Milwaukee M12 Cordless Power Tool Giveaway

Home Depot’s Labor Day Savings Event for 2020 is still going strong – check out what I had to say about the promo here.

We partnered with Home Depot to help promote their huge sale (you’ll see some more posts via the ToolGuyd Instagram channel in coming days), and while this post isn’t a direct part of that, I have an idea that I think you guys might like.

I keep looking at Home Depot’s Labor Day tool deals, and there are a lot of good bargains. Some of these deals are too good to pass up!!

See Home Depot Labor Day Savings: Power Tools | Hand Tools

I’m having a hard time passing on this promo, but I know what we could do! I can satisfy that “gotta get in on these deals” itch by buying something for one of you! Thanks to this sponsorship, our giveaway budget has been nearly replenished (thank you to Home Depot!).

Seems like a good idea, right? How would you like to win a brand new Milwaukee M12 cordless power tool kit or bundle?

The Prizes

Milwaukee M12 Rocket LED Worklight Kit Bundle

Milwaukee M12 Rocket LED Worklight Kit

This Milwaukee M12 Rocket LED worklight bundle is what gave me this idea in the first place. It’s a fantastic worklight, and $179 seems like an incredible bargain. It’s so hard to pass up, but I don’t need two of these, right?

This bundle comes with (2) 4.0Ah batteries and a charger.

I’m seeing the bare tool Rocket tripod worklight, 2132-20, priced at $139 and $149 at competing retailers at the moment. An extra $30 to $40 for (2) M12 XC batteries, charger, and carrying case seems like a great deal.

Milwaukee M12 Fuel Hammer Drill, Impact Driver, Hackzall Saw Kit Bundle

Milwaukee M12 Fuel Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit with Bonus Hackzall Saw

Next up, this M12 Fuel combo kit and free Hackzall reciprocating saw kit also seems like a very good deal. It’s a solid combo kit, and although the Hackzall isn’t brushless, it’s compact and capable.

What especially pleases me about this bundle is that the kit comes with a compact 2.0Ah battery and an XC 4.0Ah battery, which is a great combination given the mix of tools. This is a fantastic entry into Milwaukee’s M12 cordless power tool system.

Milwaukee M12 Fuel SURGE Driver and Ratchet

Milwaukee M12 Fuel Surge Impact Driver and Ratchet

I LOVE the Milwaukee SURGE M12 Fuel hydraulic impact driver. This kit isn’t often discounted, but a free bare tool sweetens the price.

If you don’t love the idea of the cordless ratchet being your freebie bonus, don’t fret, there are at several other bonus bundle options, just search for 2551-22 and “free” (link below).

If this is the prize you want, we’ll make sure to cover the cost of any of the $199 Surge + free tool bonus bundles.

Here’s a list of the options at a glance:

  • Surge kit + free oscillating multi-tool
  • Surge kit + free flood light
  • Surge kit + free battery
  • Surge kit + free right angle drill/driver
  • Surge kit + free Hackzall saw
  • Surge kit + free 3/8″ ratchet

Milwaukee M12 Fuel Hackzall Saw Kit + Free Tool Bundle

Milwaukee M12 Fuel Hackzall Saw and Ratchet Bundle

In a similar sense, there’s also a couple of Milwaukee M12 Fuel Hackzall compact reciprocating saw and free bonus tool bundle options.

Any of the $179 saw kit + bonus tool bundles are fair game as selectable prizes.

  • Hackzall kit + free oscillating multi-tool
  • Hackzall kit + free flood light
  • Hackzall kit + free battery
  • Hackzall kit + free right angle drill/driver
  • Hackzall kit + free Hackzall saw
  • Hackzall kit + free 3/8″ ratchet

Milwaukee M12 Bluetooth Speaker and Starter Kit Bundle

Milwaukee M12 Bluetooth Radio Bundle

Wait a second, is this the new Milwaukee M12 Bluetooth radio that they just came out with? Yup!

The bare tool is typically $119, and this special bundle is $179. Two XC batteries and a charger for $60 more than then bare tool seems like a good deal, especially for a new Bluetooth radio that’s unlikely to be discounted anytime soon.

I like this deal, as it seems like an “I really want that but I don’t want to actually buy it for myself” kind of product. Know what I mean? If you win and choose this as your prize, we’ll buy it for you!

Giveaway Rules

The Prize: The winner will choose (1) Milwaukee M12 cordless power tool package of their choice, from the 5 listed.

In the case of the M12 Fuel Surge or Hackzall bundles, there’s the flexibility for you to choose like-valued bundles with your choice of bonus tool.

Winner Selection: There will be (1) winner selected at random.

Prize Fulfillment: For the sake of expediency and because some tools have different home delivery, in-store pickup, or curbside pick-up options, the prize will actually be a Home Depot gift card for the value of the selected prize plus 10% to cover taxes.

