Crazy Hot Deal: Milwaukee M12 Drill, Impact Driver, 3 Battery Kit for $99!

Home Depot Milwaukee Drill Impact and Free Battery Bundle

Do you remember that Milwaukee M12 drill, impact driver, and free XC 3.0A battery deal that I posted about last month? The price yo-yoed between $129 and $169 a few times.

Update: The $99 sale price has returned on Thanksgiving, and should remain valid through the weekend, unless supplies run out first!

Well, that special bundle has just dropped in price to $99 (again). You can still buy it online, with free shipping and ship-to-store pickup as options. There might still be stock in stores as well.

If you already bought one of these combo kits at $129, head on in-store over the weekend to ask for a price adjustment. If they cannot do that, then they should be able to allow for “return and rebuy” transactions so you get the lower price.

If you didn’t buy one yet, and have been shopping around for a new 12V-class drill and impact driver combo, what are you waiting for?! You won’t find a better deal that this, unless other pro-grade brands such as Bosch and Dewalt can match it with their own 12V combo kit offerings.

Check out some of Home Depot’s other Black Friday 2014 tool deals!

During much of the last year, Milwaukee’s M12 drill/driver kit was priced at $99, and even that was a good bargain. Now, you also get an impact driver and a free XC 3.0Ah battery pack for the same $99 price.

This is a fantastic deal, forgive me if I sound excited. It looks like Home Depot stores have increased the number of kits in their inventory to match demand, but at this price these special bundles will likely fly off the shelves.

Buy Now(via Home Depot)

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go hide my wallet, lest I order couple of kits to give as new homeowner gifts or for a future giveaway. I’m finding it difficult to not pull the trigger on a deal this good.

I’m ignorant when it comes to the difference between the batteries these come with as opposed to th “Fuel” batts. Obviously, the Fuel must be better, but in what way? More power? Last longer?

    Thanks

Milwaukee “Fuel” tools have brushless motors.

The Fuel kits often come with Milwaukee’s highest capacity batteries, presumably to offer more for the higher premium attached to the more powerful and better featured brushless tools.

The Fuel kits often come with 2.0Ah and/or 4.0Ah batteries. This kit comes with 1.5Ah batteries and the free bonus battery is a 3.0Ah pack.

The higher the number, the higher the charge capacity and longer the runtime before a recharge is needed.

    Thanks.

So Fuel = brushless. Is brushless significantly better to warrant passing up this deal?

Sorry to ask so many questions.

Brushless is better, but you would also have to spend a lot more for the power, runtime, and features benefits.

Milwaukee’s M12 Fuel brushless drill/driver kit is currently priced at $179. The drill and impact driver kit is $289, and there’s also a hammer drill and impact driver kit for $269.

The Fuel brushless tools are better in many ways, but you pay dearly for them.

I also had no idea that Milwaukee’s “FUEL” ment brushless until I found this site. They should really market that better. Makita’s and dewalts BL drills are clearly marked and advertised as such however Milwaukee’s doesn’t.

Thought very hard about this at $129 last week when I was in the store. At $99 it was easier to cave in and go for it. Also added a right angle drill with free battery and one of the screwdriver bundles while I was at it. I’ll end up with a drill, impact, right angle drill, charger, 4 batteries, screwdriver, and bottle opener for right at $200 which is way less than I would have spent on the other good Milwaukee promo going on right now.

I’ve had Bosch 12 volt tools for several years and like the tools but they don’t seem to want to expand their lineup or innovate the way Milwaukee does. There are a few other tools from the lineup that I’ll get over time.

Bosch has expanded their 12v offerings with some solid tools – they are just not available in North America (NAINA)

I know. Stuart teasing us with stuff he finds that is NAINA doesn’t help matters. In the end I’ll buy the product that best suits my needs / wants that I can get here in the states which means I’m more than likely done with Bosch 12V tools. It’s unfortunate since they are a quality product at a competitive price.

I received the same Home Depot e-mail this morning, and I had to hide my wallet, too! Then I reminded myself that I have a pretty awesome Dewalt 20V hammer drill and impact driver combo in the garage. Not brushless, mind you, but still awesome workhorses.

Wow. OK, bought. I’d already got the rotary tool (it’s OK, but a tad thick) and the right angle drill (tool only) for some tough to reach cabinet work, but I’d always thought about another battery. Now perhaps I can sell one of the chargers and really save $$$$….

I still prefer my 18V stuff, but for light work, this’ll be nice. Probably keep this stuff in the house.

Great deal- thanks for the heads up. I’ve got an old set of Bosch 12 volt drills I use around the house, but the batteries don’t hold a charge for very long. This set looks like a good replacement.

Should be a GREAT replacement. First off, your old Bosch are probably NiCd batteries, so you’ll be happy with Lithium Ion. Plus, the brushless motors will extend that battery life even further. Maybe I should open my wallet after all? Hahaha.

This is NOT the Fuel combo, just the old school brushed motors. Still good, but not brushless good.

I picked one up today. If you have a home depot card it takes another 5% off. At $94 I don’t think you will find a better deal.

I just bought the $99 Ridgid 12V drill/impact kit yesterday (courtesy last week’s heads-up) – should I turn around and swap it out for this? I see there’s an extra Milwaukee battery to be had (although it’s two 1.5Ah and one 3Ah compared to Ridgid’s 2+4Ah), but I ever-so-slightly prefer the way the Ridgid tools feel. Sure, Milwaukee seems to have more 12V tools, but does either set really stand out? Thanks!

I had the same decision to make last week. I went with the Ridgid because I liked the feel, light location, and batteries more. The lifetime warranty on batteries push it over the edge.

There are many horror stories of people having difficulty with warranting of the batteries. Not me, but I’ve seen enough online it gave me pause.

If I didn’t require some specific m12 tools I would definelty choose the rigid over the m12 combo kit.

I had my m12 charger and jigsaw stolen on my last job but my hammer drill and batteries survived , kept going back and forth whether to go dewalt 20v or m12 again.

The made in the USA aspect for Dewalt was very very hard to pass up but at $99 I had to go with this m12 deal, especially since I already had 4 batteries and 2 m12 tools.

For anyone that orders this and does in-store pickup, make sure you look at the package before accepting it. My local store pulled a 2494-22 which is the same kit minus the free battery. Apparently they have been mixed together on store shelves and still show the $129 price from last week. They told me they were at least a week away from having the correct 2494-22B in stock so they gave me the last 2494-22 in the store and pulled a loose XC battery to make me whole.

I had purchased this combo last weekend. I was travelling this week so could not get to the store on Tuesday. I took my receipt in this morning and the first HD said they could do nothing…it was a one day “managers special”.

I stopped by a second store on the way to work and they gladly refunded the original 129 and then re-sold for 99.

$30 was worth it for me.

Went to your link, and it is now “Out Of Stock Online”, with no option to order and pick up at store.
I live over an hr. away from Hm. Despot, an not worth it to make a special trip.
