Hot Deal: Milwaukee M18 Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit

Milwaukee 2691-22 Latest Drill and Driver

Over at Home Depot, Milwaukee’s M18 drill and impact driver kit, 2691-22, just dropped in price from $199 to $149. It looks like it’ll stay this price throughout the holiday season and thru  2/1/2016. Just keep in mind that supplies might be limited.

I thought that this was a great combo deal, and that was back when it was $169 for Father’s Day!

These tools are also offered in separate promo kit options right now:

Milwaukee M18 2606 Drill Kit for $99
Milwaukee M18 2656 Impact Driver Kit for $99

With this kit, you get both the drill and impact driver, (2) compact Li-ion battery packs, a multi-voltage charger, and carrying case.

It’s normally a $200 kit, although I suppose could also buy the separate $99 promo kits for $198 and come out ahead with an extra charger.

These aren’t Milwaukee’s latest and greatest cordless power tools, but they’re decent brushed motor offerings. You don’t get fancy features, such as multiple speed and torque settings on the impact driver, and the drill can “only” deliver up to 500 in-lbs of torque.

If I were in the market for a new compact 18V cordless drill and impact driver combo on a budget, I’m fairly sure this is the kit I’d pick.

Price: $149

Home Depot Online Coupon: $5 Off $50 or more! Enter Promo code HDHOLIDAY. Valid 11/23/2015-12/03/2015, online only.

So that’s $144 after coupon. Not bad.

Is there another combo you would recommend as an even better buy than this one?

I think it includes a bag, not a case. I was hoping that it was a case…

It does look like a good (as far as price) deal. One of my bellwethers for deals is Zoro when they are having a 70% off sale (several times per year – usually with a $300 minimum buy) . So when I want a quick comparison for price I look at Zoro’s price and multiply by 0.7. In this case it comes out to be about $168.

You said 70% off, but you must mean 30% off. (You go on to say “multiply by 0.7”, so it’s clear that’s what you intended to say. And, indeed, 30% off their current price for this kit comes to $168.)

Wishful thinking or a Freudian slip – either way you are correct – its a 30% off deal that they run.

        Thanks for the correction.

I call that “car salesman math”, with car salesman math that is 70% off, not 30%.

For me, at $149 it’s a no brainer. Makes me feel bad I spent $199 on a comparable Bosch kit on Father’s Day…

either this or the $299 brush less combo(minus some amount of that $100). I can live without the hammer drill feature on the brush less, but what else am i missing out on?

I was pretty sure I was going to get the Bosch drill/impact kit for $170, but this changes things. Does anyone have a strong opinion about which to go with? $20 isn’t much of a difference…

I use my Milwaukee brush less everyday making a living and swear by it. Not a chance I would trade this quality for a Bosch/ Rigid/ Makita/ DeWalt/ or any other competitor. The quality of Milwaukee is heads and shoulders above the competition. I have tried all of the above and when i get tired of being disappointed I go back to the faithful Milwaukee. I have several brands of kits and judge them by how often they break down, the Milwaukee (by far) has been the most reliable brand the past 10 years,

I bought one of these last year for $199. I love it. One compact battery has lasted long enough for every home project I’ve used them for, and I like the light weight. I have a 3.0 battery I use with my impact wrench if I need it, but I don’t think I would. I guess if I were building a deck or something it might run out the batteries, but I still think I could charge one faster than I could run one down.

The photo and description refer to the older models, but hopefully Acme is shipping the new version of the kit.

I called Home Depot. The manager said they don’t normally do it but they will let me have the set for the sale price. Yay!