ToolGuyd will purchase the gift card to be sent to the winner via email.

Once the winner is selected and contacted, they will be given 24 hours to confirm their email address.

Entry Details: Leave a comment telling us which of these Milwaukee combo kits you’d want to win, and why. (Example entry is below.)

Be sure to fill out the comment form with a real email address, as that’s how the winner will be contacted.

Entry Period Ends: Friday 9/4/2020 at 11:59pm ET.

Thank You to…

You guys. Hopefully this is a good way for me and ToolGuyd to give back to you. If not, I’m open to ideas. This seemed like a win-win-win idea.

Our current sponsorship with Home Depot helped make this possible, but this giveaway is not a part of that agreement.

Bonus Prize Opportunity

Take a look at Home Depot’s Labor Day 2020 power tool and hand tool promo pages, links just below. Do any of these other tool deals strike your fancy? Tell us about which other tool deal might interest you, or which might land in your shopping list, for a chance to win a $50 gift card.

(This will also give me ideas for another giveaway later in the week!)

More Home Depot Labor Day Savings: Power Tools | Hand Tools

There will be (1) $50 gift card winner, and then (1) added winner for every (150) entries, for up to (5) winners. Same rules and deadline apply as above.

(1) entry per person

Update: If you must, “replying” to your original comment/entry is acceptable.

Example Entry

I’d love to win the Milwaukee M12 Rocket LED light bundle, since it looks highly portable and compact enough for use in smaller work spaces (such as the attics I work in). I’ve been meaning to replace my old halogen light, which is heavy and runs really hot, and could use the second battery in my much-loved M12 band saw.

For the bonus, I’d use it to upgrade my wrench set with the Milwaukee 15pc combination wrench and 4pc hook and pick set bundle. I was going to wait until Black Friday, but this deal seems too good to pass up, and a $50 gift card would seal the deal!

I’d love to win the Milwaukee M12 Fuel Hackzall compact reciprocating saw and free bonus tool bundle. I’d go with the multi tool. My wife and I just bought our first house and were given many corded generic named tools and are slowly building our kit. Still early enough in the process that I haven’t decided on a system yet.

For me, the M12 Fuel Surge kit with the 3/8″ ratchet bonus tool would give me the opportunity to be more considerate of the neighboring residents when I work in the condos and apartment units that are really prevalent down here in Florida. The 3/8″ ratchet would come in handy for quick assembly/disassembly tasks where an impact is overkill.

For the bonus, I’m going to go with an oddball. I would go with the Milwaukee bolt cutter combo (30″ + 18″). Bolt cutters are a must-have for shark fishing, so these would be more for down-time as opposed to work.

I built some cedar raised planters with my son during lockdown, turned out great and was fun for both us, and now I have some more father son plans for the winter season, job would be so much easier with an impact and the surge technology would be super rad to try out, not to mention easier on the ears.

I would select the M12 Fuel Surge impact kit with the bonus M12 flood light. I have used the M18 surge and the lighter weight M12 kit would make a huge difference to how my body feels at the end of a long day of installing steel roofing. The surge lowers noise and this is huge when your working on steel all day. The M12 flood light would be fantastic in tight attics while installing insulation. It can just clamp onto the rafters or trusses and would simplify my setup tremendously.

As for the bonus, the extra $50 would go towards the Milwaukee 1/4” socket set that’s a special buy right now. The ratchet design looks very similar to tool truck brands and I’ve been wanting to give the Milwaukee hand tools a try. I could use an extra set of sockets in the shop and the $50 would push me over the top!

To answer the question, I would go with the M12 Surge + OMT. I love my M18 impact driver, but being able to reduce the noise to others in the house would allow me to keep making progress after the kids’ bedtime, and would allow me to work in closer proximity to others without everyone needing hearing protection. The OMT I would get as my current OMT is corded, and so this would fill a gap in my collection.

For the bonus prize, I think I would get the Milwaukee Bolt Cutters. I’ve had fantastic success with vertical gardening this season by installing arched cattle panels from raised garden beds (butternut squash, pumpkins, cucumbers and even tomatoes have all done really well). But my raised garden beds require cutting down the cattle panels, and it would be nice to be able to make quick adjustments without dragging out the cord for my angle grinder every time.

Having said that, I got the opportunity to test out several of these tools during a previous giveaway when Stuart generously sent me some M12 tools to try out. Our understanding was that any I couldn’t use would be passed along to a local aviation maintenance school.

Of those listed above, I got to try out the FUEL brushless hackzall, the ratchet, and the Rover light.

The FUEL hackzall was amazing. The same speed as my brushed M18 version, with only a slightly smaller stroke in a much more compact package. The M12 easily fit between standard spaced studs (16″ on center), which the M18 just barely cannot do. It also stopped instantly when the trigger was released, which I really liked in a one handed reciprocating saw. I gave it away (as I already have an M18 hackzall), but the tool itself is fantastic.

