Dear Milwaukee Tool, Thanks for the “Free Tool with Shockwave Accessories” Rebate!

Milwaukee ShockWave Rebate

Dear Milwaukee Tool,

Thank you for the 2 very nice free 25-foot tape measures that arrived yesterday! Sure, they’re not the premium tape measures, but free is free, and the “contractor” tapes are still quite good.

I thought I would have to email in about this, but they arrived quickly and without any added effort on my part. I know that you can add up to 5 redemptions per rebate, but I had to fill out the form twice since there’s only one invoice or receipt number per form.

And you accepted my (clear) smartphone photos of the receipts without issue. Great!

This really was a sweet arrangement – spend $50+ on Shockwave accessories and get a free 25-foot tape measure. I needed to buy some new Shockwave screwdriver bit sets, nutdrivers, and drill bits anyway, for my DIY tool kit editorial and giveaway project, and also for tool testing.

I do wish that there was an easier way to learn about the rebates. I only thought to check the same URL that one retailer linked to it last year. I hope you don’t mind, but I’m going to share the rebate page with a few friends.

Milwaukee Tool Active Rebates Page

I see that right now there are only rebates on Shockwave accessories and on Force Logic and press tool kits. These end October 31st. Ooh, does that mean new rebates for the holiday season? I’ll try to remember to check back in November. Last year’s Hole Dozer and Sawzall rebate was pretty sweet.

Let’s see. Spend $50+ on Shockwave accessories, get a free 25′ tape measure. $100+, get a free M12 starter kit and power source. $200+, get a free M12 impact driver kit.

I don’t think my next accessories stock-up will be for more than $100, but if it comes close I’ll pad it a little. Too bad I couldn’t do that this time, because my Shockwave purchases were made on separate days, with the first being prior to my rediscovery of the rebate. Ah well.

Oh, and if I might make a request – how about a Packout rebate, either as the qualifying purchase, or the free item? That’d sure be nice.

Sincerely,

Stuey

Yes! Packout rebate! Or buy the cart and deep box for 199, get the slim box free?

      Slowly, but it’s getting there.

There are a few more categories I need to work on, such as pliers and supplies.

Lowe’s has the NWS Irwin pliers on clearance. The 8″ side cutters, ergonomic pliers, and linesman. Up to 75% off, but limited availability.

Though I’m sure you would rather include a repeatable deal for your DIY toolguyd

Months ago they only had 2 styles at my local Lowe’s, all others were already gone.

This seems like a very “your miles might vary” type of clearance, but a great deal if you can get it. If I lived closer to Lowe’s, I’d stop in ASAP to check.

Note that Amazon has respectable deals on the NWS / Irwin pliers. I grabbed a pair of 8″ Diags (with powerslot) for $27ish (Lowes has them for $17 but only if you can find them… not worth my time to go on a scavenger hunt).
