I was wrapping up my Ridgid Pro tool box combo deal post when I somehow found myself staring at a deal on Milwaukee’s M12 drill/driver kit. For a limited time, probably expiring on or before Father’s Day or when supplies run out, they’re offering an M12 drill kit and Bluetooth speaker for just $129.
Milwaukee’s M12 Bluetooth speaker is normally priced at $69, and so you’re saving about $40 (at the least) with this deal.

I’ve posted about the 2407-22 drill/driver kit before, and think it’s a great value. When on sale, you get the drill/driver, (2) M12 batteries, a charger, and a carrying case for $99. When not on sale, the drill kit’s normal price is $129, at least at Home Depot.
I’ve been testing the Bluetooth speaker, and it’s a neat little gadget. It doesn’t deliver the same quality of sound as bigger and better cordless power tool radio systems, but it’s decent. It’s also quick and easy to use, not to mention compact and durable.
After the initial Bluetooth pairing, which is easy thanks to instructions on the bottom of the speaker, it’s quick to connect to your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled tablet or device.
This seems to be a great deal, whether you’re buying for yourself or someone else. The promo pricing will probably expire on or before Father’s Day, unless supplies run out sooner.

And if don’t want to spend extra on a Bluetooth speaker that you might not want or need, the drill/driver kit is back on sale for $99.

Oh, but you don’t need a new 12V-class drill? What about an impact driver? Milwaukee’s M12 2462-22 impact driver kit is also on sale for $99.
There’s no expiration date shown for the drill and speaker bundle kit, or the drill kit itself, but the impact kit is said to be $99 thru 7/30/2015. The impact driver kit is an online-only promo.

If you want more background on the drill/driver and impact driver deals, check out a similar deal post from November 2013. It seems that it can be expected for Milwaukee and Home Depot to put these kits on sale during winter holiday and Father’s Day gift shopping seasons.
These are great deals on their own, but I also like to think that they’re affordable gateways into Milwaukee’s M12 Li-ion cordless power tool platform.
Oh, and Milwaukee’s M12 Hackzall compact reciprocating saw kit is also on sale for $99. This kit comes with just (1) Li-ion battery pack.

Hmm, I’d better close my browser and wrap up this post before it becomes another Mega Deal and Tool News Post.
So what do you think of these deals? Do you know of any other deals you’d like to share with fellow readers?

Hum…. While I don’t “NEED” another m12 drill it couldn’t hurt!!! Especially if it comes with a speaker!!!!!!!!!!!

Other than maybe cabinet assembly…….my experience with the m12 line is unimpressed. If i buy into more of the m12 family it will only be the fuel versions where available.
So……while tempting, the “freebie” promotions wont get me to buy what i think is a substandard performing product.

The fuel m12 drill is the real deal as big as most 18v drills and as powerful. I have impact and saw as well they are both satisfactory. The m12 line is great if size and weight are your main concern. But these deals are not at all tempting to me.

I saw these at my local HD earlier today, too bad i have Bosch 12v or id probably snag this.

The m12 line of tools has a near identical battery compartment as the bosch 12v max tools.
I’ve modified a few M12 tools to take my bosch batteries. The polarity is reversed, so you have to open up the tool and switch the polarity of the contacts and also slightly bend them just a touch closer together. Then, you simply slice off about 3/8″ From the battery housing and the Bosch battery slips right into place and actually ‘locks’ into the M12 battery tabs.
I’ve done it with the radio, the 12 volt outlet, the jacket battery pack and a flashlight.

Have also modified the larger milwaukee cordless shopvac to take my Makita LXT Batts, as well as making a bosch brute 18volt to Makita LXT battery conversion to use my bosch cordless mitersaw, planer, jigsaw, recip saw and drywall cutout tool with my LXT Batts…

The Milwaukee m12 radio sounds much better than the Bosch 12 volt radio…

Ok deals, but I really want to see the Fuel versions go on sale. More expensive but a better value if you us them frequently or heavily.

I straight up dropped a plugged in charger into my sink of hot soapy water and when I pulled it up by the cord water ran out of it. I set in on a towel in my kitchen for three days (praying my husband wouldn’t notice-he never did), and plugged it in. Both lights flashed three times then stopped. I popped in a battery and got the trusty red light. 20 minutes later it was green. HALLELUJAH!! Now I don’t have to say anything. He told me he paid $350 for the drill/speaker/charger/bag combo. I know he’s full of bull but now I don’t have to spend $25 to try to hide a box when the replacement comes…LOL!! I wouldn’t recommend dunking your charger but it’s quality equipment that can tolerate it
