Milwaukee has come out with a special EDC (everyday carry) bonus package (2355-20KN) that comes with their new M12 LED flashlight and a new Hardline folding knife.
The LED flashlight (2355-20) typically retails for $99 by itself, and the 3″ Hardline knife (48-22-1994) $70. An M12 battery is required but not included.

The flashlight has been great, featuring spot-flood beam adjustment, 3 output modes, 800 lumens max output, tough and durable construction, and water resistance rated to IP54 standards.
I’ve also been liking Milwaukee’s Hardline knives quite a bit. They’re not quite as finessed as knives from more established knife makers, but they’re smooth, tough, and very nicely designed and engineered.
With this special promo kit you get nearly $170 worth of tools for $99.

Seems like a lot of cash for that knife and light

The ergonomics of this flashlight look nightmarish, so I’d never buy it unless I got a chance to grip it. The knifelooks like any 30-40 dollar gerber knife where you pay the rest for the milwaukee name. I realize I may be being overly pessimistic as I just woke up, or that I’m just not falling for their hype. Ymmv

I agree about the knife lookin like a Gerber. It says it’s d2 tool steel . That’s decent steel . Better than Gerber might regularly use . For the cash they want I’d look for a kershaw

As a knife nut and a lights nut, this is quite appealing price wise.
Things that stand out:
Light:
+ M12 rechargeable
+ 800 lumen OTF (this is very bright)
+ zoomable
+ good throw, good beam pattern
+ metal
+ high CRI / good tint
– chunky, like maglite
Knife:
+ D2 steel
+ deep carry clip
+ blackwash finish (hides wear)
I can see the value for $100 for both. Especially if you’re not into dealing with 18650 cells. It’s hard to get good output and runtime, and good tint high CRI with alkaline powered lights.
The knife is just a bit above meh, but if you think of it as a $20-30 add-on to a $70-80 light, pretty good!
