Right after I posted about the Dewalt jab saw deal that’s going on right now, I checked the price of Milwaukee’s jab saw.
They’re $8 each. That’s not a bad price, although it also doesn’t seem to be very special either – $8 is its everyday price.

But then I looked deeper, and it looks like last year’s Home Depot PRO Black Friday deal has returned for 2020 as an online-only special.
Why buy 1 for $8 if you can buy 2 for $10?
This 2-pack is a very good deal, unless you anticipate only needing one jab saw for the foreseeable future. In that case, maybe you can split a 2-pack with a buddy. Save one as a spare? One for home, one for work?
What makes the price even sweeter is that Home Depot has both SKUs available for free shipping and with no minimum order amount required. $10 for 2 jab saws shipped is a good deal.
I’ve used Milwaukee’s 6″ jab saw before, and have had great experiences with it thus far, although it doesn’t see much use with me.

Just ordered a 2 pack of these for my wife’s garden root sawing. Hope that the rasping area doesn’t impede that use – but for under $6 each with tax – it was an easy sell.
Thanks Stuart

Last year, this deal vanished from the local HD sales floor almost as soon as the display was placed. I’ve been using them all year with no complaints. The back edge with the rasp holes is super convenient. I just need to find a good individual holster! My Oxyshield is pretty shredded from these.

Both Buckingham MFG and Barnel make leather holsters/sheaths/scabbards that work for various pruning saws. Maybe one would meet you needs – or could be trimmed to do so.

Thank you! Someone here always has helpful info. Good deals, too.

Fred always has info to add. Looks like Buckinghamm is in Binghamton NY. I there for 10 years but had never known of that company. As I get more and more into tools it’s fun to find the more local manufacturers. Maybe Stuart would consider posting blurbs here and there about these smaller US makers.
Stuart
I love finding out about smaller companies, but they’re invisible to me unless I learn about them by suggestion or natural exploration. Will look into this one, thanks!

Stuart – Fleet Farm has a $50 gift card if you buy $300 of Milwaukee or Dewalt any combination no exclusions. A good way to get some never discounted tools.

I grabbed these last year during the sale; no complaints. Sharp and comfy handle.

Last season they had this jab saw paired w the compact utility knife (Milwaukee 48-22-1906J) and I bought several pairs of them–can’t remember what they cost but I remember the saws were so inexpensive bundled this way that we weren’t afraid to abuse them when necessary and they held up pretty good to such abuse.

Just saw these at my local Home Depot. They were marked down to 7.50 for the pair.

Just ordered these, have to drywall my tiny house in the next few weeks!

In for a pair. I always seem to buy way too may tools around Thanksgiving/Christmas time, but at least I’m getting them on sale…..
