, or at least more interesting.

Even with deals like this, we get a ton of requests for when specific tools go on sale.

These deals also give strong incentives for buying into Milwaukee’s cordless platforms. The sander for example gives you a bigger XC battery and a cordless battery for less than the kit. It makes it more tempting for new users to buy another bare tool, deepening their investment into Milwaukee.

That magnetic tape measure and screwdriver set looks pretty tempting.

Someone convince me why I should replace my 20 year old classic Craftsman screwdrivers (still in good shape) with newer Milwaukee drivers.

Right angle M12 drill with a 3ah battery for $93? yes please. I have been waiting for a right angle drill sale, and the 3.0ah battery makes this great for me.
