In another fine example of aggressive Milwaukee pricing – not that I’m complaining! – you can get an M12 Hazkzall and hammer drill kit for just $129.
There are a bunch of other bonus kits based off the 2420-21 Hazkzall kit, essentially giving you the pick between a hammer drill, Bluetooth speaker, impact driver, hand vac, extended capacity battery pack, or LED lantern.

I think the Hackzall and hammer drill bonus pair the best together, at least for someone looking for high bang for the buck entry into Milwaukee’s M12 lineup.
The bonus kits are all priced at $129, but it’s also worth pointing out that the Hackzall kit by itself has dropped in price to $99.
So… are these bonus kits still free tool bonus kits if the base tool kit is on sale?
Keep in mind that the Hackzall is a 12V-class compact reciprocating saw. It’ll work wonders for light duty or close quarters cutting.
The hammer drill, model 2408-20, typically retailers for $90 as a bare tool. It’s pretty capable too, with a 275 in-lb max torque rating appropriate for its size.
The Hackzall kit comes with a charger, carrying bag, and compact 1.5Ah Li-ion battery pack.

Our plumbing crews really liked the M12 Hackzall. It’s no where near being a fully functional reciprocating saw. But for cutting out plastic pipe and copper tubing in tight quarters, it got their job done where their bigger Makita 18V saw would have been awkward
Matt
Didn’t they have this drill + hackzall combo for $99 for much of the holiday season last year? Wish I picked it up back then.
Stuart
Good memory. I didn’t think so, but I wrote about it last year:

There’s no guarantee that the deal will return – Milwaukee’s holiday M12 bundles tend to change each year.
Yadda
The M12 kit they sold for $99 two years ago was a drill and a hammer drill in a bag with three batteries.

My local HD, Evanston IL, is selling this M12 Hackzall kit for $99 even though it is online for $129. They are also running the free accessory promo. I purchased the hackzall kit with a free 4.0 Ah battery since I already have an M12 drill (you have a choice of free accessories: 4.0 battery, bluetooth speaker, LED light, drill, impact driver) for something like $107 out-the-door.

They will get lower

You have been able to get this deal for the last month in store (ironically expires today). You could buy the hackzall kit, and get several other tools/lights/battery for free. Two of the items were the hammer drill & impact unit. Other kits qualified, but this was the cheapest @ $99.
I’ve bought a bunch of tools this way in the last couple weeks. Plus I get 11% back from them matching Menards promotion.
HD just put up their holiday promos. Milwaukee looks to be the same, where you get $150 for buying the M18 brushless kit for $399 (what do you know, the price jumped $50 from last week!) + another tool. But they added in a higher tier if you get the OneKey, and get $200 off that + another tool.
Ryobi has buy a $99 drill, get another of several tools free. Ridgid has buy a particualr kit, get a free tool too. Didn’t see anything from Dewalt, but I couldn’t care less with their molasses style of releasing new tools (ya flex volt it cool, but where are all the 20v tools you are missing)
They put all the promos up in several stores, but don’t start until 10/31
Adam
If you are interested in this combo and can get into a store today, it will save you $30. They also split the savings, so if you get the $90 hammer drill, they take $90 off from both items, making the kit ~$55, and drill ~45 (for return purposes).

That’s really handy to know. I won’t abuse it, but someone probably will.

Thanks for the links Stuart. I see HD also has a special for a 3″ hardline knife plus the m12 flashlight for $99. Great deal!
Stuart
I saw that too, was thinking it’ll be a weekend or Monday deal post. Looks like a great deal.

Home Depot had some 3 drill, 2 battery kits on sale for $99 to $129 a couple weeks ago. I almost bought a few more but decided 7 M12 drill/impacts were enough….for now at least. I think this is the same or similar deal to what Adam posted too. I tell everyone who wants to buy to just wait and watch, as I feel the 3 tool deal comes up like 2 times a year.

That’s going to be a really hot deal if the saw kit drops to $99.
The short stroke does mean the compact saws take longer over their corded or 18V counterparts, but I still grab mine more often over getting out the larger corded saws unless it just won’t do the job.
Not a bad idea to get the combo with the XC battery, since the 12V saws last a LOT longer with a bigger battery than they do with the regular 1.5A. If you don’t need to use the saw for more than a few cuts at a time, the regular battery is fine and if you have more than one, can always swap in a fresh one while the depleted one charges and just keep doing that.
