We anticipate that Milwaukee will soon be announcing a few new power tools, and possibly some neat accessories as well – it’s about that time of year. I don’t know about you, but I find it fun to try to guess which tools are being updated and if any dramatically new tool designs will enter the mix. So, here goes!
Updated Milwaukee M12 Cordless Screwdriver
In last year’s predictions, I mentioned that Milwaukee’s sub-compact M12 screwdriver was beginning to get a little long in the tooth. It’s about time that Milwaukee updated the M12 driver with a smaller form factor and a bit more torque capabilities.
Milwaukee M12 Right Angle Driver
Also in last year’s predictions, I believed that an M12 driver was on the way. I was wrong. Maybe this year? I think we’ll see a compact M12 driver or impact driver, more preferably the first with an adjustable chuck. Even Bosch’s looking to renew their share of the right angle market, with their new RA pivoting 12V Max drill.

Milwaukee M12 Cordless Ratchet *Confirmed*
As we broke news about two months ago, Milwaukee is coming out with both 1/4″ and 3/8″ M12 cordless ratchets. (WooHoo)
Milwaukee Automotive Solutions
I’m not sure if this is an existing program or a brand new one, but it looks like Milwaukee is going after the auto market with their cordless ratchet and a grease gun. What might else be introduced in this category?
M12 Mini Circular Saw
Just a hunch, although not a very strong one. We haven’t seen too many mini circular trim saws enter the market, and I haven’t really seen too many on jobsites either.
M18 Cordless Drill Drivers Update
Dewalt updated their drill/drivers while crossing over from 18V to 20V Max platforms. Bosch updated their drill/drivers recently as well. These things happen in threes!
Unexpected Powered Thingamajigs
Last year Milwaukee surprised everyone with a few neat surprise gadgets and tools. We already know that a new Realtree-themed heated jacket is on the way, but there’s bound to be at least one surprise.
Milwaukee has the broadest 12V cordless tool lineup on the market, and they love pushing boundaries, and so it’s actually predictable that there will be at least one oooh-ahhh type of out-of-the-blue product. Is it cheating that I’m predicting that something unpredictable will be announced? Maybe.

What do you guys think might be announced next week?
Bob
I have seen a picture of a new M18 cordless caulk gun.
It’s on Milwaukee’s website in the center of their M18 lineup picture. To my knowledge, no official metion has been made of it yet.
Stuart
Good catch! It looks like an update/adaptation of their 14.4V version.

I’ve probably viewed that picture half a dozen times before I actually noticed it…