The 3/8″ ratchet also really impressed me. I didn’t expect to like it, but it ended up being the only non-light that I kept. I found myself in an alternator change doing something that felt like it needed three hands, and the ability to just squeeze the ratchet one handed (without needing to get my other hand on a knurled extension while ratcheting) was a game-changer.

The M12 rover light was also one that I kept. The magnetic base and integrated clamp give lots of mounting options, and the 1000 lumen output works well. I’ve been doing a bunch of Zoom/WebEx meetins, and that little light work really well as a fill/background light. You have to tweak the webcam settings to get it to record at a frame rate in multiples of 50 to avoid frame flickering, but it’s just a really versatile little light.

All that to say, there are some great options in this giveaway, and some tough decisions to make.

I would love the M12 tower light. I have just recently joined the M12 platform and would like to have something that will not only expand my existing tool line but add light to my one light fixture garage. This would be perfect! Thanks ToolGuyd!!

For my extra entry I am also looking at adding the Milwaukee M12 inflator. I know it is above the $50 but from the reviews I’ve read it’s worth it.

I have always liked the idea of the rocket lights. I think they could be helpful when doing body work on my truck. Also love the 4.0 batteries, they last forever in my m12 stubby. For the bonus, I need a new blower to replace my pitiful Ryobi and the Dewalt with battery and charger looks like a great deal.

I would like the Milwaukee M12 FUEL SURGE 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/4 in. Hex Impact Driver Compact Kit w/ Free M12 3/8 in. Ratchet. There have been so many good reviews given for the M12 Surge Impact driver plus I would like to have a quieter impact driver. This would be a great combo to get me into the M12 ecosystem and I don’t have a cordless electric ratchet.

For the bonus, I would be interested in the Milwaukee Screwdriver Set (6 piece) and the Dewalt 3/8 in. Drive Combination Deep Impact Socket Set with Ratchet (23-Piece). I would like to replace some Craftsman acetate handle screwdrivers because I hate the smell when you open the tool box drawer. I don’t have an impact socket set to use with my impact drivers.

For the bonus, I’d choose the GEARWRENCH SAE/Metric Stubby Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set (14-Piece). When you need a stubby wrench, you NEED a stubby wrench — not a lot of torque necessarily. I would love to win the Milwaukee M12 Fuel Hammer Drill, Impact Driver, Hackzall Saw Kit Bundle. I’ve been a Ridgid guy for as long as I can remember. But the one complaint I have is that they’re a little too heavy. Not specifically for me (yeah, right?) but for my 8 year old daughter. She loves building things with me – we just finished building her a desk for distance learning, and she couldn’t have been more proud of having “built my own desk!” The M12 line would be perfect for her small hands – light weight and easy to handle without Dad having to always help her hold the drill.

I only have one of the larger M12 batteries to use with numerous M12 tools that I own, including a fuel drill and impact driver, inflator, 3/8″ ratchet, and more! I work at remote job sites that do not always have power so the increased run time and some better quality tunes would be great! I would like to own the Milwaukee M12 Rocket LED Worklight Kit Bundle. As a believer in minimizing battery platforms while maximizing the investment in my battery platform across a manufacturers lineup, I’ve grown my tool collection; beginning with a Makita (white) Drill/driver and impact driver combo to now over 50 makita cordless tools. In the last few years, I’ve watched Milwaukee really grow their lineups and offer tools that Makita doesn’t, as an example a cordless Heat Gun. Same with dewalt and of course Ryobi.

I’ve resisted, for purposes of minimizing battery management, getting heavily invoked in other manufacturers lineups; but recently came across 3D printed battery adapters that allow me to use a Ryobi cordless compressor with my existing Makita battery platform. I’ve done the same with the Ryobi Heat Gun and belt sander. And while I could continue doing this with some tools, not all tools are designed to allow (enclosed battery compartments as one example) for an adapter and inevitably I’m missing out on great offerings.

So winning this set would a) allow me to expand/gain entry into a tool lineup I’m not invested in today, b) give me access to a tool (lighting tower) which I don’t have c) provide me with a cordless lighting solution for the corner of my garage where I don’t have overheads and is wasted space.

I would love to have any of these bundles, but if I were to choose one it would be the Milwaukee M12 Fuel Hammer Drill, Impact Driver, Hackzall Saw Kit Bundle. After years of working out of a too small storage closet, construction on my new garage is wrapping up within the next two weeks. I will finally have some room to work with, and I am beyond excited about building my new workbench, storage shelves, tool organizers, and whatever else I can dream up. This set would be a huge upgrade over the tools I have now and would help make these projects much easier. On top of that, my toddler loves to steal my tools and run around with them, so I’m sure he would love some nice new red ones to run around with!

