Arghhh, I’m so conflicted! Very tempted to jump in to M18 and get rid of most of my neon green. I’ve been eyeing the Packout deals and think it would be a great way to organize my tools. New cordless tools, let alone a new system, are hard for me to justify right now.

l just bought the $299 M18 Hammer drill/Impact Packout combo this weekend to finally replace my Gen 1 Milwaukee M18 drill. l used it today on a job where l need to drill into concrete. 10 four inch deep holes, went through the concrete like butter and the battery meter didn’t flinch. HIGHLY recommended!

So far, there is nothing official about Lowe’s killing off Kobalt. They do seem to be reducing the number of items, like the tool chests.

I received the Packout hammer drill, impact combo this week. Not regretting that one bit! Those tools both have a ton of power and compared to their size, it is amazing. Nice to have the packout with the foam molding for taking them on the road too. Highly recommend!
