Milwaukee’s Fastback utility knife was introduced less than a year ago, but has already become quite popular. It’s designed to open much quicker than traditional utility knife designsm and features a built-in wire stripper and cord-cutting gut hook.
At ~$13-15 a pop, the Fastback is quite a bit more expensive than ordinary utility knives, but from the many positive user reviews we’ve seen, it’s worth it.

I certainly don’t need any more utility knives, but I’m sold on the Fastback’s design and ordered one this morning.

It replaced all other pocket knives. It’s now part of my daily pocket load. Phone, wallet, keys, fastback.

I’m intrigued; it’s a pretty clever way to make it easier to get three different types of use out of just one blade. It looks like it’d be a nice addition to a field tool kit or something to keep in a shared vehicle’s glovebox as a basic tool—not everyone using the vehicle may carry an E.D.C. knife or a multitool.
I can see this as also being quite handy for those reluctant to abuse their usual knives or need a worksite knife that’s separate from their usual knife. I wouldn’t feel reluctant to loan someone a knife like this for fear that they might do something that would break the blade.
Is it just me or does its handle shape kind of resemble the wooden handles on handtools made a few decades back?

I picked one of these up the other day after loosing my Stanley quickslide in an attic. I really like the design and feel of the knife. Very easy one handed operation and its built very sturdy. It’s only $8 now at home depot. Very good deal

Those knives are cool if it get dull just change the blade. I have over eleven utility knives and 250 blades. I can’t help myself. Gonna get more soon maybe a Irwin.
Craftsman is my fav. rosewood handle, leather pouch and on sale for 7.50 what’s not to like. Duh that was 12 years ago. my first folder. Now I have a milwauklee and I don’t like it. Blades always loose. dewalt its ok. greber is tiny not much bigger than the blade. harbor freight ok cheapest I ever paid.