With a bonus $50, I would add the Milwakuee Shockwave Impact Duty driver set and drill bit set to my cart to go with my new tools.

I always avoided it because I liked having one set of batteries for all my cordless tools, but Milwaukee has so many good M12 tools that don’t have an M18 counterpart, or are a lot more compact, that I might have to bite the bullet. Winning a couple would be a great way to get started though.

The Surge + 3/8″ ratchet combo would be ideal for me. I work in HVAC service and install. Having the small form factor M12 kit would be great when I’m working on rooftop units where I don’t have a ton of access space. Less weight would be especially nice when I need to go up an inside ladder way. Not having to carry multiple large 18/20V tools will save a ton of effort, and would probably be safer, when you’re climbing a ladder and pulling a tool bag tied to a rope behind you. I have an M12 inspection scope, so a kit that works with what I already have would be extra convenient.

Its hard to get into m12 but if it had to the rachet is about the only thing I’d NEED for home use. Also most of the fasteners I work on arnt 1500+ in lbs worthy so the size of the smaller tool is great! I’ve been a Milwaukee fan for quite a few years now. After giving away all my older non-fuel tools to friends and buying most of the stuff on display, I would like to be picked for the radio since I haven’t bought one yet.
I have to justify my tool purchases and a radio is still a want instead of a need.

As a devout Ryobi owner, I’ve found myself in many situations where a more compact or sony better suited tool would save time by avoiding the need to fall back to a hand tool. The right angle socket wrench would fit in so many places neither of the Ryobi socket drivers would, and the Surge, whole derived from a Ryobi product initially, makes a much more practical, general purpose impact driver.

More and more Im eyeing those rocket lights. Between working out side after dark and working in customers dim garages it makes sense to have a light that’s self suspended several feet off the ground.

As far as the labor day sale goes, the Milwaukee big hawg hole saws look like the best thing available.

I’d have to go with the drill, driver and hackzall as a great all around kit. I need something for tight spaces around the house and the hackzall woul be great to prune the darn Tree limbs covering our front window.

Bonus: I really need to re-up my impact and drill bits and there are some really good deals on these right now. Escpecially with all these picture frames the wife has been wanting me to put up. I’d use the $50 on that.

I’d really like the Surge Kit with the 3/8″ ratchet, the Surge would be good for doing up fasteners inside cars, or buildings with as little extra noise as possible, and who doesn’t love protecting their hearing. I’ve been eyeing the 3/8″ ratchet for a couple of years, and I’ve gotten more of a useful need for it compared to previous years.

Honestly, your own idea about the M12 Rocket LED Worklight Bundle would be my top choice. I don’t have any lights that can freestand like that one and I’m constantly jerry-rigging something to get light on a project. Love that it can be corded or cordless.

For s $50 prize I’d probably pick one of those Bessey K body clamps. Probably the 18″ 3-3/4″ one – always wanted to try them myself but can’t justify the cost! https://www.homedepot.com/p/BESSEY-K-BODY-REVOlution-KRE-18-in-Parallel-Clamp-3-3-4-in-Throat-Depth-KRE3518/304783492

I’d love to win the m12 Surge!!! I’ve had the opportunity to use it a few times on job sites before. It is light, but feels more like an m18. The only drill I have right now is a bulky 20v DeWalt. That is a little large for most side jobs/around the house work. This would greatly help me!

I would love to get my hands on the M12 Surge Hydraulic Impact Driver bundle. Ever since getting an older M18 impact driver, I rarely drive screws or fasteners with a cordless drill. We live in an old home and I am constantly fixing stuff; the smaller size would make it easier to get in tight places and carry around, and the quieter driving would be a huge plus when trying to work in one area of the house while babies are sleeping in another area. While the bundle with the ratchet is tempting, I actually would get way more use out of the bundle with the M12 floodlight. That light seems to be about the perfect size and shape to use all the time when fixing things in attics, repairing cars, or working in unlit spaces.

For the bonus, I would probably go for the Milwaukee wet/dry vac. Not having a wet/dry vac has been a challenge when we’ve had water lines burst or large leaks; cleanup is so much harder with towels, mops, and brooms.

The drill/driver would be great when working on a ladder because I’m sure they’re a lot lighter than my 18-volt tools.

For the bonus, I think I’d go for the Husky 13-piece flex-head ratcheting wrench set. I’ve wanted some flex-head wrenches for a while, and I love that this set doesn’t skip any sizes (except 20mm, but I’ve never encountered a 20mm fastener, nor do I currently own any tools that size).

