Today only, Home Depot has a slew of Milwaukee cordless power tool deals, hand tools deals, accessories, and workwear on sale.
The good news is that a lot of these are very good deals, mainly money-saving bundles and special buys. Some of the deals have already sold out, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see more sell-outs. The M12 stubby impact wrench kit and battery bundle, for example, is likely to be a popular seller.

The downside of special bundles is that you sometimes have to spend money on tools you might not have intended to buy, but the nature of the combos seem to be very well thought out. For instance, the M12 impact wrench, ratchet and socket set, and inflator seems to be attractively priced and all of these tools will come in handy for someone looking to pick up some auto maintenance tools.
Some of the deals feature rarely discounted tools, such as Milwaukee drain-cleaning tool kits and pipe wrenches, and also a couple of Packout and other tool bag options.

Off-topic, but a good deal. I might not be able to post about it today, so here’s a link for reference/convenience:

The Dewalt case is super nice. Much nicer than I envisioned.

“The downside of special bundles is that you sometimes have to spend money on tools you might not have intended to buy“
That’s a downside? 🙂
Low profile headlamp is already sold out… bummer!

Sometimes you get a tool that you don’t need. Then after using it you realize it is very handy to have.
JR3 Home Performance
Yeah I would have bought one too

I don’t need another ratchet, I want the M12 fuel hammer drill. I don’t need another ratchet. I need another ratchet.

Looking to replace my entire outdated Craftsman Professional set.
Is the M18 (Model # 2697-25) 5 tool combo kit at $399 as good of a deal as it seems?
MattJ
It’s a decent deal but not totally outrageous. The tools in that kit are all brushed, and while decent quality are not top of the line stuff.
Not a bad deal if you really need the impact wrench. Not sure what kind of work you do, but I’d have very little use for that, and I’d be looking to get a kit with brushless motors and maybe some other tools I’d use more (circ saw would be more important for me), or pare it back to just a brushless drill and impact driver for around $200, but to each their own.

I wish Home Depot Canada had these deals

Just order them in USA ship them to me and I’ll ship you the bill 😉

The free 3/8 ratchet with m-12 drill & impact, rated at 35 fp torque. (2457-29). There is a higher torque model(2557-20), which has 55fp of torque. They are giving you the smaller 3/8 ratchet. I’ll find out how well it works.
Evadman
I have both, and use them often, I mostly automotive work. I can say that both of them are almost useless in the rustbelt for automotive disassembly work. They can not break anything lose unless it is inside the car, and the bolt doesn’t protrude through the body. They are good for running a new bolt or nut down before final torque.
I talked to a garage door contractor on usage, because he also had both. The week before, he had the 35 ft/lb one stolen, so he was using the fuel version. He wouldn’t stop talking about how awesome it was compared to the 35ft/lb version. He was using it to pull down and put up new tracks, GDO, and the lagbolts for the torsion bar mounts. Ive kept in touch specifically for that reason, and he still swears by the fuel version.
So with a huge sample size of 2, I would say performance is based on type of usage 🙂
PlaneGrain
I will probably use it on new hardware, so the 3/8 35 fp ratchet might be alright. Kit has M-12 hammer drill, impact driver also an M-12. The 3/8 ratchet, one 2.0 ah battery, one 4.0 ah battery, charger & toolbag. All for under $200.00, the deal looks good on the surface anyway.
RKA
Each one has its pros. The newer one has more power, but the difference isn’t huge if you’re breaking the bolt loose manually or or doing the final tightening manually. The older one has a much more compact head that will fit into tight quarters.

Thanks for the info.

Ok. This one got me… broke down and bought the 12v fuel driver/drill set with ratchet!

Bought the M12 Rocket Light less than a week agp for $149. It came with a 4ah battery. Yesterday it was $119. I called customer service and they gave me a price adjustment, no questions asked. I ended up buying a second light before they sold out, to give to a friend who helped me put brakes on two vehicles a week ago. Pay it forward…..

Home Depot was not playing around. I came home to a milwaukee box.
