Deal: Custom Milwaukee M12 Combo Kit with Free Batteries and Charger

Create Your Own Milwaukee M12 Kit Promo

Somebody at Milwaukee came up with a brilliant idea – why not give users the opportunity to create their own custom tool kits?! A couple of independent Milwaukee dealers are participating in the promo, and it seems like a really good way to save some money.

The basic idea of the promo is outlined in the following chart.

Custom Milwaukee M12 Combo Kit Details

Buy any of the bare Milwaukee M12 cordless tools in Group A, and you get a free 2.0Ah Li-ion battery pack.

Buy any of the bare Milwaukee M12 cordless tools in Group B, and you get a free 4.0Ah Li-ion battery pack.

Buy (1) bare tool from Group A, and (1) from Group B, to create your custom combo kit, and you get two free batteries, a charger, and a tool bag.

Some of Home Depot’s Milwaukee tool promos suggests they are participating in the first part of this promo, explaining why they’ve bundled a lot of bare tools with free battery packs but no chargers, but they don’t seem to be participating in the A + B custom combo kit part of the promo.

Ohio Power Tool, and possibly other independent dealers are offering the full promo.

I wasn’t kidding when I said I thought this was a brilliant promo. Buying the two bare tools of your choice and getting everything you need to turn it into a kit means you get the tools you want, but with the cost savings that brands typically only offer with complete kits. What’s not to like?

If you buy some new M12 tools as part of this offer, which ones did you pick and pair from Groups A and B?

this is a great deal, just picked up the band saw. toolup.com has an additional 25 dollars off of 100 that stacked for me, making it a really good deal, enter “milfriday25” at check out. i dont know if they are doing the same promo with getting the bag and charger, but seems all the bare tools are coming with a free battery promo. also free shipping over 199

Yeah a great idea in concept because most premade kits includes drills and drivers and how many of those does someone really need?
Unfortunately the oscillating multi-tool is nowhere to be found on that list, and since my custom combo was to be an M12 fuel impact driver and the multi-tool, I had to patch it together with the free battery offer from HD with the bare tool driver and a refurb multi-tool kit. It ends up being a pretty good deal… $190 iirc.

BTW for those with a bit of patience, you can buy discounted (usually 10%) HD gift cards from some online clearing houses, and then have that extra 10% saving on your purchase.

Yeah it really depends what you want. Im interested in the Fuel screwdriver and hammer drill. The problem is I wanted a 4Ah battery pack but this promo only gives either of those items a free 2Ah battery pack. First world issues, I guess!

In case anyone is wondering, the best deal to get a 4Ah pack seems to be the copper cutter….its only 99.00 and qualifies you for the free 4Ah pack.

MUST RESIST getting sucked into the M12 world! Must Resist…. (Note: I’m only resisting because I’m deep into the Bosch 12v platform, and looking forward to the brushless impact…. Bosch: Take note, it IS becoming very difficult to resist…)

I have a bunch of PS20 and a PS40, but since they dragged their feet for so long and I needed to upgrade my PS40, I jumped ship to M12. Will sell my Bosch stuffs, I really liked them but the PS40 was so underpowered and I couldnt see spending the same amount on a PS41 as I did my M12 Fuel hex impact driver

Picked up the 1/4″ ratchet, I was already looking to buy it from home depot within the next 2 weeks. The free battery made it a no brainer to get it from CPO.

    God, I am such a whore….

Got the 3/8″ fuel impact wrench w/ free 2Ah battery and M12 Fuel Hackzall w/ 4.0Ah battery from cpo.

Got the m12 Fuel SDS Rotary Hammer kit from toolup using their $25 off coupon.

Then went to Home Depot and got the 1/4″ impact w/ a free 2Ah.

    I may need an intervention.

This deal, along with the expired home depot $99 drill/impact driver +xc pack, seems to be evaporating. Only place I can find that seems to be still offering this is toolbarn.