I would love to get the M12 batteries and rocket light. I was literally down at home depot yesterday seeing if they would honor the online price in store. Anyways, I was looking at the rocket light because it was the biggest savings. The batteries were what I was wanting since I have about 15 1.5AH batteries, one 2ah and one 3ah. But I do often work on my truck late, or am out in the dark trying to get that last coat of finish on a project or about a dozen other things that would be really nice to have the M12 Rocket light for. I do also have the M12 installation driver with the free rover light in my cart a well. I’ve been looking to get the driver for a while and you just can’t have too many lights while working at night. And frankly you’d think I would have learned my lesson after cutting my hand with it, but I haven’t yet. I’d probably also use it as my go to for pruning branches on some of my trees.

For the bonus I’d probably put the $50 towards the M12 inflator deal that HD has going on. I keep killing the cigarette plug in type inflators. When my current one dies I’m probably going to try a direct to battery with clamps style one. Cordless would but a much nicer proposition.

    Thank you Stuart.

If chosen I would pick the Surge and Ratchet combo deal first – because I’m interested in both tool types. But specifically I would want to try out the ratchet in a prolonged use. I work on cars as a hobby and I do not like air ratchets but I’ve been intrigued to buy one of the various cordless ones. So I would love to do a full task like replacing an alternator with the cordless ratchet to see how well I like it. I have high hopes. I’ve not bought any of them because there are always other things I need/want more.

Meanwhile I am nearly as interested in the hackzall promo as I do see benefit in that smaller motorized hackzall but again I would pair with that ratchet as mentioned above.

Finally of the home depot deal there is a deal on the dewalt improved 20V blower and another deal for the Flexvolt Circular saw that has my eye But I was planning on waiting until later due to other expenses.

Who wouldn’t love a free Milwaukee tool! As for selection, I have many of their tools already, but I do not have the Bluetooth radio M12 kit… I could put that to use immediately around the house or even when kicking back with a cold beverage during non-work time. Really cool!

As for bonus, gee, almost anything. Anything Milwaukee will always get put to use… I go through blade, bits, batteries, etc… M18 or M12…. I guess I dont mind being surprised if that is an option.. I don’t have any yellow or blue cordless tools, so those wouldnt be much use.
For the bonus, I’d use it to upgrade my wrench set with the Milwaukee 15pc combination wrench and 4pc hook and pick set bundle. I was going to wait until Black Friday, but this deal seems too good to pass up, and a $50 gift card would seal the deal!

I’d love to win the Milwaukee M12 Rocket light bundle. Keep hearing good things about it and definitely have a couple uses for it. Love to get some more light in the garage or use it for the family when the power goes out to play board games and try it out camping with the friends!

For the bonus, I’d actually think about the M18 Brushless kit with hammer drill and circular saw. My house has stucco so trying to drill through it to run wires is tough. Hammer drill would make quick work of that. Also been wanting to upgrade and go cordless for my circular saw finally!

I love the M12 Fuel tools I already have (hammer drill and impact driver) so I’d be thrilled to win a bundle I could give to my Brother-in-law who is trying to build up his tool kit and has been using a Dewalt 18V Ni-Cad drill (I’m pretty sure Noah used Dewalt Ni-Cad stuff to put his Ark together) and a worn-down Bosch impact driver he found left in the trash. He and my sister are absolute wizards at refinishing and fixing up discarded furniture, reusing things in creative ways, and crafting compelling art pieces out of recycled materials . I’d love to see what they could do with some proper tools!

I’ve had my eye on the Milwaukee M12 Rocket LED light bundle for a while. It would be great for all of the home improvement projects I have on my todo list! It would be a great replacement for my current home made stand with 4 light bulbs. It’s super hot to be around, top heavy and worse than all that has a cord! This combo would be great with my M12 hammer drills, impact driver and saws to make sure they are always ready to go!

For the bonus, I’d use it to upgrade a few basics – the handle on my old Kobalt screwdrivers are all getting soft and sticky (almost melted) so a nice set of Milwaukee screwdrivers would be first. Then I think a few tape measures because you can’t ever have too many. Finally a few packs of INKZALL’s would be nice – now I can never figure out which one of my kids is stealing my sharpies – this would make them easy to track down!

Its funny that I come across this post the day after I just helped a neighbor change his master cylinder on his truck. We started at 6pm and even during summer, the day turned quickly to night in just 2 hours.

Well bleeding brakes in the darkness of night with just crummy little hand lights just isn’t fun. Plus they take up a hand when you really need two for working.

I was kicking myself for not buying the M12 tower light last time I saw it go on sale and mentioned it to my neighbor. It would have been the perfect light for the application as his truck is pretty high off the ground and would have been easy enough to move to each wheel well to bleed each caliper.

