Sorry! Because this email was published after 11am ET, like the Prime Day post, you’ll be receiving the email notification of the post after the deals have already expired. I try to be good about this, but sometimes it’s unavoidable.

Why do they make portable miter stands without wheels? Does anyone prefer them this way? If you do, please enlighten me.

Amount of room they take up in the truck or van would be my guess.

Since it is compact and folding, I would guess that the stand doesn’t include wheels because it would be more expensive to manufacture and would not fold-up as small or be more difficult to fold-up.

I have the dewalt version of the folding stand and I have not used it much as its a hassle to remove the saw everytime I want to set up somewhere else. I’d much rather have a rolling stand. waiting for the dewalt or the rigid stand to come up for sale, then the folding stand is getting retired.

The ridged goes on sale every black Friday for$100. It is the best deal in saw stand period.

I see a use case for both. Like Thomas said the one without wheel are very compact and light. I personally own the Bosch T4B. For my use case it work great since that thing only move in and out of the garage for the most part. It’s hefty and it’s not something I would want to carry up and down a flight of stairs.

I argee, while I did buy the Saw combo I will more than likely use it with my Rigid Miter SUV stand it has 12″ wheels and sets up amd breaks down in less than 2 seconds. It handles stairs and uneven terrain easily. I use my miter all the time it was a pain before with the old wheeless stand. The stand does have a larger footprint for storage but its easy move it around when in storage.

Seems like a good deal on the hammer drill/impact combo plus the free hackzall. It has the cordless tools most DIY/homeowners would use and all of the tools have 5 star ratings.

The m18 miter saw including bonus 9 ah battery has been below 499 in past promos. Just saying.

Pulled the trigger, on the Saw deal.

Kinda funny how Milwaukee’s hole saw promo with free M12 FUEL Hacksawz deal (easy e-rebate albiet it took longer to show up) took me where I’m selling most of my DeWalt 20v Max tools.

Last winter I went ahead an bought the M12 Fuel Driver/Drill kit with free bare tool (3/8 right angle impact ratchet) I really hated the idea of adding another charging platform, but I was disappointed with the 12v DeWalt sawzall and my 18V DeWalt sawzall was a bit long in the tooth even with 18V LiON battery packs. Its also heavier and battery life can’t compete with 20V max. I mainly use it for arbor work in/on trees, with prunning blades, they also work great on roots of small trees and shrubs , and the blades are only a few bucks each so it makes stump and tree removal on trees up to 10-12″ trunks at ground level easy to remove with having to rent a stump grinder.

I digress I bought the M12 Fuel kit at HD an figured if it wasnt at least as powerful or able to replace non 20V Max tools, (kit tools not premium models) I could return it easily enough. Well even my premium model 20V max are just collecting dust. I’ve added more M12 Fuel tools, and love that they a more compact and easy to transport in less space.

I’ve held off on replacing my 10-15 y.o. 10″ miter, it better built than a lot of the newer more expensive 10″ saw.

I’m mainly using this for clients for fence, arbor, trellis, and rasied beds (2″x12″ rough cut cedar) so the saw is perfect for 4″x4″ PT post and 2″x12 boards.

To often I’ve ended up with my 50′ 12ga extension getting rather hot even on cold days from homes without exterior or close garage outlets. The last thing I want to do is cause a house fire because of old wiring or undersized wiring . So this is perfect solution to several issues.

I have noticed that battery life on many of the my newer tools has improved lightyears, I find that my need to swap batteries or recharge is longer and longer. So I’m sure that the 9ah will be quite sufficient and allow me to use/buy M18/FUEL tools if the M12 FUEL are not powerful enough.
