Reader Chris gave us a heads up on a great deal over at International Tool. Right now you can buy a Milwaukee M18 Fuel Combo and get a free extra tool or 2-pack of batteries – and we’re talking about the latest high capacity 5.0Ah battery packs that sells for $200!
The promoted 2897-22 combo – the same as in this Home Depot promo – includes a 2704-20 M18 Fuel hammer drill with side handle, a 2753-20 M18 Fuel 1/4″ impact driver, two M18 RedLithium XC5.0 batteries, the standard dual-voltage charger, and hard carrying case.

These are Milwaukee’s latest and greatest M18 Fuel brushless hammer drill and M18 Fuel brushless impact driver. Here are the free bonus tools you can chose from:
- M18 Compact Blower ($79)
- M18 Hackzall Recip Saw ($99)
- M18 Fuel Sawzall Body ($179)
- M18 Fuel 4-1/2″ Grinder Body ($169)
- 2-pack M18 RedLithium XC5.0 Batteries ($199)
The tools that you can get for free keep changing. For example, yesterday Stuart saw the LED flood light, M12 bandsaw kit, M18 right angle drill, and rapid charge station in place of what’s currently listed.
Stuart’s Note: The price yesterday was also $349. $400 is still a great deal for this kit plus a free brushless bonus tool or 2-pack of XC batteries! There was a slightly better Black Friday deal, but it appears to be long over.
Of course if you could use the extra batteries, the best value is the M18 Fuel Combo Kit plus 2 more XC5.0 RedLithium batteries for a total of $400. Not too bad. To sweeten the pot, most items over $99 are shipped free! Just to verify this item was included, I added it to my cart and estimated the shipping costs. Sure enough flat rate and UPS ground shipping was free.
If you compare this to a previous Home Depot Deal this 2015 holiday season, the same M18 Fuel kit was $400 plus a $150 discount if you bought another eligible tool. The least expensive eligible add-on item is now $59, making the combo at Home Depot $308 after discount, including the add-on tool or accessory.

Thanks to Chris for the heads-up!
P.S. If you have shopped at International Tool before, could you please comment about your experiences? Thanks!

FYI, International Tool frequently runs great sales for items they either don’t have enough stock on or don’t even have in stock. This has no happened to me twice this year, once in June and now on Thanksgiving a week ago.
In June it took 2.5 weeks for my items to ship. When I called this week to check status on my Thanksgiving BF order they said it won’t ship until next week, essentially a 2 week wait. They’re waiting for their inventory shipment to arrive from Milwaukee’s distribution center.
It seems that they use their sales specials to finance their inventory purchases. Which is pretty lame, but as long as I get my order within a reasonable period, I’ll put up with it for now.

There seem to be lots of “no or low inventory” sellers out there. Some internet sellers do mostly drop-shipping from the manufacturer’s warehouse. And – as you say not having to carry inventory is a way to keep prices low. I guess its better than having a bait and switch game played on you – but I do like purveyors who try to be honest about what’s in stock at THEIR warehouse.

CPO Milwaukee has the same deal, for a while they also had 30 dollars off. Do you guys think it’s better to get the fuel saw saw or the two batteries? , I already have a xc 3.0 battery pack but I also have the flood light and I don’t own a saw saw

acmetools has the same deal as well as the Makita XT kits with 2 free batteries. Milawaukee also has $30 off a $300 dollar purchase but I’m not sure you can stack them.

I purchased one of these on Thanksgiving and got it 5 days later. They were selling it for $349 with one of these tools, a $15 gift card to be used on a future Milwaukee purchase and a jobsite organizer. Best Black Friday deal I saw. I bought another one the next day though and I haven’t received it yet. When I called, they said they are sold out but are still honoring all orders which is why it’s still on the site and they have hundred in route from Milwaukee. To be fair, it says “usually ships in 3-5 days”. Today would be the 5th day so we’ll see. Either way, I’ll wait. Hell of a deal.

Would you pick the extra batteries ot the extra tool? I was looking into a Milwaukee 6 tool combo and they offered an extra tool like the 1/2″ impact wrench or two 5.0 batteries. Which do you think is a better deal? I’m leading towards the extra tool.

ToolTopia now has the 1/2 , 3/8 impact and light FUEL combo for $539 – http://www.tooltopia.com/milwaukee-2796-23.aspx
Sale probably hasn’t hit CPO outlets yet as they have same package listed for $899

I called Wholesale Power Tools http://www.wholesalepowertools.com and they said they have over 100 kits in stock and ship the same day for free. I have used these Guys in the past past and their service is awesome.