Oooh. I would use the Hammer Drill, Impact Driver, Hackzall Saw Kit Bundle, that seems like three most-common cordless tools in one kit. In a way, that makes it the perfect gateway drug (in a good way) for the M12 Platform, and to replace my aging 18V stuff with 12V, for lighter weight, greater portability, and of course, the ever-expanding Red line of nifty stuff.
For the bonus, I would likely get the HoleDozer hole saw kit: my old set is showing its age, and I never seem to have the right sizes anymore. And, I guess, if I won a hammer drill, I would need some hammer drill bits…

The M12 set is main set. With that being said it’s hard to choose what I take.

I have the 1/4″ impact and hammer drill… but it’s not fuel. I don’t use the sets the frequently, so what I have works for now. I also have that saw.

The light seems awesome. I just don’t know if I need it, as I have the 2353-20 Spot Light.

    The batteries would be nice.

As would the radio too. I just don’t use the radio that often when I’m working with the tools (mostly side electrical jobs, nothing major, so I’m in and out.).

I do love the fact that it’s also a charger though.

So that leaves the Surge impact and ratchet. I have the ratchet at work. It’s awesome. It was actually my tool I brought there and use almost daily. So to have one at home would be ideal. I am really curious about that Surge impact. So all in all, I would go with that.

As far as the bonus tool I’d get. The one thing I need, are non-crappy holes saws. The Milwaukee set is on sale, and that would be a great travel set.

I recently got into the M18 Fuel system after graduating high school, due to the generosity of a friend. I love it, and I like the way Milwaukee innovates and how they design a lot of their tools. If possible, I’d like to get the M12 Fuel Surge kit with the extra battery. I have the M18 Surge, and love the technology. I would likely give the driver to my brother, and the extra batteries would allow for expansion into the M12 system. The $50 gift card would go partly towards a Milwaukee Magnetic Wide Blade tape, because I like the feel much more than a FatMax , but they are a bit pricey to get “just because.” The other part of the gift card would go towards reciprocating saw blades for me and bits for my brother’s new Surge. =) Thanks for the opportunity, and I hope I get a chance to win!

I’d take the drill, impact, and hackzall kit. I’m starting out in my plumbing career, and that kit would be the most useful.

As for the card, I’d probably put it towards a few Ridgid pipe wrenches.

I would love to have M12 Surge kit. I need to finish resembling the front suspension for my Taylor Dunn electric truck. Both tools would substantiate my effort comparing to their manual equivalents. I do have a teal 18v impact driver which worked very well for many years. However m12 class tools seem to be the half it its size which must be nice for an automotive type of situation

The bluetooth speaker and starter kit bundle would be great. My old m12 milwaukee speaker has been going strong for a few years now as my garage companion when working on my cars. Unfortunately, my wife discovered how good it sounds and now I spend just as much time looking for it around the house as I do trying to find a 10mm socket.

The $50 bonus would most likely go towards a small socket set, you can never have too many and the new milwaukee kits are tempting.

I’d really like the M12 Rocket LED Worklight. Often I’ll be using headlamps and flashlights for the work I do, but would be nice for shared workspace or just to free myself of strapping something on my head.

The bonus item I was eyeing was the Husky SAE/MM Ratcheting Reversible Combination Wrench Set. Seems like a more affordable entry for me (especially if I won a gift card) to a set of these wrenches. Could see trying to upgrade most often used wrench in a set to a Wera Joker should I like the use more than adjustable wrenches.

I would love to get the Surge impact kit with bonus light. My 2 year old loves to help me with projects, but hates the noise from my current impact driver, having something quieter would let him work with me more often, and it would eventually become his. When I’m working on projects I never seem to have an outlet close enough for my current lighting, so the bonus light would be fantastic!

For the bonus entry. More clamps! I’ve been looking at the Bessy clamps for a while as I do some larger glue ups, but I haven’t NEEDED them yet, but for the low low price of free, I would definitely pick them up.

The Rocket light kit would be sweet – yes, for all of the shop and diy tasks, but two very other important roles – photo light and camp light! A self-supported light when unloading the trailer, cooking, etc, would be a godsend; having a self-supporting light to add a bit of illumination when making videos of projects like my X-Carve cutting for my Scouts would be a huge help, too. Add in it uses teh same power as my heated hoody, it’s a slam dunk.

Now, it is certainly the rocket light. The power went out with a big storm recently, and I ate up all the batteries in my dewalt lights. For me, the Hackzall kit + free right angle drill/driver would be nothing short of perfection. Open my tool bag and you’ll find yellow and black in every compartment. I’ve always heard great things about Milwaukee but have never seriously considered the brand due to the battery system dilemma. Being able to have a kit of 2 tools I don’t otherwise have (I do have a recip saw, but it’s an old model that’s large and bulky, and in terms of performance leaves something to be desired) is ju st the answer. The right amgle drill/driver is desperately needed for auto repair work I’m always doing. I have a right ane attachment, but it requires yku to hol ld the end of the extension to prevent it from flailing all about. Losing a free hand can truly be detrimental at times! I would choose the M12 Rocket Work light bundle. I was an early adopter of the M12 line back when it first premiered, and have slowly grown my collection over the years … barring a couple of failures which could be just as much contributed to my own misuse as to the tool’s quality, they have served me phenomenally well. To that end, I have actually not even had the true need to even upgrade any of them to the more modern variations (Red, Fuel, Surge, etc). But the one tool I have not gotten in that collection is the light, and the dual-power functionality really strikes me as handy!

