Hot Deal: Milwaukee M12 Drill Kit + Bonus Impact (or Other Tool) for $99

Milwaukee M12 2407 Drill Bonus Combo

Milwaukee’s free tape measure and bonus tool promo is still ongoing at Home Depot, but there are also a bunch of separate promo deals worth highlighting.

We have already said that Milwaukee’s updated M12 2407 drill/driver is a great bargain at $99 for the 2-battery kit, and gave it value runner up standing in our 2014 best cordless drill recommendations. That kit is still a great bargain, but now Home Depot is running a special promo where you can get the drill, 2 batteries, AND their refreshed impact driver for the same $99 price.

There are a couple of other bonus combo options as well, all of them also priced at $99. If you have been looking for a non-brushless 12V-class drill/driver or entry into Milwaukee’s M12 lineup, these deals are worthy of close consideration.

Other Combos(via Home Depot)

This is such a good deal that I find myself tempted to order a combo for personal use. If it comes to that, I would flip a coin between getting the drill and impact bonus combo, or the drill and hackzall bundle.

Thanks to Matt for the heads-up! Matt actually wrote in about a Bosch 12V clearance deal at Menards stores, but something he said prompted me to see what kind of promo Home Depot was running on the M12 drill and impact combo.

Update: Matt’s tip was about the drill, impact, radio, and L-Boxx deal which is $132.61 at Menards (after mail-in rebate). It’s a clearance item and only available in-stores. There’s also a 2-tool combo for $112.14 (after mail-in rebate). The lowest I saw the 3-tool and 2X L-Boxx combo kit for was $160 during the 2013 winter holidays. $160 was great, $133 is even better. But since these are in-store-only clearance items at Menards, which is not a nationwide retailer, I couldn’t really justify a deal post.

The deals certainly seem very good – especially based on individual prices. Under other combos – I see that they have a bundle that includes the older 1/4 hex impact driver (2450-20) instead of the newer one (2462-20). I’m not sure why one would want to make that choice. As far as your choice – I can say that we found the Hackzall to be a very convenient tool – not as a full replacement for a sawzall but for use in plumbing – especially in cramped quarters like under sinks.

these are indeed very nice, but as soon as i got one i liked it so much i went and bought the fuel brushless replacements instantly. but for small DIY and home owner use these are great! i do love the hackzall ( non fuel ) as well, have used it way more then i thought i would.

Now you’ve got me wondering if I want to pick up the Milwaukee drill and right angle drill kit for $99 or save a few bucks and buy a bare Bosch right angle drill to go with the tools I already have.

I’ve got the bosch 12v driver and impact gun.. and an older 18v porter cable kit. I’ve only run into a few things the bosch kit can’t do. The batteries on the porter cable driver are on their way out and I’ve really been looking at replacing them with the M18 lineup. I’m wondering if the m12 line might meet my needs?
Or maybe I should wait for a good deal on the m18… decisions decisions…

I was curious too, so I googled ‘Bosch clearance 12v Menards,’ and the first few results were clearance products. The best deal is the impact & drill combo with 2 L-box’s for ~$112 after 11% instore credit rebate.

Stuart may have wanted to pickup a set, before posting the deal.

I can’t tell if you’re joking but that’s not something I would do. If I’m interested in a limited-quantity deal, I draft up a post, hit *publish* and then order. If a deal is very time sensitive or in very short supply, I would publish a quick post, order one for myself, and then update the post with more details.

oh yes, it’s a joke (I wish there was some kind of sarcasm font). you are to unbiased to do that, at least that’s what I take away from your tool reviews. and I can only imagine how many drills/drivers you have on your bench at any given time, yours or test units, to need/want anymore

That’s what I figured, but when in doubt I assume no joke. Everything on ToolGuyd stays up for perpetuity, so I would have responded in the same way even if I was certain you were joking.

Links added at the end of the post.

The clearance combo kits are only available at Menards B&M stores in midwest USA. Seems to be a very “your miles might vary” deal, as only some stores have remaining stock.

I bought the M12 2407 Drill/Driver Kit back in June with your input on what to buy. I had to exchange it for the exact same kit about a week later because the clutch adjusting ring turned too hard.

Can I still return it for a refund and then turn around and buy it again with the bonus tool?

I don’t have the original paper receipt or anything they gave me when I did the exchange. The original receipt is listed in my account at Home Depot’s website though so should this be enough?

Home Depot has a 90-day return policy on most items, including power tools.

Since this is an online promo, a return and rebuy might not be doable. One potential neutrally ethical option is to buy a new combo with promo offer and then return just the unopened drill kit under the old receipt. This way they can resell the tool as new.

Talk with customer service or your local store to make sure they can process your return. Since an exchange was made, your original receipt might only show a return.

in case anyone cares……………Menards site says………….

    Final Price: $132.61
Everyday Low Price: $199.00 Sale Price: $149.00
    11% Mail-In Rebate: $16.39
    Your Final Price: $132.61

You Save: $66.39 after Sale Price & Mail-In Rebate
    Limited Time Offer

The displayed price after rebate shows your estimated product price after rebate.
Rebate is in the form of a merchandise credit check which may only be redeemed
    in store. Some exclusions apply.

So its 150 bucks for the kit and then 16 bucks on a gift card that you’ll forget about and never use.

Regardless, Stu, dont refrain from posting deals that some of us could use. Menards has a good range of hand tools that i’ve never seen at the other box stores.

Not every deal is going to make it into a post. Otherwise there would be so many posts every day that there would be nothing else on the site. There are a lot of Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears clearance deals that have very limited brick & mortar availability and so they never make it into deal posts either.

That’s an amazing deal because it comes with two batteries. I’m tempted to buy it, but I really don’t need another M12 drill.

If Milwaukee had a way to pick the tools, I’d happily buy a 90 degree drill, hackzall & two batteries for $100. I have enough chargers, and I really don’t need another.

You might be able to find a combo like that as part of the other current promo, but not for $99.

I’m in the same boat. All I need (can justify) is the Hackzall and right angle drill. I want a better deal than just one for $99. Yes, I’m cheap but I have a limited budget for my toys; however, when the circular saw comes out, I’ll be picking it up without hesitation!
