Hot Deal: Milwaukee M12 Impact Driver Kit for $79!

Milwaukee M12 2462 Impact Driver kit

Last month we posted about how Milwaukee’s newest M12 drill and impact driver kits were great buys at $99 each. Now, the impact driver kit (2462-22) is on sale for just $79, which is an astoundingly good deal.

This actually might be the best deal we have seen all year on a 12V-class Li-ion compact impact driver.

While not packed with the latest and greatest tech, such as a brushless motor and multiple speed and torque settings, the new M12 impact driver does offer decent technical specs and improved ergonomics.

With this kit you get the new impact driver, (2) Li-ion batteries, a charger, and a hard-shell carrying case, at the same price as for the bare tool impact driver (2462-20).

The 1/4″ hex impact delivers up to 1000 in-lbs of torque and has a 0-2500 RPM gearbox.

Buy Now(via Home Depot)

You can order online with free shipping or free in-store pickup. Many stores might also have this kit in stock, and should be able to price match the store price to the online price if different.

      Thanks for the note!

While the 1.5Ah battery came out earlier, the 2.0Ah isn’t replacement it, at least not yet. The 2.0Ah batteries are only bundled in the premium kits, such as the Fuel brushless drills, drivers, and wrenches.

Dang that is insanely cheap for a quality impact.

Hey Stuart, is there any Milwaukee promotions going on right now or even discounts at home depot like $5 off a minimum purchase or something like that?

None that I am aware of, sorry. Instead of a blanket $$-off promo, certain kits are discounted, and the free bonus tool with combo kit promo is still in effect.

HD has this up I’m not a 100% sure it still works though. It’s 5 dollars off 50.

There’s also a $20 off $200 for Home Depot Pro members right now, but it says in-store only. Codes are unique so you’ll need to sign up at their site and hope to get one, not sure if this deal is available in-store as well.

Look for a Harbor freight coupon, bring it in to HomeDepot and they “should” honor it as a competitor’s coupon.

I just got this kit and the 3/8″ hammer/drill driver with 25% off. I feel like I stole it.

There’s a $5 off coupon for signing up for their email list. I used it on the drill a couple of days ago. 74 bucks was just too good for me to pass up.

Is this a better deal than the bosch PS21-2a currently available at amazon for $79? Btw, just looking for light duty fastening and occasional pilot drilling. Thanks!

I wrote a little about that Bosch deal the other day – https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/bosch-12v-drill-driver-kit-deals-122013/%3C/a%3E .

The Bosch PS21 is a screwdriver with adjustable clutch, this Milwaukee M12 model is an impact driver with no clutch.

The Bosch will be better for driving smaller fasteners with greater control, the Milwaukee will be better for driving larger or longer fasteners faster.

Deal-wise, add $21 or more of eligible Bosch accessories to your PS21 order, and you get $25 off instantly at checkout.

For light duty fastening, I would look more towards the Bosch. It should be able to handle pilot hole drilling as well, but you’ll either need a drill chuck adapter or 1/4″ hex drill bits.

I have several drills and the inspection camera. The battery life is short and the battery is difficult to get a grip on and pull out to charge.

I wish I had the money for this. I’m seriously thinking about getting rid of my makita 18v tools and investing in the Milwaukee 12v system.