I am torn between the Rocket Light and the impact driver with bonus ratchet. Have mostly Bosch at home and their lights are good but I haven’t seen them come out with a tripod-mounted light yet. Only the ones that sit on the floor and fire upwards from there. Would save time versus looking for a good hanging spot for the Bosch, sometimes not possible.

The impact driver is an excuse to get ahold of that 3/8 ratchet. Always wanted to try one and paddle seems like it would be easier to use versus a switch.

For the bonus I would likely pick up a 3/8 impact socket set. Most of the Milwaukee battery bundles seemed a bit over the bonus threshold.

This light will also allow me to work on my race cars both at and off the race track. I am constantly fiddling with brake components in the wheel wells, so having a light on that can stand on its own and light up the wheel well would be epic, especially a battery powered light for when there are no electrical outlets around (like at a race track paddock).

I would go for the Rocket LED light. I have heard you say good things about them, and haven’t personally tried any, but I can see it being useful for some car camping, and out door backyard events. I could also see many uses for the Hackzall and try out the ratchet or right angle drill with it.

For the bonus, I think I would grab a small pile of Bessey clamps – seems like a good price, and I need 3 or 4 more of the 36″ ones.

Definitely the Drill, Impact Driver and Hackzall Bundle as a gift for my brother’s new home. I own quite a few of the M18 line and feel they are overkill for many of the home projects I do around the house. The size and portability of the M12 line seems to be the perfect fit and a great gift.

Long time reader, really enjoy the content here!

The M12 rocket light combo would definitely make my life easier. I always seem to end up working in barely lit basements. I am already invested in the M12 line so this is a perfect compliment. I am getting tired of using headlamps, the light just doesn’t ever seem to be in the right place. I honestly end up holding a small light 1/2 in my hand and half pushed up against a joist or wall. I would say I hold a small flashlight in my teeth sometimes, but that is obviously a no-no for at least 2020.

I’d be super satisfied if I won the m12 surge impact with the ratchet. I’ve already got the M12 Fuel impact driver so I know that the surge can only be better than a tool I already love. The true bonus would be giving my apprentice my Fuel impact driver making him more productive (and happier).

I would love to win the Milwaukee M12 Surge kit and M12 Hackzall for home and car repairs before Fall brings us rain from you and Home Depot, my store of choice. Thank you for this opportunity and Happy Labor Day!

The M12 Surge will be perfect for getting my car back on the road, which includes a complete brake change, fuel flush, head gasket, etc.; I’ve heard the Surge is a beast and will have no issues unseizing frozen/rusted bolts and nuts, and will make a difficult job into an easily tackleable challenge. The compact size is ideal for engine bays. The form-factor, multiple drive modes and hydraulic action also will make working underneath the car easier, as overhead tasks are harder for me with back injuries from a hit-and-run. Having my vehicle running again will be life-changing. With three wooden gates and a white picket fence that I will be building for my mother soon, I’d like to see how it handles a project normally reserved for the M18 tools, as well.

Last year I purchased the M12 Hackzall from Home Depot as a gift for a loved one (thank you for the deal). I had an opportunity to use the reciprocating handsaw, combined with 6 amp batteries and Diablo pruning blades and it was all I need to trim and thin three 20′ tall fruit trees, with branches varying up to 4 inches. A chainsaw with fumes, oil, nor neighborhood-disturbing noise wasn’t necessary (although would have obviously been faster on larger cuts). Because the Milwaukee Hackzall allows a free hand to safely hold onto the tree, the low maintenance compared to a gas tool, and the increased safety of operation compared to a chainsaw (especially in a tree), I have been recommending the Hackzall to average home owners for gardening and tree maintenance, as well as to landscapers, and those with physical impairments. I would love to permanently add one to my tool bag.

Thank you for this opportunity and hope you and all those hard workers have an amazing Labor Day weekend,
    David

For clarification: I purchased, used and recommend the Fuel Hackzall for pruning, although the standard version should be adequate for lighter home trimming of the yard.

As for what other deals to look out for, I’m looking for a garden utility cart to move large rocks and flower pots around. Hopefully we see some Black Friday deals online for them as I missed out last year.

Another revisit on your damaged Gorilla Cart would be of interest.

