Deal Update: Milwaukee M12 Drill, Impact, (3) Battery Kit Bundle

Home Depot Milwaukee Drill Impact and Free Battery Bundle

Yesterday I posted an update to the Milwaukee M12 drill, impact, bonus battery kit bundle deal that’s running at Home Depot. The price of the bundle dropped to $99 from $129, which makes it an incredible bargain that’s hard to keep our wallets closed against.

Yesterday, the deal was available for in-store pickup but not for at-home delivery. Now, you can no longer buy it online for in-store pickup, but you can buy it online for home delivery. Shipping is free.

Stores should have plenty of stock remaining, but might be holding onto a couple for holiday shoppers, hence the change in in-store pickup availability.

So, if you want to take advantage of this deal, you can buy one (or more) to be sent straight to your door, or head to your local Home Depot and try to pull one from the shelf. This might all change again tomorrow.

as per HD website there is some discrepancy regarding the actual model of drill/driver you may get. under ‘product overview’ the listing gives stats of model 2408-20 yet at the bottom under ‘what’s included’ it says model 2407-20. i called HD help line and they in fact say 2408-20 is shipped. i’ve ordered one and am anxiously waiting to see which one i get.

You definitely get the 2407 (non-hammer drill). Not that it really matters, this is still a great deal.

If you really wanted a hammer drill I think the best bet would be to save up for the M12 Fuel hammer drill. Just about as much power as an 18V hammer drill, 1/2″ chuck, etc. Essentially a compact and lightweight replacement for just about any 18V hammer drill.

Their web team goofed, and HD help line people are reading what it says on the site. Ever since this promo combo appeared a couple of weeks ago, it has only shipped with the 2407 drill, and the bundles are the same in stores as well.

Yeah others have noted it is NOT the 2408 hammer drill. And I also agree the the 2404 Fuel w 1/2″ chuck would be infinitely more useful.

Not sure about anyone else, but the guys at my local home depot gave me the 4.0 battery when I went to pick it up. Even more of a deal if you ask me

Did yours not come with the extra battery in the box? A few people on Slickdeals were reporting that.

The two kits I have both show the extra battery as included right on the box, so no hope for my stores to hand me another battery.

The kits at my local Home Depot also have the free battery advertised as included in the box.

Sounds like the associates at Jake’s store couldn’t find or ran out of the promo kit and pulled the regular combo off the shelf along with a separate battery.

My local HD ran out of the promo kits with the free 3.0 battery, so they just gave me a 4.0 battery off the shelf. I plan on saving the 4.0 battery for the new Fuel circular saw, which will be coming out soon (hopefully.)

Deal isn’t valid for me… the product page shows the price of $99, but when I try to checkout the price jumps back up to $169. Even at the last step of checkout it remains that price instead of the discounted price.

Just checked the HD site and the kit is listed for $169. So much for the $99 deal.

I still see $99. You might have to enter in your zip code to see the $99 pricing. Or, it’s possible that the deal ended, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I still see it shown as in-stock and available for shipping with the $99 price.

I concur with the other posters. This deal was there yesterday, but today it’s showing up as $169. The build your own deal seems to be evaporating too. Toolbarn is the only vendor I can find that’s still offering it.

I think the deal’s over. Online at least. When I click the link or search HD.com, it pulls up the $169 price.

Weird thing is that if I sort the results Price:Low to High, it shows it right in the middle of all the $99 items.

Yea none in the box for me, they were not labled as such in the store. A guy I work with went and picked one up and got the same thing… They scanned a promo sheet when I got mine but had to override the battery basically giving it to me. Not sure what the deal was, good thing I got it while it was on sale!

I’m now seeing $169 as well.

My guess is that the deal was more popular than Home Depot wanted and so they pulled the plug on it. I’m sure there’s plenty of these kits still on shelves and in warehouses, and that we might see the deal resurface in coming weeks. They probably just didn’t want to sell out before Black Friday.

I see it at 169 also. This is a fair deal on two great tools that has me drooling. Now if only they would throw in some of their bit sets It be a no brainer for me!!!!

Unbelievable deal!! After the website reverted back to the $169 price this morning, I though I would try my luck in-store, not even expecting them to have it in stock. I asked who I thought was an associate if they had any kits left, he politely walked me to the Milwaukee display, and we both saw the kit there with an advertised price of $129, which is clearly not the $99 or $169 we’ve been seeing.

I asked if that was the new price since the kit was on promo, and he wasn’t sure but he looked it up on his phone. The website showed the price at $169, but he believed that I saw the kit online for $99 so he decided to give me $30 off the labeled price of $129! Must’ve been a manager of some sort, because he just instructed the cashier to apply the discount whenever I checked out, except that when I actually checked out the price the kit rang up was the previously advertised $99 deal! AND THEN I GOT THE EXTRA $30 HE SAID HE WOULD TAKE OFF!!! I got this kit for $69!!! I could barely contain myself! A single bare tool costs more than that!

Did that kit come with the 3.0 or 4.0 battery?

2 of the standard 1.5 batteries and the extra XC battery which was packaged together is the older 3.0

I read your previous post announcing that this deal was $99 and immediately went to HD to pick it up. I’ve been following your updates on it, and I could not be happier that I pulled the trigger. It is disappointing that not everyone was able to get it for the $99 deal, but I am sure it will return!
These are excellent drills/drivers and after only a single day of use, I know I’ll be getting my money’s worth out of them in no time at all.

as of Tuesday night close of business, it is still tagged with $129 but rings up $99 in central Texas anyway. I checked the price right at closing.

I tried to get the online price in store two nights ago for $99, but the LA area stores apparently don’t even carry the battery to supplement!
I’m showing $129.99 for home delivery right now, which is still a pretty good deal, but not so good that I can’t pass it up.

The current “new low price” is $129 at my local store in the Chicago ‘burbs. I had them check at the register to see if the $30 would come off but no such luck.

Since Bosch is coming out with 12v brushless models, I was hoping and wishing Bosch affectionados might see a similar $99 deal. Still hoping!

That’s unlikely. Their 12V pricing is $149 for the screwdriver kit and $159 for the drill kit (Amzn search).

There’s little incentive for them to discount these models, but we might see a discount or special L-Boxx bundle with the older brushed models as we’ve seen in the past.

The 12V brushless tools have been out for less than a year, and so I think it’s too soon for them to lower the price to $99. A drop to $129 for either kit would be a hot deal, $99 would probably be unheard of.

I just found one! Sitting on a shelf at a Home Depot in northern WI. I’ve been checking every HD in every town I travel to/through. I actually found one still on the shelf. $129. Still a smoking deal. Don’t give up they’re still out there.