I will be doing window recaulking this Fall as well, so I’ve been eyeing all the battery powered versions, too. I believe Ridgid has a new model and would like to see how it compares to the M12 caulk gun. Although I have some Dewalt 20V XR batteries, I did not consider their model as it doesn’t offer interchangeable 10 oz/quart heads. The Ridgid is priced fair enough to jump on even without owning batteries for the platform and 10 oz tubes will probably be what most DIYer’s look for when handling a repair instead of hiring a professional. A comparison of the M12 caulk gun vs Ridgid’s new one would be interesting to read.

      Have a great weekend!

I’ve been eyeing the sawzall and ratchet combo for my brother, who is disabled and lives with my mom who has her own health issues. We don’t live super close. They help take care of each other, and he is always working on his car (14 year old Honda) for one thing or another. It’s been too risky for my mom to shop with COVID risk and my brother has really stepped up and stretched himself to make sure my mom is taken care of. My brother doesn’t have a lot of tools. Planning to get this set and maybe the 3/8 impact wrench for him. He’s doing more of his own car work now and it’s important for him to have tools he can count on.

I’ll probably get it for him anyway if I don’t win, but it would sure help out our finances to have one less thing to buy for Christmas! The brilliance of these (and really all good tools) is that they work so well, they allow you to kind of ignore them and completely focus on the task at hand.

I’d like the fuel surge impact with a cordless ratchet. Being able to work on my model AA or other vehicles with a cordless ratchet in tight spots would be super handy.

Bonus entry. A more precise miter saw like the dewalt would be on my radar. I have the Bosch glide now but it isn’t accurate enough for my finer woodworking needs.

I’ve been holding out on commuting to the m12 batteries, a Surge driver and ratchet would tip the scales. I would have to buy in to keep them from getting lonely.

I would love to have the M12 rocket kit! I have been doing landscaping in the yard and the sun is setting sooner so the light would be infinitely useful. It would give me and extra hour of work/cleanup every night.

As for the bonus… Same idea a m18 radius kit looks nice. Love the portability.

I could use the M12 FUEL Brushless Cordless Hammer Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit (2-Tool)W/ Free M12 HACKZALL – I have the M18 and they are great but a bit too large or cumbersome for some jobs around the house or a quick fix & repair for friends.

Bonus tool/entry? The M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Bluetooth/AM/FM Jobsite Radio Kit W/ Two 4.0 Ah Batteries , Charger & Tool Bag. My last Bluetooth speaker just died last week and I have no music while working!

I’d love to win the M12 Rocket light and battery starter kit! If I had the rocket light, I’d use it to unwind from a long day of working hard with my M12 tools and go fishing by the lake after dark! I work hard with my Milwaukee tools, so it would be poetic to get to play hard with them too!

For the bonus, I’d use the gift card to buy even more lighting, because why stop at one light when you can have two?!

I would love to win the speaker and starter kit set, because work always goes faster with music–and it’s probably the only M12 tool I don’t already have haha

Bonus: I’d use the gift card for saw blades, because a person who invests in Milwaukee tools like me is also the type of person who goes through a lot of saw blades!!!

Years ago the Milwaukee M12 tools moved me over to their platform and have some of the early generation M12 and M18 drivers/drills. I’d love to get the M12 FUEL Surge driver in my kit and enjoy the upgrade in power, sound and portability. I usually have the right tools for the job but using them in occupied spaces can be challenging. I’m excited for the advantage of the Surge driver for customer satisfaction (and my ears too).

The bonus ratchets would be a great addition to my growing tool set that has been handed down to me from my father.

Would love to win the work light bundle. I have many battery powered lights over the years, flashlights, headlamps, caplights, eyeglass lights, lights with hook/clip/magnet/clamp/suction cup/bendable/snake/coil/cord/chain/ring…yet I found quite often that I do not have the suitable “surface” to attach the light that I happen to have in hand. If I have a light with magnet, I found no metal. If I have a light with a clamp, I found nothing to clamp to. One would argue that my head is always there. This is true (literally speaking). But it is not necessary always available. Quite often that space is occupied by face shield, or by religion symbol (j/k)The ground, on the other hand will always be there. A tripod light is like asking my significant other holding the light, minus the accompany instructions, safety reminders, improvement suggestions. It’s escape me why I have yet own a tripod light. I don’t just like it, I neeeed it! Give it to me!

Almost forgot to submit my entry, it’s been busy the last few days and I kept putting off sitting down and typing out a response!

I would be thrilled to add the M12 Rocket Light to my complement of tools. I invested in the M12 set Black Friday 2018 and have loved the system. The Rocket light would be great because it would fit inside my truck tool box instead of the size of the bigger 18/20V lights.

For a bonus entry, of the current sales, I’d be interested trying out the Bessey K clamps or the larger electricians holes saw kit.

Thanks for the opportunity to enter this giveaway!!
